Klonoa (Version BLANCO)
I always wanted to try Klonoa. Is it still expensive to buy this game? I know there’s the collection on Switch, but some people said the original version of the game is better.
I know it’s probably easier to emulate, but I like to have a small physical collection of games.
I believe the PS2 sequel is slightly more affordable.

the physical version is still in the hundreds. if you can speak runes the japanese version is cheaper, as always. i played it on retroarch with a nice lookin' good filter. probably not the most accurate though. dont bother with the remakes.
mediocre platformer at best, don't bother. The character is somewhat iconic but there's a reason the series isn't very popular. The game just sucks.

don't bother with the remasters, they suck. not sure how to "sell" someone on a game but, it's got a really nice vibe, the game takes place in the dream world. the pre-rendered graphics enhance that i think. the story isnt too complex but its nice and charming. the gameplay isn't anything too special but there's a couple unique gimmicks in there and i found it fun. its pretty easy most of the way through though until the end where it just gets ridiculous. music's nice as well.
How do the remaster suck? They have cleaner graphics no? And are there no mods on pc to restore whatever wrong with them?
PS1 game is based on the Wii remake and is more broken than that version which wasn't a good way to play the game in the first place.
Lunatea's Veil is perfectly playable for the most part, but some levels look a lot worse, especially the first level. There are missing animations and sound mastering issues in the cutscenes that wasn't in the original, and in my opinion the colors are overall worse.
Also the Mira-Mira airboarding level is absolute hell to 100% in the remake.
