>better than crash 4
I disagree. WoC had a shit story, janky vehicle sections, only one ner powerup (which was dogshit), and a very ugly presentation. Music was top kino though.
>Rascal (PS1) >A Bug's Life (PS1, N64, PC) >Toy Story 2 (PS1, N64, Dreamcast, PC) >Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (PS1, Dreamcast, PC) >The Wrath of Cortex (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube)
First 3D platformers by Traveller's Tales. In hindsight, that Toy Story 2 game was a fluke.
Crash 4 was a good game. Unlockable outfits, challenging levels, tons of collectibles, and we even got to play as some new characters. The only problems with this game were twofold: the $60 pricetag and the difficulty of getting 106% completion.
>original game >2: Cortex Strikes Back >3: Warped >Team Racing >Bash >The Wrath of Cortex >Nitro Kart >Twinsanity >Tag Team Racing
It's the worst home console game of this 1996-2005 bunch
Had a great soundtrack, had less cringe and was more fun than Crash 4
damn straight. if they fixed the platforming and levels it could of been good as well as other stuff
>better than crash 4

>only one ner powerup (which was dogshit)
As opposed to having NO powerups, and all the powers getting downgraded to in stage gimmicks.
Crash 2 didn't have powerups either and yet it's regarded as the best crash game.
>Im fricking plying Crash 8 was anywhere near as good as Crash Bandicoot 2
>Crash 8
Sorry bro, but the time traveler thread is a few pages down.
I assume that 8 is supposed to be a 4, to which my response is:
Nobody said 4 is better than 2 so chill out gay.
>We didn't say it was better
He didn't say you did either, so I guess thanks for admitting that?
Oh, my mistake. Allow me to rectify:
Nobody said 4 is anywhere near as good as 2 so chill out gay.
You already implied it, and accidentally stated that you think it's better
I didn't but if you want to make up reasons to be angry at me then be my guest, it's no skin off my back.
those powerups made crash 3 worse
Says all you need to know about the troony incels shitting their pants about 4 honestly. Rent free, cope eternally.
you forgot to post your picture of gigachad photoshopped next to the cover of your shit game
>4troonys are the typical crowd crying about "MuH InCeLs"
Not surprised at all

the sky is blue
It's pretty unpolished, and the climbing and launch copy load times were way too slow.
But I wouldn't say it was actively bad
I like it but mostly because nostalgia since it was my first Crash game
doesn't stack up to 2 or 3 at all
And yet it's still better than 4.
Wrath of Cortex is the only Crash game I've ever played
It was ok
>Rascal (PS1)

>Toy Story 2 (PS1, N64, Dreamcast, PC)
>Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (PS1, Dreamcast, PC)

Toy Story 2 level design had so much soul. Never played anything like that again
Crash 4 was a good game. Unlockable outfits, challenging levels, tons of collectibles, and we even got to play as some new characters. The only problems with this game were twofold: the $60 pricetag and the difficulty of getting 106% completion.
>Good game
No, just no. It could be passable with a patch but it can NEVER be good. Wrath of Cortex could be good with a remake tho.
Level design of this stage is a joke. Obviously rushed.

Just compare to this Crash 1 stage

We know. Wrath of Cortex was made in SIX MONTHS. Yet its still better than IAT.
>original game
>2: Cortex Strikes Back
>3: Warped
>Team Racing
>Bash
>The Wrath of Cortex
>Nitro Kart
>Twinsanity
>Tag Team Racing

wrath of cortex is like if crash bandicoot was developed by sonic team
It's so frustrating. You keep waiting for the level design to become more interesting/challenging at some point in the stage, but it never happens.

Twinsanity was definitely an improvement. It's just more fun.

Klonoa was able to make a good "PS1 to PS2" transition in 2001. Shame the same cannot said about Crash.
