it was an awesome game for its generation.
story mattered frick all but you got to rampage through all these set pieces and destructible environments with all sorts of weapons.
And all those weapons had a certain heft and feel which is hard to do in a video game, think the only other game that got close was Killzone2 and maybe BFBC2.
weird, my sometimes-wife says the same thing
>tee-hee the brainrot totally hasn't set in my fellow Gankerers
It's been a while since I last replayed it but I remember enjoying the game. I thought it was quite the visual spectacle in general, it was fun seeing shit blow up everywhere and the exaggerated death animations both when shooting and blowing up enemies. And though I was pretty indifferent about the story, I digged the general mood and aesthetics of the game's locations and scenery, just something about the game's lighting and eastern european vibes in general.
I do recall disliking how bulletspongy enemies felt at times, and being really annoyed during the final level of the game in particular.
This can all be summarized as "style over substance" but that's fine. It's not a game I revisit often, but I still feel nostalgic thinking about it.
>30 used to be the standard for old consoles.
No, it used to be 60/50. Then fluctuated between 15 and 60 until finally getting stuck on 30 in the PS3/360 era. Plenty of PS2 games are 60fps.
overrated style over substance garbage
Elaborate or frick off and suck wieners like the homosexual you are
I feel like my description is quite clear. Name one thing you think this game does good that wouldn't fall under "Style".
t. CoD fan
is that the word BLACK? why is everything woke?
My girlfriend (now wife) told me she loved playing this game while I was at work.
Funny thing is I never saw the case lying around.
weird, my sometimes-wife says the same thing
Sometimes-wife?
He's a cuck

>just kills every swinging dick on the bridge
I didn't know you were still allowed to buy and sell Blacks.
It's really not. It's just another console shooter. I tried it, it's slow as molasses.
What games do you like? I'm asking so I can call them shit whatever answer you provide.
Black.
>console shooter
>good
It was fun[spoiler] and hyper-cinematic and made my gorilla brain go ooga booga grug enjoy

basically this
>couldn't skip the cinematics
other than that great game, peak gun porn for the time
a shame it never got a PC release so will never have mouse aiming
true
why is it 30fps on series x
cause series x socks
30 used to be the standard for old consoles. Odds are, the game is locked to 30, and none of the programmers left know how to fix it.

Most of them weren't. PS2 had a lot of games is all.
>Most of them weren't
Yeah, the shovelware.
kill selves
Ea trash nonetheless. Not many fps on consoles back then so no actual competition.
Does it emulate well?
supposedly has a mouse injector but you need a very specific version and need to be playing it on pcsx2 nightly
it was one of my favorite games as a kid.
nice little tech demo
It isn't.
