Why did you mention the 5 spells in witcher and ignored the hundred or so in DS? Also the the mechanics of souls is much smoother, the windows are tighter, overall a much more pleasant experience.

Is death march supposed to be hard? The parry window is still like a whole second, its impossible to fail one, you can roll for eternity, AI is still shit, not aggresive at all, meaning you're free to just kite. That shield spell that negates all the damage from one hit is on a couple of seconds long CD, even if you do frick up, you still take no damage. It only makes the already boring fights longer.

Maybe, its been like 8 years since i played it, cant remember everything. What i do remember is playing on Death march on my first playthrough and barely having any trouble whatsover. I even remember taking on enemies who were way above my level, because igni dealt percentage based DOT, you blast the target for like 200 and then in proceeds to tick for like 5000 a second. Unbalanced piece of shit.
Queen tanks 1 attack then you have to dodge or parry moron. Its the weakest sign without upgrades

From Soft troons will sneed and deny it because they’re still salty over Bloodbored being ignored, but it’s all true. Still the best RPG to date and has completely ruined the genre for me because nothing else is even close to being as good. What I’d give to re-experience this game for the first time again.

Kek this game's combat is trash. I'd rather it be a walking simulator because they put no thought into the combat at all.
I dislike modern RPGs where you can't kill all NPCs, even the story relevant ones. I don't care if it breaks your immersion if Geralt were able to kill the overlevelled and infinitely respawning guards If you played for immersion, you simply wouldn't attack them and land yourself in that kinda situation. I want to be able to express my player freedom and irrevocably frick up my safe file by killing the main quest relevant NPCs. I want to have the freedom to live out the consequences of my own actions in an RPG, and The Witcher 3 doesn't do this for me. Still a good game tho, even if it ain't my cup of tea.

Everything about the game ranges from great to decent, but the UI is just one of those generic modern UI that leave a bad taste.
