Well, I rolled in with 3 violet boards BiS gear and completely wrecked it as a result. Had to practically stop fighting it just so I could see allied attacks in the first phase.
If you are going to play, remember to do all of the shitty arena challenges because the homosexual dev had put the weapon upgrades behind it. Also the dogshit combat isn't worth playing on higher difficulties.
15 years of development time, and it sure as frick feels like it if you take playtime into account. Each chapter feels like it was inspired by a different era of anime that was airing at the time, before coming full circle to 2007 when development began with the TTGL anti-spirals. Then the cherry on top was rubber banding us back to the present with that after-credits Taiwanese puppet boss ripped straight outta Thunderbolt Fantasy.
This looks really good, it feels like one of those classic games except in an unique way and not a dogshit lazy PS2 graphics way that garbage indie devs love to replicate. I'll buy it when it goes on sale for sure.
only Ganker would complain about too much content in a singleplayer game lol
It's a great game but the fog god bullshit is really should not have happened.
Fog god is like 10 minutes out of 80 hours lol
>10 minutes
there is like bazillion shit I can grind for now
Did you just get into postscript? The story isnt over whatsoever if so
Its a lot quicker the second time but yeah you got like 15-20h left
it's not inherently a negative, I said the same thing multiple times and it just kept getting better most of the time
It's a long game.
as always op is a homosexual
Is it good?
If you like side scrolling action games, yes.
Play on hard though. Normal is too easy.
>If you like side scrolling action games, yes.
Most people have no experience with those, they just assume you're talking about memetroidvanias.
I went in thinking it was a metroidvania, and finished the game without ever doubting it.
It's not a metroidvania, you mouthbreather.
It is basically a metroidvania with slightly more linear maps though?
not him but you can't use "linear" and "metroidvania" in one sentence
Metroid Dread is a linear metroidvania
>metroid is metroidvania
Hard becomes rather easy towards the latter half of the game, really.
I did the bare minimum grinding in postscript and the final boss wrecked my shit

Violet boards? Huh. I dont think i ever even saw one lol only normal boards
It's surprisingly good. Dude worked on this game for like 15 years. This is a remastered version.
yes, it's huge time sink.
Can get repetitive but story, characters and music make up for that.
Yes, the haters have no taste. They just don't like the Ganker likes something
Really fricking fun.
Occasionally I got lost or couldn't find the way to the next zone, but overall REALLY fookin good, lad.
Yeah, the gameplay's fun. The story kinda sucks, unfortunately
Eh, I wouldn't say it sucks. It's kind of simple, but it's presented well enough and I didn't see any glaring mistakes in it.
Not kind of simple, it is simple and you're pretty much right. Still fun though.
If you are going to play, remember to do all of the shitty arena challenges because the homosexual dev had put the weapon upgrades behind it. Also the dogshit combat isn't worth playing on higher difficulties.
You have no idea what youre talking about, theres a single arena challenge for more recipes and thats all you really need, also git gud
It has a demo.
Just try it out.
>so shit it becomes an endless chore
So many cases.
