Nope, I just really hated the thread that was at the bottom of page 11 and wanted to make a new thread in order to kill the thread that was at the bottom of page 11.
>I like the idea that /tg/ has slide threads. The idea of the JIDF and glowBlack folk panicking over threads here is hilarious.
This lol
Unfortunately it's just a moronic newbie misunderstanding terms, like how zoomers think "POV" means "what's happening is the opposite of what I say is happening".
I was just reading this. It's full of anime references and art but some of the abilities look great. No idea how it actually plays in practice but I might try it out at some point.
Fatguy weebs here should love it. All their endless tropes and memes are included.
>You not too big or too small,
Tiny misses like these always slip through, needed another pass over from the editor, especially on a character creation page
It's from a beta document send out to backers for spellchecking (lol). So yeah, it has plenty of mistakes.
[...]
It has some soft-SJWisms but nothing too egregious.
THe art I thought was a draw as its in a classic Ghibli-esque anime style. Weaboos lap this stuff up and it is cutesy in an endearing way in most places in the book.
An unusual ethnic cornucopia on the character creation page for Other World Humans that is neither idealized nor relatable in a desirable manner, but instead tries to depict "what people really look like"

Seven white people and two black people, and one of the white people is a punk?

Six white people, one asian, and two black people. One white person is notably out of shape, one has pointedly androgynous features, and one is a child. Two blacks, one of whom is very stereotypically dressed, the other is extremely old.
There is a specific emphasis on nonstandard appearances in the character art page. I don't think the artist would deny that the intention of this art is to draw attention to the many alternatives to a typical TTRPG protagonist(That is to say, fit, youthful(yet adult), and white) that one could play.

This is genuinely pathetic post. You might as well say 3.5 art was all nonstandard.

Oh yeah totally unstandardized. They should’ve used pictures of weirdos in armor, some of them with pointy ears, hairy feet, and axe/beard fetishes — just like what’s standard in real life!
You are a massive homosexual but this is as close as you’ll get to having your shit pushed in, like you’ve always fantasized. Sorry chum, blame your unfulfilled anal longing on the SWJ lizard people.
The pic is from 1983, wienerslurper. Playing ‘nonstandard’ is as /tg/ as possible.

All fields
Ttrpgs are built on playing with unreal standards. Get a load of this gay. Ur the tomato, human fighterman.
Anytime someone says dnd is fine because it's "newbie friendly" I love to bring up the fact that anyone I've tried to walk through making a character with using the player's handbook has no idea what pages to flip to in order to actually fill out specific boxes when prompted. The fact that a major product from a major company didn't do the bare fricking minimum that even indie sourcebooks from the 90s did is diabolical
I'm sure I will be called "filtered" but I tried to join a game of 5E and give it a try. We were supposed to make level two characters and I wanted to make a Wizard 1/Fighter 1. I was told my build was suboptimal and then I literally could not figure out how to do it using the player's handbook. There was super vague information and the information was spread over almost 150 pages. I just gave up.
Nah thats a hard one. You had to set out your starting stats, pick a race, then background, then one class to start and get all their gear and proficiencies. Then you had to level up and take the other classes level 1 features BUT take their level up HP and hit die not base health or your original classes HP. Then you had to skip ahead to character advancements or whatever its called and look at the two multiclassing spell tables to determine your spell slots as well as the bonus proficiencies from leveling into that class, and make sure you had the minimum stat requirements. Then you'd need to go to the wizard rules to see what spells you CAN learn (goes by wizard level not total level) then go to the wizard spell list in the spell section and pick up spells from there.
Majority of people who suck off D&D as being easy to learn and play are using the character builder on DNDBeyond and are running everything out of a campaign book that picks all their encounters, plots out all their dungeons, and tells them when to make skill checks.
Nobody ever will play this game, it's the gaming equivalent of a funkopop. You buy it because of the idea it symbolizes and then put it on a shelf to collect dust. Pure distilled consumerism.
It's made by two guys and only those two guys, as far as I understand. Neither of them being the "pronouns in bio" type of person, as far as I can tell.
It's a shitty game full of magical realm shit by pedos.
It's not a mechanically good game either.
The scumbag OP should get lung cancer for shitting up /tg/.
>THEY EVEN HAVE SOMEONE WHO LOOKS LIKE ME SO I CAN SELF-INSERT
whatever happened to pure escapism, I don't want to be reminded I am a social outcast nerd, if I am pathetic enough to need to self-insert I want to self-insert as Boromir or something
Yeah, I was very excited for its release until it actually came out and seems not to have made a big splash. Still, really cool and unique way of mixing anime and fantasy gaming. I'd like to get the rulebook just for the nice art and fun character ideas and stuff, but I'd be a little embarrassed to actually play it at the table.
As a backer, I would rather use the art and concepts as part of a Fabula Ultima game than use BREAK!!'s system.
So exactly like B/X?
It doesn't do things exactly like B/X, but it's close. The foreword lists Stormbringer 1st edition as one of the game's influences, along with Maid, Teenagers from Outerspace (no edition given), and Old School Hack.

Yeah, it makes a distinction between in-setting humans and Earth humans
Okay? Do you have anything of substance to add to that or is this just another slide thread

It really, really, really doesn't.
It's basically everything that's wrong with modern fantasy.
Please have a nice day.
these two posts have the exact same value: zero.
>I like it
>I don't like it
Meanwhile, witness my post, a true marvel of /tg/ posting:
I WANT TO FRICK NO-PANTSU BLUE ELF
see, this is how you make a good post.
None of the words in your post were in the OP.
naruhodo
man, i am getting old
only noticed the lack of underweare from your post
I would like to try the system, but ultimately i´d have to dm it and that requieres more effort than i am willing to put in
Tell us about the actual game, moron. That’s the true filter.
>roll over
>roll under
>roll under but higher
>all in the same system
It's a mess, bro.
It just sounds boring, if anything.
So exactly like B/X?
All of D&D pre-WotC, and most of its clones as well.

wow so it's officially more accessible than 5e
isn't it crazy how fricking badly they formatted those books?

There's a reason normies just use beyond or other programs that autofill

>that hard-ass homie in the middle of the bottom row
i'd play an isekai game about a group of hood-rats making their way in another world.
Any self-respecting otaku would not play this game
Hey, I know that red head on the bottom.
Nice catch
I'm not sure what Zartanna and Corey Feldman are doing there though
Wish I had not seen that.
Has anybody actually played this game yet? Does anybody at all have any sort of first-hand experience they'd like to share?
Nobody ever will play this game, it's the gaming equivalent of a funkopop. You buy it because of the idea it symbolizes and then put it on a shelf to collect dust. Pure distilled consumerism.
No it doesn't. Take your advertisement elsewhere.
Play it with your own group, then, or find a way to run it solo.
We don't need to hear about it.
You cannot differentiate between inserting politics and having politics because you are dumb and take things too literally. (Very autistic.)
It's made by two guys and only those two guys, as far as I understand. Neither of them being the "pronouns in bio" type of person, as far as I can tell.

This game marketed to the japanese.
why are they like this, imagine looking at Wesley Crusher and thinking "literally me! I love this!"
That was the point of Wesley Crusher, yes.
>That was the point of Wesley Crusher, yes.
But it didn't work. Everyone hated Wesley. Meanwhile the Japs lap that shit up.
I don't know what it says about me that the only one of those that I recognize is Haruhi.
>pretending to have no sense of humor to justify your outrage
Neckbeard isekai human is funny. It ain't that deep Black person.
Isekai is also escapism
You want to self-insert as the guy who didn't even make it to the end of the journey?

asiaticslop.
So have you just never heard of the word “colloquialism”, or…?
Were dictionaries banned by your governor?
>ITT: some kind of a blue elf or something causes local internet activists in both sides to shit themselves
Seems like it's just one guy having a meltdown about politics, and one other guy having a meltdown about people enjoying isekai.
So what does it offer over playing an actual Japanese fantasy ttrpg?
American politics
I've enjoyed it
Is this the RPG that had a typical portly gentleman as the race portrait of the transmigrators?
Yeah, it makes a distinction between in-setting humans and Earth humans
