That's not a photo of gen 7
Preach sister
Literally the most imperfect generation ever
>no Z version to unfrick XY
>no battle frontier sets a new shit standard for future remakes
>and that's all
Being better than gen 7 and 8 is NOT something to be proud of. In fact, it might even be worse than gen 9 assuming that gamefreak can do the bare fricking minimum since the bar is that low to surpass gen 6
>>no battle frontier
That started with gen 5
Nice reading comprehension you moron. ORAS is the reason why BDSP had no battle frontier because ORAS ruined remakes forever. The BW remake won't include PWT and tree hollow/black tower thanks to ORAS ruining remakes forever
>pic unrelated
>9 years later, little homosexuals who got xy for their 9th birthday claim it is the best generation
your generation and the ones to come will never experience something that isn't visionless superficial shit made for profit
>10 years later, little homosexuals who got BW2 for their 9th birthday claim it is the best generation
It's literally like that for every generation, Pablo
That game was full of good intentions and was complete, unlike xy and oras being rushed ugly crap, the only good thing from these games was the online
The only thing that matters is if you're having fun or not and thankfully, you're not the who gets to decide that. If I'm not having fun while playing BW2 and you do, who is in the right and who is in the wrong?
Then why claim one game is the best in its franchise when it is metrically false ? These discussions always end up in the field of "feels" when talking about the quality of something, it doesn't work like that.
>Then why claim one game is the best in its franchise when it is metrically false ?
Then why make so many "Gen 5 is the peak of the franchise" threads
I didn't talk about gen 5 until the other anon brought it comparing it to xy, which are not the same game on various levels.
>I didn't talk about gen 5
I know, but you're going to default to that anyway
No, mister strawman, I won't, because the discussion wasn't about that. This board is full of total morons.
Pokemon has two peaks really, Emerald and BW2
it's moronic to say one game is the best in the franchise when they don't change that much from one another to begin with
>Pokemon has two peaks really, Emerald and BW2
[citation needed]
He doesn't play other games so he values post-game over the actual game.
Kind of sad to be honest, if adding the battle facility is all it takes to make a game go from worst to peak then maybe they should just play smogon
adding Frontier to ORAS would make it go from
>very good
to
>undisputedly the best Pokemon game
Tell me where I can find the battle pyramid in showdown you homosexual
what? I played the games a lot so I value postgame a lot
postgame IS content that should be counted as well, you dumb?
the main game from Emerald and BW2 are also the most polished ones, anyways (actually ORAS might outclass them in that department)
want to see the points against it
This thread is for Pokemon xy and oras only other main games not welcome here
>Doesn't realize I'm talking about games other than Pokemon
Guess I hit the nail on the head. Autists like you tards are why they're forced to chrun out a game every single year.
Why do you feed anon ?
Correct
I confirm
>That game was full of good intentions
every game is "full of good intentions"
>and was complete
yeah, the greatest sign of a complete game is a sequel with zero new pokemon and reused dialogue everywhere
Why would a sequel to a less polished game would need to add new pokemon when it never occured in the franchise before ? Does anyone actually play the games here ?
>gold and silver didn't add new pokemon
That's an entire new generation and a new region you disingenuous idiot, unlike BW2 with BW
>That's an entire new generation and a new region
Yes, it's a higher quality higher effort game than BW2. Thanks for agreeing.
not an argument
based moron
Genuinely the most delusional post I've ever read on this board. Please get some perspective.
>posting a 3 dollars app to toy with the 3D gimmick of the brand new console released the same year and comparing it to the shitshow games that followed
Is this supposed to change what that post tried to say ? That app has more effort put into than the entirety of gen 8 lol
The games you grew up with were always trying to get by scamming you out of your money. It's why they released Blue a single year after Red/Green, and constantly do anti-consumer things like lock postgame content like the Black City / White Forest as version exclusives in the games you grew up with.
The two versions having different but similar content is a way to make you chose one of the disponible versions. Only morons or consoomers bought the two versions back then. Of course it is marketing, the difference is the effort put into the product your propose, now TPC are blatant greedy fricks and gamefreak don't give a single shit anymore, trying to convice me the actual state of this franchise is the same as the one where they GAVE you pokewalkers back then is dishonnest.
HGSS was the exception, not the rule. That was a miracle for any company to do something like the Pokewalker. Locking content behind a 40$ is the epitome of greediness however.
Both versions were bought when a family was composed of at least two children, the case of richgays or fanboys buying both versions alone was a minority as it is today. The third version "tradition" can be explained with the incapacity to propose polishing and revisiting of the base games through dlc, the format and the console impeding it. It was also a way to get extra bucks without that much effort indeed, I don't deny it, but nintendo releases calendar was strict and still is, but tpc and gamefreak added sometimes released extra free shit around the third version to compense (events, goodies etc). Now you have to buy Mew for 50 bucks and a shitty joystick. Spot the difference. Also the dlc format for additions to the base game is now possible and using it for SWSH was a step in the good direction, as shit these games were.
It goes both ways. I remember when I was younger really resenting the fact that I could see content like the Regi rooms (Gen 4), but have no meaningful way to interact with that content. I remember playing the Ranger games, not for Manaphy, but recognizing that it was the only possible way for anyone to possibly get that pokemon; I never thought that was really fair to anyone. However, these days, SwSh will literally shove all the legendaries you can get into a post-game mode, and I can see myself appreciating that as a child. I wouldn't be surprised if the games were objectively getting greedier if we compared them all using criteria, but the original point was that the moment the series went from "passion to profit" was as early as the Blue version and was definitive when FRLG were released.
Manaphy was distributed at the time of the release of the film in the US in 2007 and was locked behind a full game, the Regis could be transfered from RSE to unlock the rooms and it was a bit moronic indeed, but I understand what you say. The way they give "rare" pokémon like candies now is disgusting and clearly shows they don't care, they don't even have their own dungeons or quests anymore. Nothing is sacred.
They always had methods available, it's just that were stringent and required you to be somewhere at a certain time or buy other games, not very consumer friendly. Do I think Dynamax adventures is the most graceful, respectful way to handle legendary distribution? No. But I did have to reflect at some point and realize that the previous process of Mystery Gifts really wasn't all that meaningful either. Most, if not all, are just in glorified hallways and don't require any thought at all to catch or find them when they had no right to be. All of them should have Regi quality questlines that prioritize exploration and the catching aspect of the games, but TPC/Game Freak shat them out in droves in a very low quality fashion.
Last playable gen for sure.
True, this simply cannot be topped.
I agree. The ultimate trash tier
>XY games
Decent, can be a little fun
>XY anime
Unwatchable
>xyZ
>No Pokemon Z(ygarde)
Could you imagine how fantastic gen 6 would have been if they made Z the 20th anniversary game instead of cutting the entire generation short to make an anniversary generation?
Imagine Gen 6 Pokémon with actual Megas
I mean Gen 7 would have been even shittier then, no?
I’d say it’d have more if it’s own identity.
No day/night
No transfer from previous gens
"Cut" content that was obviously intended to house a legendary encounter but left in to pad playtime (New Mauville/Meteor Falls/Shoal Cave/Ect)
Grass encounters bloated with useless trashmons that no one uses.
Easiest, most anti climatic champion fight in the entire series.
No post game.
