Is the dead one on top of Robbie's old lab the only sign of them in the game?

      I think so
Obviously the towers work on shiekah tech but I never saw a guardian in my 150 hours besides that one

There's also a drawing of the smaller ones in Robbie's room. In addition to pictures of Vah Medoh and Vah Rudania

Yes, but you know the only reason it’s there id because they couldn’t be arsed to do any remodeling

It's from the first game. They just didn't remodel the tech lab in Hateno. So technically there's zero in the game.

The Yiga should have stolen them and merged them with Zonai parts.

The "TerrorGuardian" lines would be used for NPC reactions to Guardians.

I mean you don't even need to know the ending. Aren't they according to the intro supposed to be buried and unearthed every like 1k years because of the calamity like a recurrent prophecy?

If they went back underground there should be massive holes everywhere, not just the ones from the Upheaval

They blow up when defeated. You defeated Ganon and they went with him. I can't find a reasonable explanation why there are none of the old wrecks left.

no, Nintendo writers are just hacks as usual

No reason was given. The devs really want you to forget about BotW so the events of that game aren’t brought up unless absolutely necessary and even the not as much as you’d think. Here’s an example: the only reference to Calamity Ganon is one line by Impa that almost no one will see that lampshades a connection between the Calamity and Ganondorf

What got me was that shiekah tower in the gerudo region that was in the huge hole which became an entrance to the depths in this game. Where did they go??? Kind of lame they didn't wanna expand upon how the ancient shiekah used the depths as well so they could keep it entierly zonai/yiga themed (besides goron temple)

Wait, they seriously never bring up a reason why they are gone entirely? I kinda thought I had missed a line of dialogue or haven't read a journal entry somewhere that'd explain it.
    c'mon, nintendo!

Do you mongoloids really not understand that if there was a ton of advanced broken down tech laying around that the government would salvage them for parts? Imagine if one day a bunch of alien ships just crashed near your house. Do you think any of those ships would still be laying there in 3 years?

It's the Sheikah's tech and they've pretty much all forsaken advanced technology except for the few scientists because it caused problems in the past. They went around either destroying it or Purah repurposed it.

    >the only things visibly made out of it were an endless supply of arrowheads, the skyview tower(s), and the Purah Pad
did the gorons discover that sheikah magic metal was a delicacy or something? where the frick did it all go???

    >explicitly state that Guardians and all related tech is hidden underground until a Calamity is near, which triggers them to emerge
    >introduce massive underground area in TotK
    >no inactive Shiekah tech like towers or the mechanisms that push them up anywhere
    >no Guardians anywhere
    >not even those massive Guardian hive pillars that surrounded Hyrule castle
Are they genuinely moronic? The Depths are so fricking empty, what stopped them from dumping that shit in there? It would've made perfect sense.

    >Link can kick chests open
    >pressing Y while unarmed next to a device doesn't let you kick it on
It's weird because they even added the unarmed charge attack. At that point why not let you attack normally too. Have it deal 1 damage or something if they're concerned people would play the whole game while ignoring the durability system.
At the very start of the game I was kinda hoping the broken master sword would stay as is and be a permanent 1 damage weapon only limited by the durability of what you fuse into it.

Someone break down the timeline for me please. From what I gathered… ToTK takes place AFTER the events in BoTW, right? Zelda goes back in time about 10000 years and Link is out cold for how long? And why does no recognize him?

      Anonymous

A year or so after yeah, long enough for rebuilding to begin but not much else to happen. Link's out for a short period of time, days to weeks at most. Most people do recognise him, other than the ones than don't as a joke.

The main portion game after Link wakes up takes place at least 5+ years after BotW considering the ages of Hudson's kid, and Riju and Tulin.
Before that Link was out cold after the upheaval long enough for disguised Ganon to go around doing all the fake-Zelda shit (the great fairy questline makes it sound like it has been a long time since they hid themselves and the band broke up), and for the Zonai survey team to be established and build bases across Hyrule, but not long enough for them discover anything useful on their own yet.

I treat this game as filler episode. I was realy disapointed it wasnt a continuation of botw. Why did we need zonai? We didnt need another acient civilization... No to mention meeting people I already met...
