Because it's a cool design. It's like the NES and Famicom fricked, and this is their baby. It's a good combo of both designs, while being familiar, but different, for both audiences.

Anyone know why they went with this color scheme. Only thing I could find is the yakuza boss saying he liked red, and had a red scarf. They never explained the brass though.

Agree 100%. Theres a famiclone coolbaby on aliexpress that i got a few years ago that made me really happy. They're still available i think.
