This game is the biggest piece of crap I've ever played
I rebought it on Nintendo Switch and it's still garbage even with friends.

The Switch version removes the only good thing about the game (local co-op).
oh I thought I didn't like it because I had no one to play it with. Still, it had a good soundtrack
>da worstest gaem EVAR
Hard to believe. Maybe you've only played around 10 or so video games in your life? Just seems a bit hyperbolic. Don't bother writing up a mile-long greentext response detailing all of the "flaws" (ways you got filtered).
The menu screen alone makes it insanely bad.
I had more fun playing this alone than with other people. It's not my favorite game ever or anything, but it was a fun little diablo-like with a few nifty gimmicks and beautiful graphics/music. You're a dumb gay.
redpill me about when ffcc gets good.
as far as cutesie diabe-girlkes are concerned Shining Soul 2 blows it out of the water.
Shining Soul 2 does blow it out of the water. Those anons just don't know what they're missing.
Please recommend more games like FFCC, I love it
Blood of Bahamut (DS)
Any Phantasy Star Online
Diablo (obviously)
I love this game. I just wish they’d make a proper sequel.
Me and my friends tried it a couple of times, but we ended up going right back to playing PSO split screen.
PSOchads keep on winning
yeah same
good gimmick to sell peripherals, pity ffcc was such an ugly and uninteresting game. I'm more of a ngpc to dc cable man myself.
Wrong board
Yes
It would have been kino if it didn't require you to have multiple GBAs and multiple GBA->GC link cables just to play multiplayer.
I rented this once. It was a disappointing weekend.
I beat it single player when it came out and didn’t think much of it. Two years ago I beat it with my wife with two GBAs and links and enjoyed the enjoyable bits, but loathed the grind at the end for high level gear. Also the whole final boss sequence went on waaay too fricking long.
It's bad
absolutely loved it as a kid
I've only played it like twice with a full group of friends but most of the time just 2-player with my brother
it's one of my life goals to finish this game with someone
Reminder that now with seamless mGBA integration with Dolphin, the GC version is now a worthy competitor to the Remaster.
We hadn't learned how to be critical of things back then. FF:CC got an unfair free pass on being shit due to its name. That alone might not have been that bad until you consider that its artificial success promoted the artists who came up with its aesthetics on to trash up more games.

>Four Swords
>Better
Found the contrarians.
Four Swords is such a boring game in retrospect that the "It's better with friends" meme doesn't save it. I tried going back to it solo after having played it with a couple friends 2 decades ago and it was just dull and unironically soulless.
Aside from that one village uniquely being a dungeon in and of itself, the puzzles were brain-dead easy and the makeshift arcade style competitive nature was lackluster and ultimately pointless. It's like Nintendo took a look at Gauntlet's concept for gameplay, then stripped out what made the games in that series fun in the first place.
>I rebought it on Nintendo switch
They re-released that shit?? Why? I'm not even shitting on the game it's just such a weird choice for a remaster/port
As far as GBA-GC connectivity multiplayer games go, Four Swords blows this out of the water.
FSA is honestly such a good game even if you play it solo. It has Zelda in its title but still somehow manages to be underrated
Great game, I played it with my sister. The Switch port is botched unfortunately; it doesn’t simulate local co-op so your hometown isn’t as lively and there’s no multi-character progression
I'm right there with you OP. Was beyond perplexed as a kid, surely thr single player couldnt be THIS boring
Then i put 40 hrs into the switch multiplayer. It was fricking worse. Biggest piece of ambitious dogshit ive ever wasted my time on, everything but the gameplay is good
Never played Crystal Chronicles or even heard much about it. So it's an ARPG like Diablo? That doesn't sound so bad.
CC ost lives in my head.
unfortunate, since it doesn't sound good at all
I liked both this and Four Swords. I got kinda bored of FFCC though and never finished it. Four Swords I've beaten at least 4 times.
