>using something built into the game is cheating
The game is literally designed and balanced around summons. If you aren't using them then you are by definition doing a challenge run with a self-imposed rule set, and you don't get to complain about the difficulty or balance.
>b-b-but summons make the game way too easy!
Yes. That's what From intended. That's why the design is shit and everyone complained about it except redditors who love to summon le heckin quirky ragtag band of rebels.
You can kill them by pure skill, it will just take an hour looking for an opening as these 2 gays rush your ass, you can do this faster with parry but it will still be needlessly long. The moment I realised that this is just a long fricking slog I summoned the golden sign next to them. There is no difficulty or good challenge in this fight just tedium which is a fricking shame since everything else about them is good and they are supposed to be modelled after you know who.
This was before patch where they are supposedly toned town not to rush your butthole 24/7.
>did first playthrough blind without using summons or spirit ashes >beat them on the first attempt
HOWEVER
I was powerstancing Morgott's and Bloodhound's.
2nd try with the clone and spamming storm blade
Don't be such a martyr, if you are using anything more than an unupgraded dagger you cheesed the game and didn' really best it get over yourself and just use the tools available.
Sekiro is the only game that does that all souls games are full of cheese techniques or gimmick solutions and bloodborne is just "be aggressive as possible"
>boss gets nerfed >suddenly everyone thinks they are super good at elden ring and this boss is easy, why did people complain pre-nerf
you didnt beat elden ring
Godskin duo is literally just a damage check
Rush one of them down, and kill it over and over they're way squishier than normal godskins
Now the double Gargoyle fight, THAT was pure bullshit
The poison/rot that took chunks of your health before it even poisoned you was the worst mechanic they could possibly come up with >hey you know how we've been doing poison hurts you when it fills up, well now it doesn't need to fill up, but it will still fill up aswell, also good fricking luck knowing where the hitbox is
>Now the double Gargoyle fight, THAT was pure bullshit
Fighting those guys at a lower level took more attempts than Radgaon, Godfrey, and Maliketh.
The poison fog pisses me off the most til this day.
yes the bosses are moronic we mostly agreed on this already. the git gud crowd lost this one, margit alone is mechanically harder than most souls bosses. its moronic.
I swear this is some stupid fricking YouTube or Twitch or Reddit meme. I pirated the game on release, played through it several times, never had so much trouble with this fight. Malenia beat my ass, I heard Mohg's homolust monologue so many times it's burned into my head, I've had nightmares about running at and never reaching the Elden Beast, but these guys? No. For frick's sake, you get more cover in this fight than you got with O&S in DaS1, not to mention so many manoeuvrability options and stuns it's not even funny. How are people struggling with this shit?
I honestly beat them on the 1st of 2nd attempt, at the time of playing I didn't even know they were meant to be hard, I literally forgot the boss fight existed until I came onto Ganker
Elden Ring is a shit game where most of the boss fights are trivial because you just can go someone else first
>rollspam zoomer shitters post this webm thinking it makes DS1 look bad when it literally does the exact opposite by showing the last time From made a game with actual build variety

Roll guy that R1s with an axe
Roll guy that R1s with a halved
Roll guy that R1s with a spear
Roll guy that R1s with a splashing instrument

It absolutely is.
Shield and tanking is less viable than in Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls 2 was just rapier/spear spam and casters. It also had the awful stagger mechanicsm where the enemy recovered just as fast as the player, and the parry that took forever for a riposte making parry against groups horrible

There's nothing really to argue against - you'll just spam the "Elden Ring builds are all rolling R1s" no matter the evidence presented. Build variety is great in this game, precisely why I have 600+ hours in it.

you clearly haven't played the game. Hell, even the choice to run a shield or not makes the gameplay completely different, not to mention the wildly different movesets of halberds, colossal swords, straight swords, etc.

As opposed to what?
>rolling to avoid 9/10 attacks is such a different playstyle to rolling to avoid 10/10 attacks
A tank build in DS1 is not sustainable simply due to you running out of estus in the middle of the level if you don't block. It hardly can even be called a "build", it's just a regular R1-spamming quality build with heavy armor.
I always hear people moaning about the Godskin Duo and Radahn but I just don't get it. Beat both of these fights on my first try with very little effort. But I got absolutely filtered by Radagon/Elden Beast to the point I put the game down and never actually finished it.
They arent too hard, they are just one of the laziest, shittiest examples of multi-boss design in the series. They don't contrast or compliment each other in the flow of the fight and there are no unique strategies to use on them, the fact that they just respawn until you empty their collective health bar, EVEN IF you kill both at once, is insanely lazy. They are just two different bosses slapped into a room together.
The best multibosses in the series are Ornstein and Smough, and the Shadows of Yarnham. They actually feel like intelligently designed boss fights where they each unit makes up part of a whole, and the fight changes depending on your strategy in how you dispatch each unit.
Ganker fundamentally misunderstands these kind of bossfights. They're not in the game to force you to use "cheats" like magic, summons, spirit ashes, ashes of war, consumables and so on - they're there to give people who constantly use all those things a challenge. Skilled players can take on them 1v2, regular players summon help like they have been doing in Souls games for a decade. Only here people have neither skill nor friends, so this becomes a problem >b-but I didn't need a summon for O&S
Yeah, O&S was a braindead fight and yet most people needed not one but two phantoms to clear it. Your souls veteran card means nothing past Dark Souls 1, spend some time learning the fight like you did back in 2011 if you think you're above playing normally now.
I don't know if it's weird glitch, but the godskin just randomly stopped rolling and did a quick instantaneous poke out of nowhere while I was standing on the pillar.
They're not, but the fight is kind of bullshit. Duo fights are just not very good in Fromsoft games, and never have been.
O & S are the closest to a good duo boss fight, and even then it's obnoxious. >inb4 seethe harder, git gud etc

>Crucible Knight Duo >Godskin Duo >Valiant Gargoyles

Yes. That's what From intended. That's why the design is shit and everyone complained about it except redditors who love to summon le heckin quirky ragtag band of rebels.

i didn't
The post was obviously aimed at OP, moron.
Don't give me (you), you stupid homosexual.
I don't need to git gud, I am good and I want the game to let me be myself
I literally bonked them my way through with a STR build in patch 1.03 (pre-speeebuff to big weapons). Git gud
There's no getting good. It's a completely luck based fight.
instantly killed them with cheat engine this fight is not worth the effort lmao
Use Sleep pods my ninja
I don't want to
you're stupid, this fight has 0 thought put into it, no point in wasting your time
Then grind or do explore somewhere else and come back later. These shits aren‘t unbeatable.
I want to kill them by pure skill, with no cheesing, sleep pots, and no summons, but the game doesn't allow it.
You stupid af man. Why limit yourself if the game gives you these tools?
I think you're starting to understand now
even if you do it no one cares
being good at Soul games isn't a skill that is worth anything
just play the game with all the advantages it provides to you and maybe actually have some fun doing it
I care because it's more fun than playing like a cuck gay.
have fun then and quit b***hing on Ganker about how they're "too hard" homosexual
No lol
what weapon are you using?
I'm not playing through the game or stuck at this boss right now
sounds like you aren't having fun friend. go play the game
oh and you're definitely using a cheese weapon if that's your response. queer
I only use the sword of night and flame because it's the only weapon I know where to get that isn't in a dogshit mini dungeon
You literally can't kill them with skill though
>the game doesn’t allow it
You can kill them by pure skill, it will just take an hour looking for an opening as these 2 gays rush your ass, you can do this faster with parry but it will still be needlessly long. HOWEVER
I was powerstancing Morgott's and Bloodhound's.
Which one is the better weapon art? This is the build I am shooting for right now.
Morgott's is fricking cool, deals big damage, and staggers pretty good. Got even Malenia on her knees.
2nd try with the clone and spamming storm blade
Don't be such a martyr, if you are using anything more than an unupgraded dagger you cheesed the game and didn' really best it get over yourself and just use the tools available.
I just want to play it like a normal Souls game, learning the boss's moves and outskilling them
Sekiro is the only game that does that all souls games are full of cheese techniques or gimmick solutions and bloodborne is just "be aggressive as possible"
I didn't think any fight in the game was really hard except Mohg at the end
even with that it was super easy as soon as I changed to meme bleed katana build
but most of the game I played with the sword of night and flame and I had no problem
>boss gets nerfed
>suddenly everyone thinks they are super good at elden ring and this boss is easy, why did people complain pre-nerf
you didnt beat elden ring
They're only hard if you're playing melee only, otherwise you can just run in circles spamming literally any ranged attack and they can never hit you
>refuse to use half the tools the game gives you
>waaaaah game too hard!!!
Godskin duo is literally just a damage check
Rush one of them down, and kill it over and over they're way squishier than normal godskins
Now the double Gargoyle fight, THAT was pure bullshit
>oh hey they're both fast
>oh hey they both have huge range
>oh hey they both can breathe a poison fog that covers half of the area and deals DoT
They're also both immune to status effects like bleed and rot 🙂
You can bleed them. You guys are the biggest babies when it comes to this game
The poison/rot that took chunks of your health before it even poisoned you was the worst mechanic they could possibly come up with
>hey you know how we've been doing poison hurts you when it fills up, well now it doesn't need to fill up, but it will still fill up aswell, also good fricking luck knowing where the hitbox is
You forgot the shitty camera control while fighting them.
I got poison'd to death by that c**t from behind my back.
>Now the double Gargoyle fight, THAT was pure bullshit
Fighting those guys at a lower level took more attempts than Radgaon, Godfrey, and Maliketh.
The poison fog pisses me off the most til this day.
so jerk them off moron
Use slash damage and or bleed, you'll tear through them. Just don't use blunt
I used the Death Poker's Ash of War and they jobbed on the first try.
Cheese weapon
Cope. I won and you are here b***hing that you can't lol.
I beat this game 69 times it just pisses me off how terrible this fight is because you can't win by pure melee skill like every other fight
yes the bosses are moronic we mostly agreed on this already. the git gud crowd lost this one, margit alone is mechanically harder than most souls bosses. its moronic.
Alyska solo'd them without dying, no sleep cheese.
Git good
even the dumbest streamers beat this boss first try
you are pathetic
I swear this is some stupid fricking YouTube or Twitch or Reddit meme. I pirated the game on release, played through it several times, never had so much trouble with this fight. Elden Ring is a shit game where most of the boss fights are trivial because you just can go someone else first
I killed these in my second try. The second guy didn't seem to do much at all and what he did do I was able to ignore by hiding behind a pilar.
LOL those guys are just Smaugh and Orenstien 2.0. You should have not trouble beating them if you just keep moving and focus on one at a time.
Dark Souls 1 is not a serious game
>rollspam zoomer shitters post this webm thinking it makes DS1 look bad when it literally does the exact opposite by showing the last time From made a game with actual build variety

Dark Souls has some of the worst build variety in their games
Whatever build variety Dark Souls had Elden Ring has more https://youtu.be/5fYdOneDZ-M

Wrong. Rollspam magic damage sword is no different from rollspam physical damage sword.
