It has some of the best gameplay and best writing in vidya (But I played the original one, not that remake so I don't know how much they changed though).
Meh, the same was said about Aegis rim and after finishing both of them I can say that while the story may be interesting for the most part it really drags and drags and I'm the kinda guy who cna pick up a JRPG and play to completion with over 300 hours in some but when the story is the main driver and it's convoluted and not really that deep it kinda is a huge letdown.
It did have good writing actually and I'm this guy

It was written very well and the characters interacted great with one another and the same can be said about Aegis rim also (not that this thread is about it but since I said that) it's just that the story lacks any emotional appeal it really is HEAVY Sci fi and fantasy with no real emotion behind it. I'm not really drawn into the characters motives or their desires it's kinda just...mundane.
Do you like time travel stories?
Do you like fantasy?
Do you like going back and forth and back and forth between the same story just played a little differently each time?
If you like those sure but if you don't don't bother it's not like it has a really awe inspiring ending
The 3ds version is better >voice acting >"true ending" >dungeon to grind levels and equipment
It's just a better experience than playing the DS version in my opinion.
>damn it's quite a ways from the last save point so let me just murder you real quick because you picked the wrong dialogue option
I got filtered and I'm still mad 10 years later. Little shit.

None of those games are 300+ hours...
No they aren't but he didn't ask that silly boi.
None of those games have like, 3 versions of a fake ending.
Why did I hurt your feelings? But since you are curious.
Chrono cross
Terranigma
Dragon Warrior monsters
Xenogears

What's the best then, anon?
The combat was cool and the plot was compelling. The pacing felt pretty off, though.
I think im soft locked. Im stuck on the boat and have no idea what to do
Is this game worth playing. I have a ds emulator on my phone or should I buy the remaster for my 3ds

Only 3DS version has the true-true ending

*betrays you*
>kill everyone for a random pussy
>girls dies anyway
>he just fricks her sister
This homie is creepy

This and the ending where Aht traps you in the forest forever just to protect you are the most frick up ones
It reuses the same areas and enemies way too much. It's a fine game if you discount that.
Still angry.
Huh?
After Radiata Stories 2 was canned, most of the team was moved to make Radiant Historia, a "spiritual successor."
Radiata Stories was such a massive game that really ahead of its time but RH feels like a cheap a rpg maker game made by some college project
I guess those devs are nothing without Tri-Ace
Fun villain
I've been on a massive jRPG kick lately. Is it worth it to play the vanilla game, or should I just play the remake?
Go with remake and download DLC for original portraits
