Recently re-installed this game after some RTS youtubers picked it back up again. Forgot how fun the game was but it still suffers from feeling a bit same-ey on repeat playthroughs. Anyone else playing this rn?
Love the soundtrack, forgot what a banger the final wave buildup and theme were

I'm stuck on last map 800% (on my first run), and not willing to try it on lower difficulty. Every few months give it a few more tries, no luck so far, usually bleed on micro, and not strategy.
the campaign sucks dogshit, how can you be bothered

>usually bleed on micro
Does 800% disables pause button?
it's too shallow for a 2nd playthrough. Explore map -> restart -> grab resources now that you know where they are -> turtle -> move out and win, rinse and repeat forever
does it have proper hotkeys yet
I stopped playing after finishing the campaign
I just watch Kensei on youtube instead for TAB
Necromancers don't want you to know this, but zombie swarms of any size are hard countered by ol' reliable: The star fortress
>game is horribly slow
>no save states (de facto ironman) because hardcore game git gud lmao
>building defense takes ages from the start compared to any other rts and one enemy leaking is effectively a game over, meaning that i have to rely on my starting five units for far longer than reasonable
>slog through hours of resets to get to the final wave on 100%
>die to mass amounts of harpies and spitters which i have never seen before and therefore not accounted for in my defense
>delete the game
Are any of the knockoffs better?
>He didn't follow the principles of building a star fort

The demo was pretty cool.
This one is still way too early access to tell if it's any good. Gameplay is very basic yet.
Age of darkness naturally encourages "districts" with its map gen and losing a building doesn't spawn more enemies, just fricking throttles your economy lmao.
Game is fun once you get set up, but the first 15-20 minutes of any map are tedious and boring, plus you can insta lose to one shambler or exec.

How is it being brainwashed sheep nowadays?
>Play a game for a couple days after being reminded it exists
>Anons will believe you're brainwashed
>get to oil tier
>big stompy mech is overpriced, Lucifer is niche, mutant is actual garbage, only the Thanatos is good
Any developer who can make a guy with a flamethrower bad in a zombie game is no friend of mine.
I mostly play Survival Mode and it doesn't feel all that same-ey to me. The randomness of the maps helps with that. A shitty starting map makes a nice challenge and a strong starter is good for trying for a high score. Plus the maps have different attributes.
