This gym test was so fricking cringe, I hate modern videogames so much, why do we need a streamer as a character?
The game was already so ass before this, it's easily one of the worst Pokemon games ever.

Wow, we've reached the point where it's such standard practice to hate every new game that actually likes the game is a "contrarian." Unbelievable.
To me, SV is fun. Maybe it's not like all the other pokemon games but that doesn't really bother me. I still get into it just like any other game and there's a lot to see and do. The arguments people make against it are so stupid, like someone just made a thread about how the games suck because you can't fish or go into houses. No, but you can fricking climb mountains, jump off, and fricking glide through the air! For everything that isn't there, there's something new that is, and at its heart it's still a pokemon game, which tons of pokemon to catch, and the format allows you a lot of freedom in how you set out to complete the game. If you compare SV to other non-pokemon Switch titles, it beats most of them in every category. So if you don't like it, that's fine, but quit acting it's the worst game ever made because it's not.

embarrassing. wow, they continue to gut the games in favor of short deadlines, but hey, there's a mechanic that lets the players climb barren landscapes in order to glide down onto barren fields. I totally have not seen this in the most simple 3D indie game, incredible!

There has been way more moronic themes for gym leaders.
People who defend SV are people who understand what makes a video game good and what makes a good Pokémon game: the gameplay mechanics and the world design.
Everybody agrees that they're ugly, unoptimized technical messes. Doesn't mean they're bad games at their core. They're a big step in the right direction for the series, a series that stagnated in mediocrity for 20 years.
Also there are trash gym leaders in every game. And it's always a purely subjective thing. Pretty sure she's popular.
