Riot gun. You'll get it in around 3-5 hours. Sell the first shotgun and stick with the Riot gun once you get it, there's another shotgun available much later in the game but it's lame, stick with the Riot gun.
I stick with the starter, it's free, cheaper to upgrade and still blows the shit out of enemies

Should I play this if I thought the village was mediocre? I gave it multiple chances a year apart. But I liked the original. My opinion on the vr version is that it's too easy, since ai doesn't compensate for real time aiming.
I don't care for Village at all but 4R is one of my favorite RE games.

Riot gun becomes available after the cabin fight with Luis now. Blacktail is still only available at the castle though.

it has a stamina system now that limits you from spamming it, and perfect dodge is not that easy to do. But yeah it's meant for use with another mod called "relentless enemies" that makes the enemies attack a lot more to balance it out
