Yeah the hit box for the iron bomber's pipes was bugged and much larger than it was supposed to be
The hitbox of the grenades it shot was like twice as big as the other launchers. It allowed you to hit shots that the others would miss under the exact same circumstances. Anyone who said they used it because the rollers were better is overdosing on copium. It was only ever because it required less aim.

It's worse than stock if the enemy knows how to crouch-jump and strafe to dodge the grenades. It gets called a crutch in higher levels of play since most players in pubs don't know how to dodge.

my only real gripe with the loose cannon is the projectile doesn't go as far even if you don't shorten the fuse.

Demoman should never under any circumstance move faster than he does with 4 heads and no Booties, even with Booties. Hard cap his speed at 127%.
