one trait gives me +1 additional attributes but -5 skill points per level, the other trait gives +5 skill points per level but I only get a perk every four levels.
Gifted gifting an extra special point is broken and thus it is used in every serious Fallout 1 build.
there's other good traits too, don't sleep on them. you could make a shitty character in every regard (max-min your stats) and still pull through with tacticful decisions in-game

I like them all but that is my honest opinion. Fallout 1's timer system is really awful and the movement, combat, etc really show their age. Fallout 2 has some of the same issues but they are not as prominent and I personally like Fallout 2's less serious tone more.

I really don't like fallout 4, it ruins everything that the previous games established, I kinda like fallout 3 it's a fun amusement park ride but the thing that made fallout 3 special wasn't in fallout 4. also fallout 1 gets above fallout 2 because it's humor is a bit more well executed in the first entry. but people pretending it's a bad game cause of the reddit humor is cringe it still has it's moments and is worthy of being a sequel. I like Fallout 4 a lot tbh. It does have too much of crafting but the exploration was great. Far Harbor is also one of the best DLCs, it's a shame they didn't do the writing in the rest of the game like they did in Far Harbor

10% is NOTHING. I played the game on Hard recently and I never felt like I was underleveled for anything. Yeah perks and skills are important, but there are so many enemies and places to explore in just the first half of the map.

That's an upside imo. Breaking the NV economy is dead easy and every DLC has at least one piece of loot that will let you bust the Wasteland over your knee. Delaying the power curve a little just keeps things interesting for longer.

Just unlock locations on the map and talk to people. You've got fast travel so you can always come back later and poke around.
Just keep following the main road, the game tries pretty hard to get you to see all the cool side quests in it.

Cait is also propably the best Companion gameplaywise next to Dogmeat. She is the least picky and Allows you to nicely Metagame with Drugs from Diamond city Blues.
It's funny that Tenpenny Tower was so maligned for the twist that the ghouls WILL actually kill everyone inside, but it's one of the only morally grey quests in the entire game. In retrospect, there's nothing wrong with the ghouls murdering them all. Why shouldn't they, after all?
I only remember Butch. There are a few names that I remember, but I don't remember anything about their actual character. The companions in Fallout 4 are mostly memorable, but I have very negative opinions associated with half of them.
I remember Fawkes mostly because how insanely broken he Was with Broken(heh) Steel. Like you actively had to try to get him killed. Then Again i tend to play quite cautiously.
Fawkes can single handedly carry you in the late game, in the last mission where the BoS goes to war with the Enclave to take over the purification plant. You can get away without doing anything just walking forward & Fawkes will kill everything.
Some people say Paladin Cross with the tbi-51 armor and that legendary gatling laser from the death claw cave can mog Fawkes but meh one has to really go out of their way to get those things. The companions in FO3 have almost zero personality anyway which is kinda cringe or kino depending how you see it.
FO1 was the same way anyway. Katja is a punk hoe that hates dogs, Ian is a caravan mercenary edgy metal guy, Tycho is some desert ranger sniper. Thats it. Nothing more to them.
Charon also rapes anything and everything with just his combat shotgun. To be honest, I can't remember any other companions. Butch?

No DLC, hell I remember the infamous 2011 PSN outage happened when either DM or HH released which fricked me over since I had to do a fresh reinstall because something got fricked in the load order for the DLCs and the attack happened right as I needed to redownload it.
