Having third stage and special evolutions catchable in the wild is the single WORST thing to ever happen to Pokémon. It fundamentally ruins the game for me.
>but steelix is gen 4
Literally 1 rare exception in that game. That's how it was pre gen 8. It wasn't the fricking standard
>but it makes the world more diverse and immersive
There's over 1000 pokemon, it's not like there's a shortage to fill the world with. And go play Pokémon snap or Legends if you want a "realistic" world. This is a fricking rpg video game. There should be a sense of progression
>but it speeds up the pokedex
Leveling up has never been easier, especially post game when you'll be doing it. Item evolutions literally just require a few clicks, not complicated. Friendship, you're missing the fricking point. For trade evos, it's fricking 2024, you can find someone online. Plus, the more complicated evos make the Pokémon feel cooler and more special, like a rare prize you earned, not like a generic raticate shitmon.
And another important point, needing to earn the evolutions gives the pre evolutions actual purpose. What's the point of using evee, or Snorunt, or Tadbulb, when you can just catch there evo in the wild? There fricking is none. Needing to evolve then gives them purpose and grows bond.
Bottom line, Gen 10 should have ZERO 3rd stage and special evolutions in the wild. MAYBE post game, but that's it.
>The worst thing to happen to Pokémon
But enough about shitmurott
Why do you feel the need to push your shitty "Samurott bad for no reason lol" agenda in every unrelated fricking thread?
autism, just ignore it
Literally rent free
Brother you are quickly approaching schizo levels with these posts. Keep up the good work champ.
I like that I can catch the trade evolutions so I don’t need to find anyone to trade with because I have no one to trade with
You're literally posting on /vp/. Just go to the Wi-Fi thread.
This. Online makes it easy. And wifi general literally always helps me for free. I've been getting easy help to evolve my mons from kind random strangers ever since I entered pokémon forums in like 2007. This community always helps with that stuff.
This. Trade evolutions were a mistake that they doubled down on with item trade evolutions.
A better solution is just making them regular item evolutions, rather than this soulless practice of putting them in the wild
True. PLA had the solution too, all they had to do was port it to SV…
>3rd stage evolutions in the wild
Dpt and HGSS you can catch Steelix in various caves.
Dpt you can catch Gengar in old chateu.
Black and White, you can even catch pseudos like Tyranitar and Metagross in the wild.
>special evolutions in the wild
Black and White, you can catch Crobat (friendship evolution) right outside of the Giant Chasm.
>fossil Pokemon in the wild
Black and White, in the Dream World and infinte fossiles in under ground in gen 4.
>starters in the wild
You can catch eevee in trophy garden in gen 4
This has been addressed
Also most of these are post game and eevee is not a starter (or at least wasn't in gen 4
I agree, i feel like I value the Pokemon I have way more in the older games. I dont use online features either. Probably a combination of them being easy to find and the experience share and candies making it a breeze to level em up however high i need
>needing to earn the evolutions gives the pre evolutions actual purpose.
Since when is leveling up Pokemons something noteworthy?
>I dont use online features either.
That's why you don't value them, you don't hop into the online and thus you don't know which ones are good since you can beat the singleplayer of Pokemon with a fricking Cosmog.
It's not about leveling up, but about actually having to use it up until a certain point
>I’m not forced to catch a Froslass
It shouldn't be an option at all. It cheapens the whole experience
It should be an option. It doesn’t cheapen anything unless you make it that way.
>you don't hop into the online and thus you don't know which ones are good
what i mean is that is that in the newer games i don't do a bunch of wonder trades or GTS mons, i only really have Pokemon that I caught, but they still feel less important than mons I have in older games because they take no effort in obtaining.
>Having third stage and special evolutions catchable in the wild is the single WORST thing to ever happen to Pokémon.
It’s a genuine improvement and there are much worse changes/additions.
>And go play Pokémon snap or Legends if you want a "realistic" world.
No the way it is now is better. If you don’t like it go play one of the older games.
>For trade evos, it's fricking 2024, you can find someone online
I’d rather be able to get my own Pokémon than rely on someone else. Simply connecting online is no more rewarding than finding them online as there’s equally little effort. You could argue actually catching them takes more effort as they have lower catch rates (generally).
>What's the point of using evee, or Snorunt, or Tadbulb, when you can just catch there evo in the wild?
So that I can bond with it? When you fight
and train to evolve it you still are bonding. I’m not forced to catch a Froslass just because it’s an option.
same thing with baby Pokemon being available in the wild
was supposed to be a unique way of obtaining a Pokemon but now they're just like every other wild Pokemon so what's the point in them
The opposite is true.
Baby Pokémon are great because it allows powerful Pokémon like snorlax or magmar lines to be available early game.
They SHOULD be in the wild
>worst thing to happen to pokemon is being able to catch pokemon
this is your brain on dexcut
>That tree
>Those walls
Kek
The FRICK is a brick wall supposed to look like?
Seems like autism to me, to be honest. Most of those fully evolved beasts are limited to the postgame anyway, right?
So glad they will keep putting third stage evolutons in the wild so gays like OP will seethe eternally.
>For trade evos, it's fricking 2024, you can find someone online.
They made online a paid feature in the Switch titles thoughever. Not to mention that servers will be down at some point in the future anyways.
