They don't make champions as effortlessly cool as the ones from Gens 1-4 anymore. I still appreciate Alder cuz it was necessary to make him take the L to hype up N, even if it made him "lamer" as a result, but from Iris onward, there really is no excuse.

I beat sapphire and emerald back in the day, and emerald again recently and I didn't even know who the homosexual on the right is until i read the posts. Could be some gen 4 homosexual, gen 3 and up is so forgettable. Lance is the GOAT.
Different champions having different feels is great, I'm a fan of Iris and her cheerful tone, it was a nice ending to the game. I wouldn't call N cool in the same way either, but his fight mechanically and narratively were awesome in their own right. Plus he had the best theme tied with Steven
