>You’re better off playing the remaster if you want better frame rate and resolution
It’s a preference of mouse and keyboard, can I get those going through the remaster?
>That’s pretty neat
Yeah, they're very fun. There's a few nicks to GD's emulation like the KF7 shooting faster, but the controls transfer over so well I that I wish they weren't console exclusive at the time.
Never played the original but the XB360 remaster is fricking excellent. It's about as good as a console FPS can get, especially without all that homosexual bunnyhopping, sprinting regenerating health, etc., bullshit designed for 8 year olds with ADD.
>no health regen or pickups, just the occasional shield >no midlevel checkpoints >nonlinear levels
And this is all post Half Life. Shit went south for console shootan a year later.
> four players > one hit kills > slappers only > each time you get slapped, your view goes blurry > Length of blurriness can be extended if you get slapped while your vision is blurry > blur effect is also some taxing on the N64 shitty hardware, so the framerate slows down the blurrier everything gets > Literally two minutes later the entire screen is just four squares filled with blurry light and the incredibly slowed down noises of people looking around completely blind trying to karate chop each other
Perfect Dark was shit. Even in completely normal situations (firefight in a tunnel in an office building with some guards, etc) the game would be more than happy to switch from frames per second to seconds per frame.
played it again recently on 1964 with mouse support and had a blast. as good as any classic pc shooter. the entire art direction was so on point it really was lighting in a bottle.
and the music is still good, listened to the ost a dozen more times after playing it and still go back sometimes.
Nah, you suck.
FPBP
>console shooter
That didn't tip you off?
emulate it honestly. you'll be thankful you did. get 4x resolution and 60FPS
>60fps
Looks nice but breaks the game in emulation

Wait nvm, I didn’t realise there was a program made specifically for perfect dark and goldeneye for mouse support and 60fps at 4K
That’s pretty neat

you had to play it with friends 20 years ago, OP.
Nowadays zoomers think multiplayer means "play online with complete strangers you quickly learn to hate".
i have nothing but good memories of the game op. sorry its not your cup of tea

zoomers deserve permaban
stealing enemies' guns is so fun

Another zoomer filtered. Good. Stay the frick away from my N64 games
frick off this game is great. i bet you didnt even play anything harder than agent.
This game was so good that I didn't even mind playing as some dumb bawd. Now that's saying something
this wasn't a dead give away?

I agree, very overrated. Doom is good though.
>Doom is good though
Baby first PC fps.
Every other 90's shooter btfo it.
Based Buildchad.
Perfect dark for example does not, which is the one we are discussing lol
well what are you gonna do about it
Worse singleplayer than Goldeneye, but much better MP. Still, releasing an FPS in 2000 that doesn't let you jump was inexcusable.
the jump thing is a non-issue in games designed without it. people loved the timesplitters games and they were the same.
What, they still didn't add jumping when they made Timesplitters?
Holy frick Rare were hacks.
doom 64 wasn't hurting from it either, and none of the classic doom games feel like they're worse without it either

the level designs are boring
worst thread on Ganker
Why?
