anon, they've planned to do another suspect test since the last time. they've already set to do it after next dlc.a lot of currently banned pokemon are really only there directly because of how powerful they are with teras or they were pushed over the edge because of teras. it's a cool gimmick and far more strategic than some of the previous ones, so I don't suspect they'll outright ban it but probably limit it to 1 pokemon per team or showing tera types at team preview.
There aren't that many mons which got banned from OU because of tera. There's like Annihilape, Espathra, Volcarona and Baxcalibur maybe?
Rape ape was more rage fist than anything
None of those Pokémon got banned 100% of tera, it was always because the Pokémon had some kind of gimmick that got even stronger with tera.
For Rape Ape's case, taraing into a good defensive type like water or fairy with bulk up + drain punch made you fricking unkillable, and you still had the incredibly good stab combo of ghost + fighting that was resisted by like 3 Pokémon in the entire game.
Now, without tera, taking hits to boost up rage fist is a lot more difficult since Annihilape is weak to 4 pretty common types, and only has 3 resistances. Rage Fist would still make it strong, but without tera it's a lot easier to play around
Besides, real chads used it with a Final Gambit / Choice Scarf set
Keeping old stabs after tera is so stupid. So much bullshit wouldn't exist if you actually had to deal with the consequences of changing your type on a whim.
Yeah, I think no one would have a problem with tera if it changed your stab (but you'd still keep the damage bonus if you tera into your own type)
Fricking everyone thought offensive tera would be the most broken shit at first, but it turns out it's only worth doing on very few Pokémon while changing your sweeper's type to water/fairy/steel can just frick over your opponent for free
It'd be cool seeing more unorthodox movesets based on new stabs, as it is now all you really see is acrobatics, which didn't need tera to show up everywhere

Again, bulky tera is what pushed it over the edge, it lets you tank hits quite easily while keeping your broken stab combo. It's a pretty easy Pokémon to revenge kill otherwise

Gliscor is not stall at all, you can run it on pretty much anything safe hyper-offense
