This game is genuinely good, fun and soulful. I swear it only has a bad reputation because of seething tendies and Banjogays.

Damn the Rare Replay makes me want to get an XBOX
Rare Replay is the singular reason to own an Xbox One.
But all of the games are worse on it
>Rare Replay is the singular reason to own an Xbox One.
Not touching butchered versions with art direction changes nobody asked for (pic related)
More and more games are getting decompiled and getting PC ports so we can play them with the original aesthetics intact but without the trademark N64 Rare framerate
The PC port of PD is the definitive way to play now
I have access to all the Originals to play on a CRT so no thanks
Someday on gaming toaster Switch.
Haha, no. Its great for what it is but nah no rare replay. Which sucks since ive got a ps4.
I had fun with grabbed by the ghoulies, had a few camera issues but it was fun.
I had this when it came out. I loved Rare because of CBFD and bought into all the hype this game got on G4TV and magazines.
They all soured on it…but I liked it. It’s not their best game but it’s definitely a good game, with a cool style. Rare’s unique art direction was so cool to see on Xbox.
It’s not for everyone, but this is definitely worth playing at least once.
Enormous titted bbw vampires attack you by locking you in their coffin while floating hearts would flash around it.
Blessed Rare.
There will probably be a breakthrough in Xbox emulation soon.
>There will probably be a breakthrough in Xbox emulation soon.
What makes you say that?
It’s made huge strides in the last few years.
For a long time, there was no or shitty Saturn emulation then suddenly it was perfect.
I wish the official Xbox emulator leaked, it’s bound to eventually. Their emulators are so perfect that 360 with its 512mb of ram could run OG Xbox games (to varying degrees of success, but mostly very good).
So you're talking about Xemu. Most of the games I try on there work, since Rare Replay is a One exclusive, I thought you were talking about Xbox One emulation.
Why would I talk about xbone emulation on /vr/?
I think we will get xbone level Xbox emulation on PC soon.
Because Rare Replay is only on the One.
no, ive tried to play this game at like 4 or 5 different points in my life, all with optimism "im older now and love this era of games and rare, and the concept seems great"
nope. game is reeking elephant diarrhea every single time. its hated because its awful
>QFG2 VGA
Based
did not expect someone to recognize it damn
Buy the games
It came to me in a dream.
>rare has never made a bad game
how did they do it
Ok now post all the hot cute girls that are all tied up around the mansion.
So should I actually play this or are you just memeing? I have an xbox
Play it for one sitting until you either finish it or get bored. It is pretty short and the late game isn't fun.
Starfox Adventure is a great game and I'm tired of pretending it isn't
Nobody cares about Rare past 2001. Play Battletoads instead.
It's barely an idea, A SINGLE IDEA, stretched as thin and far as they could. Walk into room, dice roll for enemies, dice roll for health, walk into them until they die, next. There's no difficulty, there's no story, there's no decision making, and it's ugly. I'm more convinced they just wanted to make the game for the name alone and didn't give a single shit as to what it played like. Easily Rare's most embarrassing game.
That’s over simplifying it. It was directional based combat using the right stick, that’s the gimmick.
Yeah and that's nothing. No one will find that fun. Not even toddlers.
I found it fun and I was 11 when it came out. It’s not the best game in the world but it’s unique and does in fact have that Rare style.
It is a game for children I might add.
>grabbed by the balls
was this really appropriate for the target audience?
Just typical garbage bong """humour"""
Rare was never good.
I enjoyed it.
You know what is actually kind of similar in retrospect? Splatterhouse 2010. Feels a bit similar with the directional attacks and using weapons here and there, to me at least.
The sequel was kind of weird. I think it was called Raped by the Reapers
