There is not a single game series left that I still like or look forward to it's new entries.
All game series I used to love are either
>dead
>became complete dogshit
>dumbed down to appeal to everyone
I almost exclusively play /vr/ stuff these days, anything else is too depressing.
What about you anons?
I just replay old stuff I like. Nothing to look forward to anymore.
>Dragons Dogma 2
>Monster Hunter 6
>Baldurs Gate 3
Only games I'm looking forward to, the rest are complete and utter shit. I also primarily play older games, but the above are the only upcoming games that are worth my time.
>Monster Hunter 6
I gave up on Monster Hunter, they always add stuff that ruins it for me since the last 3 entries.
>Baldurs Gate 3
Didn't play it but I heard its a complete mess, buggy af and not fun.
Early Access is a huge red flag for me, makes me wonder if that will ever be finished.
>be me, with a top tier monster PC
>went through my whole backlog, emulators and obscure gems included
>burned out on indies, there's still some i'm looking forward to, but they've all been delayed indefinitely for years
>new games just don't strike a cord with me
>been wanting to downloads the latest Dragon Quest, but i've burned myself so much with CRPG that JRPG look anemic to me now
Must suck only playing AAA shit
>indie games be like
Frick off homosexual.
Sorry bro, I'm busy having fun with all these new game releases
refer to
Series I love where the most recent entry is great in my eyes:
>Kirby
>Monster Hunter
>Samurai Shodown
>DMC
>Ghosts n Goblins
I also really liked Stranger of Paradise without being a Final Fantasy fan at all and look forward to a decent chunk of games like Evil West, Bayo 3, SF6, and Dragon's Dogma 2. There will also almost always be some obscure indie game that you'll love if you're willing to dig to find it.
Man I’m a wagie I just want more time to play games, the pressure of the clock is getting to me both for age and the amount of time I have to be “young” (sub 30) and play games
I am not gonna handle being old well
Welcome to the clup
>2 decades since last Mega Man Legends game
>2 decades since last (proper) Parasite Eve game
>almost 2 decades since last Onimusha game
>add many more franchises here japan has decided to kill off for no reason
>west doesn't do fun games like Team Buddies, Tiny Tank or Overboard anymore
>everything is open world loot GaaS garbage
On the bright side though: japan still does some cool games. It's just few and far between. You're not supposed consume like a fat moron anyway.
>Japan saves vidya
>most of the games on that list are pozzed by American/Chinese censorship
how are they pozzed though? maybe GT7 but that shit was always a mirror of the american culture anyway.
they still do top tier gameplay that will entertain you for years and years to come. people still discover new shit in Arise and NEO without those games getting any additional content
>webm
i wanna play this but isnt the pc port shit>?
yup, it runs like shit. i pirated that thing first to see if it's any good. it was but it also ran so shitty on PC i just bought the PS4 version instead
>You're not supposed consume like a fat moron anyway.
I don't.
Like I said I mostly play /vr/ stuff, as for new games I maybe play 1-2 games per year at most.
But the last 2 years I didn't play any new game I think.
well, what's the problem then? you sound like you're good to go
>But the last 2 years I didn't play any new game I think
it's the pandemic. so much shit got either cancelled or has it's development get hampered significantly. give it a few more months. this year's line-up doesn't look all too bad either
Noita, Isaac, Slay the Spire and Super Auto Pets will always be there for me when I have nothing else to play
Currently i'm enjoying Project Wingman, pretty awesome game considering it was mostly made by one guy.
Ace Combat 8 soon, I hope.
I don't have shit taste or followed shit developers who lost their ability back in the early 2000s so I'm good.
That’s oddly specific.
Just rediscover games made before 2015. There's a shitload of good shit out there.
Was surprised how much I enjoyed this one on PS4. Usually not one for open worlds but the pace was pretty consistent in the main path and I enjoyed running Strength + Magic enough to do side quests just for more combat. The final boss was a real b***h though. Still haven't gone back to the original DLC it came with but if I like it I might pick up the new DLC they put out.
Have ps3. Play scrimblo bimblo, old god of war, infamous, metal gear solid 1-4 etc from ps1 up to ps3 generations
I play vampire Survivors. At least it's honest about the dopamine hit video games provide.
It's nobody's fault that your taste in Vidya is absolutely dogshit. Frick off with your shitty blog post you c**t
>he plays modern crap
>tells others they have shit taste
lol
lmao even
have you seen modern games? 95% in the market is absolute garbage, the west doesn't know what games are, japan bents it's knee to the west and indie devs are goose chasing old concepts they have no chance in replicating properly. vidya these days suck ass
