I don't know why you'd expect the first trailer to reveal every little new thing about the game but none of those areas shown were from the first game. It was just a brief glimpse but we do see new enemies, spells, characters, etc. The finer details about new mechanics come in time.

People need to wake up that the era where you get games from the same developers within a 2-3 year timeframe is mostly over and it would only happen if the game in question is small scaled, dlc, remakes, etc. Hell even Spiderman 2 took as long as TOTK despite mostly using the same assets as its predecessor(s). Game development has gone atrociously lengthy where Sony had to come out to say "expect 1-2 major games pee year from now" and is why their damage control tactic against this is to request full blown remakes of PS4 titles from work-for-hire game developers so their main guys can work on their own stuff.
Sony already released their Ratchet and Clank, God of War and Horizon. Now we're not getting sequels until PS6?

Developers and companies as a whole have moved the frick on from console wars because they see how profitable it is to put their games on everything and not swear loyalty to one of the "big 3". So they can't secure many exclusive deals now, not that they used to bother to do that much to begin with. This was only a thing for them in the ps1/ps2 era. After ps3 it just wasn't a thing, I dunno why people pretend like Sony was the SUPER EXCLUSIVE company based on the ps1/ps2 library. They never even bothered to secure mascots from those times even when they had the chance to do so. Crash could've been theirs but they never invested in it. Even god of war is on PC now.
