Same, I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions too. I had a little crush on Denise but she has my Mom's name so I couldn't get too attached. These days I can reconcile she's just cute.
I do have a question however, I had the game when it came out and I recall getting the bazooka upgrade for the Gustaff. It's a great upgrade overall, but is there a point where it downgrades? Just from use? I have this memory of the weapon being good, but suddenly sucking after a point. Did anyone else experience this?

Maybe uncommon, but if pricecharting is to be believed, copies are pretty regularly sold. I guess I just find it hard to consider mass produced retail games to be truly rare.
Rarity is relative to the hobby in question.
I guess for retail games, then maybe it could be rare-ish. Guess I just find it hard to classify something as truly rare when you can hop on ebay pretty much any day of the week and nab a copy, only for it to soon be replenished by a new listing. Granted, most of the truly, objectively rare games are things most collectors don't bother with.

Legends 2 didn’t sell well so they put it on the back burner. 3 gets cancelled due to internal politics and Capcom moves onto other money makers. Legends has always been a bit more niche then the classic games so why bother pouring money into a game that might not sell well? The success of the various legacy collections might turn the tides though, we’ll have to wait and see

Agreed. I really enjoy the low poly aesthetic. I think it fills a super useful niche in video games, in that it is 3d, looks nice, and is comparatively easy for a hobbyist to wire up.

i don't think good low poly is much harder than making good pixel art
it takes actual skill to make something of this quality. that's why most indie 3d art is untextured mud that all looks the same

No, the holy grail is Mega Man Legends 3. After numerous people promised its existence and got everyone excited for it in more than one era, it didn't exist then, and still doesn't exist today.

I really loved how megaman legends 1 handled exploration and map expansion. Gradually figuring out that everything was interconnected was awesome. The dungeons were very scary (to me as a 9-10 year old) so going deeper felt intimidating.
