dude chill out. The best Pokémon spinoff came out on switch only two years ago
weak bait
Wrong file. You meant Pokemon Snap.
remember, they killed pokemon duelkino for masteraids
my pokemon ranch is what pokemon home should have been
imagine a ranch where you can hold and play with all your pokemon. It would be absolute kino. That's actually how I used to use my app back in the day, dump the pokemon in my pc onto my ranch so they can play and frolic.
>my pokemon ranch is what pokemon home should have been
You couldn't even move Pokemon between games. Stadium is what Home should have been.
who frickin gives a shit about moving pokemon around except gamefreaks target audience of drooling monkeys? why does gamefreak insist on pretending humans and people live mostly peacefully together and then keep depicting pokemon strictly in a relationship closer to Black folk and pitbulls?
100% agree. Should have a pokemon amie/camp/ranch sub game where I can just pet and play with my mons
Ranch is a great idle wallpaper, if Home had a similar function i'd keep it on my second monitor all the time. Even if it couldn't run all ~3000 low poly models for all the mons in my home account i'd be happy if it just displayed like a random selection of 100 mons, or let me hand pick which boxes or individual mons I wanted on display.
Pokemon Home does the job, but
>No way to interact with Pokemon
>No music
>No box themes
>No model viewer
>Clunky as frick UI
I understand they wanted to make it small because all their servers have to store probably millions of Pokemon, but I'd unironically pay for a $30 Pokemon Box style game with more features, just gate the cloud access behind the subscription but give me all other features from the start
A lot of those features wouldn't even need to be server-side, you could definitely cram a bunch of Pokemon Rumble-esque low poly models into an update and have a bunch of them running around in random procedural patterns in a wide open field.
spinoffs have been shit since gen 5
>introduce shitmons from unova and up in the games
>the game instantly become shit
thank you turner
The best spinoff has Unovamons
What's the best spinoff because its certainly not that shit
pic unrelated btw
Imagine a new TCG game where the player character matures in life across every TCG set release and can maintain a collection. An aspect of the game can involve individual cards getting either "played" and worn, or preserved instead so as to resell them in-game years later. The player could start by playing against school classmates and end up entering tournaments. It could even be compatible with online play.
More moronic than those gym leader spinoff pitches where the goal is to lose on purpose.
>those gym leader spinoff pitches where the goal is to lose on purpose
kek, ive never heard of this
No; in fact, it's a great idea.
>DS had 9 games
>Wii had 5 games
>3DS had 11 games
>Wii U has 2 games
>Switch has 6 games
relax
>he included Pokken, Unite, and Quest
The Switch has 3, Mystery Dungeon DX, New Pokemon Snap, and Detective Pikachu Returns.
>I need the Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky remakes.
>Ranger coming back would be godlike.
>Conquest was pretty fun tbh, wish each pokemon had at least two moves because needing to be 3(?) spaces away to land Thunder with Luxray for example was cancer. The post-game is so long that even a completionist like me hasn't found the energy to do it all.
>Never played Stadium/Colloseum/Battle Revolution but they look sick, animated 3D models when we only had pngs on handheld. Maybe that's why it's gone :/
>Heard Pokken is too simplistic or not fun in some way but it looks like it has lots of potential, real-time Pokemon fighting games like Type-Wild will always be sick
>Only played a demo of Rumble back in the day but it was fun for whst it was, just a beat-em-up type from what I remember
Haven't played the rest.
>Haven't played the rest.
Aside from Pokepark & Snap if you're into that sorta thing don't bother, there's a reason most of these are dead.
Pinball was good but far too short-lived. It was supposed to have had a gen 4 DS pinball game developed by the guys who made Metroid Prime Pinball, perfect for the two screens, but TPC cancelled it for no apparent reason. And it's been dead since then.
I miss Mystery Dungeon, Stadium and Colosseum. Don't care about the others.
No Conquest? I remember enjoying Ranger too, but that was a long time ago.
Pokken had a lot of potential. It needed a much bigger fighter selection and most importantly a story mode that unlocks a unique legendary that you can transfer to a mainline game
pokken is kino but
>urshifu, #1 strongest VGC mon that gets shoved down your throat like shit in all teams, is now locked behind a $60 fighting game
The fact that Mystery Dungeon was bastardized with GoI and Super makes me sad, at least Super tried but GoI was infamously bad
super just felt weird.
>the visuals don't suck but they don't really stand out in any meaningful way either, and just looks fairly flat most of the time (though gti shares this problem too)
>only non-trio starter choices are pikachu and riolu, when the oddball picks were often the more interesting mons
>extended school tutorial sequence is kinda dumb
>it's weird that there is specifically one of each pokemon that you can recruit in super, and even weirder that they can just be absent some days
>control scheme differs just enough to trip me up, i.e. pushing instead of swapping places. it's a welcome addition but i always do it on accident
>i just dont really like looplets and emeras, items have always had a place in the series and genre but all the main held items with effects being samey looplets instead of them being different items felt boring
>additionally i don't know why most wands couldn't have been made into seed effects, since they fill the same purpose (one-time action from consumable item)
that being said most of my problems just come from "it feels different and the vibes are off" so it's just subjective bs lmao
The absent days thing sucked. Sometimes you just wanted to use your favs and they just weren't there. That shouldn't have been a thing after beating the game.
RTDX sold better than Gates and Super did, which leaves me hopeful that PMD isn’t dead just yet. I don’t think a new game is coming anytime soon because they’ve been working on Shiren, but I’d be thrilled at the prospect of a new game or an Explorers remake in a year or two.
what did the RTDX remakes add? Cause I don't like the visuals as much and i feel like I'd rather just play the original sprite versions of Explorers if there was a remake, is there extra content?
I do wonder how they'd approach the number of available pokemon in a new game. Super had everyone but the total number has increased quite a bit since then.
>we still don't have Pokken 2: Tag Tournament
Fricking Harada, get on it. And no, I'm not "asking for shit", that's an order.
>Still no Pokemon musou
>Still no Pokemon character action game
>Still no Pokemon soulslike
>Still no Pokemon survival horror
Shouldn't it be WariOVER?
Also, even tho it might work, i think it's impossible for a Pokémon Survival Horror game to exist.
They'd unironically be good at it if they tried.
>Still no Pokemon RTS
>Still no Pokemon first person anything
Is there any future for this franchise's spinoffs?
PMD, Ranger and /Stadium/Colosseum/PBR are the only good ones
I do miss Pinball though
Conquest, Pokken, and Battle Revolution are the only good games here so it’s not a big loss
Hahahaha how old are you
27
they'd never make anything like this again, even though it was a huge part of my childhood
what even was this exactly? you have comfy menus and then watch fake weather reports?
It was a cute game where you got to take care of a Pikachu
I agree with others like
where Gamefreak must be insane to not cash in on a dedicated game where you can just interact and have fun with pokemon
Surprised there weren't any Pokemon racing games considering how importing riding Pokemon is in the mainline games.
take me back to the ds era where all the mainline games and spin-offs were top tier.
>still no Pokémon Rhythm game
Come on, we all enjoy pokémon music, it's ridiculously recognizable and popular, it's widely remixed in the gaming community, there are 9 whole generations of content to pick from
Ever since Final Fantasy fans got this thing years ago I've been having hope that Pokémon would do something similar
And then GameFreak made HarmoKnight with some limited Pokémon tunes and I've kept waiting
Pokémon just did collabs with Miku Hatsune and I'm still waiting
