More traditional, 4 guys in a roll is just standard JRPG fare, but since that would be more than half of the party just 3 is fine, plus positioning is cool.
Its BETTER version of singles.
Rotating Pokémon is a free action, meaning both players may rotate and attack in the same turn. Battles are more dynamic and allow for a lot more strategy
That's exactly why it's shit. There's no cost to switching out, and you keep all of your stat changes when moving your lead. It makes setup all that more powerful and braindead.
No you fricking moronic butthole. They dropped because they can make their fricking game work right. The Gen 6 games were functional but still poorly coded, depending of the model in the field the games would slow down massively trying to render it, put 6 Moltres in a triple battle and see what happens.
>incineroar used fake out! >Landorus used fake our! >Gyarados used dragon dance! >incineroar used parting shot and switches out for water urshifu! >Landorus used u-turn and switches in for amoongus!
Making status changes temporary could also help, I know they already wear out when switching out but making them only last a certain amount of turns be more fair.
>they should bring triple battles back
I am the only person on this board who has made actual triple battle threads asking people to queue up in ORAS in the past 2 1/2 years at least. They do not have enough popularity to warrant bringing back.
>Kalos revisiting any time soon
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
just play Masters
Should've become the default format for both single-player and competitive.
What's the case for this over rotation?

Rotation is just a worse version of singles.

The dropped it and kept it dropped because it was bad
none they both suck ass

>They dropped because they can make their fricking game work right
They can't make their fricking games work right. Frick I'm too tired to post.
>KANTOOOOO
vs
>KALOOOOOS
They'll have to for the BW remakes, right?
R-right?
>Trainer mac sends out incineroar, gyarados and landorus-T!
>Landorus intimidate!
>Gyarados intimidate!
>Incineroar intimidate!
>implying it's not just 3 Landorus-T's
>running all special attackers
Intimidate deez nuts
Just use Milotic in the center.
How does doubles deal with this?
Use Pokemon that don’t care about getting intimidated like Flutter Mane or Urshifu or Kinggambit
it doesn't doubles are a meme
>incineroar used fake out!
>Landorus used fake our!
>Gyarados used dragon dance!
>incineroar used parting shot and switches out for water urshifu!
>Landorus used u-turn and switches in for amoongus!
Just nerf intimidate so it doesn't stack

Holy stall meta
I miss offensive meta. Frick fairies.

> I tried to play them but they shouldn't bring them back
Imagine cucking to popularity this hard
I loved engaging with the facilities in triple battles with my ingame teams. Felt like a culmination of those team members all working together
>Calyrex used Astral Barrage!
>Terapagos used Tera Starstorm!
>Kyogre used Water Spout!
Yes, and it will be back in DLC 2 alongside the performance update for switch 2 and Kalos Sud
>Kalos revisiting any time soon
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>She doesn't know
embarassing
Too fricking gimmicky + the framerate would tank
I want an Orre game with triple battles
new pokemon have too many polygons the switch can't handle it
Dual is perfect. Triple and Rotation battles are just painful
did anyone even fricking play this shit?
never saw it taken seriously during gen 6
The switch already struggles to not explode in doubles
