The success of HD2 made me think...
Would MGSV have been game of the decade if it had squad-based open world multiplayer? Helldivers is basically the controls and call-ins of MGSV but in space and without a moronic Kojumbo plot
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
UFOs Are A Psyop Shirt $21.68 |
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
konami would have done it if they didn't shit the bed with survive right after
Zombies and microtransactions kept us from getting tactical ops multiplayer kino
Sad!
mgs v's open world with up to 4 player co op seemed like a no brainer tbh
>hurr robot nam, bugs are smalltime for noobs
THEY ARE THREE SECTORS AWAY FROM SUPER EARTH
>b-but they're only three sectors away
THREE SECTORS WAY TOO CLOSE, EVEN FOUR IS JUST THE ILLUSION OF SAFETY
Seriously, the bots aren't even aiming for super earth yet but the bugs are making a beeline for it.
they cannot ignore the siren song of democracy, and they must be wiped out back to the farms so we can continue to use them for oil
MGSV made the critical error of not focusing majority of it's funding on shills like the absolute garbage games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Helldivers 2, Baldurs Gate 3 and Palworlds did
If you get the reddit homosexuals to hype and meme your game to braindead normies, and you pay the father figure influencers such as assmongoloid, your product will sell like hotcakes
The success of modern games is entirely dependant upon the artificial concensus which shills create. The same morons praising these games are the ones who believe Houdini had magical powers to make elephants vanish.
Those games you mentioned are fun tho
(except BG2 which sucks ass)
Fun game is usually popular
BG2 definitely was shilled and botted out the ass thanks to chinese interest in promoting it
This
Helldivers 1 was better and it never had a fraction of this hype
is it contrarian time already?
i honestly think a big part of helldivers 2 being so popular is because gaming as a whole has become dogshit and there are few games worth playing of course people would love a decent and simple game these days and i say this as someone who played the frick out of the first hell divers
>t.
Are we sure that he isn't the "REVENGE" guy?
>insufferable
At least he's committed to the bit.
>normies
MGSurvive tapped into this genre and it was fun. Too bad Ganker had a raging Kojimaboner and refused to even look at it and Konami gave up with such a hated release.
Considering other things I've heard about him at Konami, I wouldn't be surprised if Survive was his idea in the first place.
>MGSurvive tapped into this genre and it was fun.
post a clip of your gameplay from launch video right now. anywhere from feb 2018 to feb 2019 would be acceptable actually.
you won't though coz no one fricking played that game.
NTA, but no one's autistic enough to keep random recorded gameplay videos from 6 years ago.
I had fun. 57 hours according to Steam. Survival mechanics were pointless after few hours, when you had plenty of milk that it kept spoiling.
I'd rate it 6 or 7/10. I would rather play it than a lot of other games, that were rated much higher, like FO4.
Tower defense mode had too few maps.
>noooooo a game cant just be good it must be artificial popularity!
moronation
paltrannies cannot comprehend it
You are not immune to marketing.
>See a game that looks good
>Buy it and play it
>Have fun
Damn that's some good ass marketing right there.
That is how marketing works, yes. Games being good and widely marketed aren't mutually exclusive. And there are many better games that have sold less.
>show a product so it looks good
>consumer buys it
yeah that's the core function of advertising
>product looks good
>get product
>its good
crazy
>just realized most of the ship upgrades not only don't work but actively nerf your stratagems
>orbital 1 second faster deploy actually ADDS a second to orbital attacks
>rapid launch system merely halfs the deployment of mines instead of being a 100% reduction, it has no effect on the shield deployment
jesus frick this game is literal early access
40$ +tips
shill company for Shitdivers just insanely moronic
And its still ||fun!||
Here's what mgsv would have been if it had a normal director
>play as big boss in the 80s in afghanistan
>get deployed into afghanistan and left for at least one long chapter of missions at a time, no instant helicopter back to base
>basic survival gameplay, hunt animals and camp to cook them to restore stamina, basically just MGS3 but expanded and lengthened to fit day/night cycle
>meanwhile building your base back in africa or wherever, starting by placing tents and then expanding
>build dorms for your soldiers, a rifle range, garage for vehicles etc.
>later capture helicopters and build an airport, tanks and a tank/artillery range
>also amenities for your soldiers - mess hall, bar, gym, etc.
>grow and expand your base, which becomes outer heaven
>fight off soviet attacks
>ending reveals CIA was backing you via miller to oppose the soviets (history will be rewritten to make this the work of afghani resistance / taliban / whoever)
>but also splinter CIA faction in country is working with soviets to install nukes or something who cares
>defeat evil CIA man and expel miller
>final chapter / epilogue you play as rookie solid snake infiltrating your own base and defeating big boss in last boss fight
Here's what mgsv was because it was directed by a diva with a god complex
>meta
>moronic
>shit
