I don't know. I could never find a class I liked. It all felt really samey. I dreaded logging in and talking with my friends then doing the same instances over and over and over.

theres a few bugs with the models like hair and eyes. that's why.
Lighting changes a lot! (Even with the lighting in the benchmark CC being shit)

They got lazy and tried to use the old lighting in the character creation screen. They ended up regretting that decision.
I'm surprised that the character creation options didn't change with every expansion like other mmos
The character creation has some data limitation crap that makes it so they have to do shit like make the derplander stubble a separate face in order to make it work. Some egghead can explain it better than I can but it pretty much means you can't count on the character creation getting many improvements.

And they expect this shit to last 10 more years? Wtf could they even do at that point? During that time, better MMOs would be coming out.
The MMO genre is effectively dead at this point so I'm not too sure about that. I do agree that the longevity of this game is highly questionable because something's gotta give at some point.
I really hope it breaks mods for awhile. So the game can be good again.

Turned off all mods and reshade.
All I see is an asset update. They are now using specular (and normal) maps that aren't shit and the texture density is higher. Everything else is basically the same.
