its okay. a clear downgrade from DOS2.
DOS2 is way too cheesable with pre-fight nonsense
It’s similar to DOS, but movement, attacks and misc actions are split rather than coming from the same action point pool, you get more abilities and can spam them in fights but you also have to rest after using them all up, there’s less elemental surface spam, and you can use the environment more
It's slow as frick, especially when you have a lot of characters acting.
It's fun to thinker with but breaks if you discover certain OP combos

Why the frick would I do any side quests under these circumstances? There's absolutely no sense of urgency. I know they eventually tell you that it's not like the others and normally people have turned by now, but I didn't hear this until near the end of chapter 1 after blitzing through everything.

i mean yeah that is what it does but there is no negative side effect to it. your character only gets stronger.

Pretty much, then in act 2 I got to the tower of the big bad and made the wizard teleport to the summit (big bad is always at the summit) whilst the rest of my party hid deep underground as far away as possible.
The big bad spoke to the wizard and said some shit then combat started. I activated the nuke.
I got a "bad" ending.
Whatever, it was an ending. I beat the game and never looked back.

You need to obliterate the head and cast true resurrection for that to work.
Granted Jergal’s capable of it, but either his hands are tied by the divine edicts, or he doesn’t want to risk the party going off script when he’s spent effort targeting them at the dead 3

Probably because you get about 3 separate rest cutscenes that tell you straight up that the ceremorphosis isn’t happening the way it should be
They never said "you're fine, it's doing nothing" they just say its not as fast as it usually is. I'm role-playing here. I have a guy with a thing in his brain that could kill him in a split second. Why am I going to assume that it being slower than documented (they're not even well understood and only a couple of specialists offer guidance whilst stating that they aren't exactly experts) is going to mean that I have all the time in the world to frolic with bards and pursue a romantic relationship with some equally TADPOLED b***h?
Well there’s the fact you meet other people with tadpoles in their heads that have clearly been around longer for 3 days, meaning the idea progress has been slowed isn’t just conjecture
