NPCs in cyberpunk are randomly spawned, but they aren't randomly generated. they were all created by hand. that's why they aren't hideous obese space aboriginals.
I really like Starfield and i’m not an actual racist just an online racist, but the overwhelming brownness of the npc pool is a genuine turn off. I auto apply tunnel vision when roaming cities because of it
>I'm only a racist online where I'll never face consequences for my actions such as calling black people Black folk, in person I'm friends with tons of black people, but online I think they are lower than me
What an amazingly moronic take, at least own the fact you are a racist, christ.
calm down. he's just saying that he enjoys making playful racist jokes online, but doesn't do it IRL. Believe it or not, you can say "Black person" on Ganker without being a KKK member.
I'm sorry that you didn't discover a life before NEET became terminal.

I'm racist because I grew up as the only white family in the projects (American government housing for low income families) and I know what waits for whites if we become a minority.

As an addendum, my parents actively taught me to not be racist, and not to blame them for their behavior. But through various life experiences since then, I've noticed that blacks act like that no matter where they are, even so far as rich blacks committing more violent crimes than poor whites.

very ironic comment coming from someone supposedly anti-racist
Starfield blackness makes sense, there are more black people on earth then there are whites, so If we all would leave earth and spread and mix, the majority would be black and asian.
Asia has a declining birth rate, so is the west but Africa is having a boom.
I'm all for accurate shit, so no blacks in my western fantasy, but in a realistic space setting it makes sense.
If you are against blacks in where they make sense, the only point you're making is that your racist
>so If we all would leave earth
We all wouldn't leave, though. Straight up: there is no way to feasibly move billions of people anywhere in a timely manner, let alone by spaceship. So only a fraction would leave. A very small fraction. And realistically it's going to be the wealthiest, most technologically advanced humans who leave the earth. And that's not Africans, by and large. The tiny minority of wealthy Africans that exist would be able to buy their way off Earth, but 99.999% of Africans? They'd be left to die.
Kinda dumb to assume this. The wealthy elite would bring along a retinue of poors to have menial laborers for their grand exodus, because what the frick would they know about things like tilling the soil on the new planet they wanna colonize. Even your most technologically advanced richies would have had a Jose to make sure roomba 9000 was oiled and functioned right.
god this game is fricking comfy
driving around at night, listening to the radio, with the occasional phonecal, rain running down the windshield... Why don't other games focus on shit like this?
this is not true at all
I have 200+ hours in the game and have never seen an NPC that I had seen before (other than the duplicate NPC bug)
>Install a mod for Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 >spend the next 10-20 minutes driving around the city while listening to "Riders on the Storm"
Yep, that's comfy-core for me.
Thing I really like about this games is the scale, when you're on foot building look massive, not too small or too big natural looking, it's hard to explain, like the Fov is just right or something. It's really immersive
>I have 200+ hours in the game and have never seen an NPC that I had seen before
At the Arasaka parade I saw 5 identical black dudes, same outfits, standing next to each other in a line.
Did the new patch finally make it so the camera doesn't auto center every 3 seconds when driving? Cause if not odnt care+won't play+bad driving mechanics+level scaling is bad
again, as mentioned before
this is a bug that's been there since release
it copies the same appearance when generating npcs sometimes, you'll see the same identical npcs in the same area
that actual appearance is unique and procedurally generated, though
Doesn't 2 exact same NPCs spawning as a bug just validate what the anon said about them being handcrafted NPCs instead of being randomly generated? I mean, a bug where the game spawns multiple copies of "night city prostitute # 5" is more likely to happen than to spawn two characters that both have "body 3 hair 5 color blue shirt 16 etc. etc. etc." I mean.. I'm no mathematician but it sounds to me that the more variables thrown in to character generation the lower the odds of spawning 2 that have the exact same variables in close proximity.
>night city prostitute # 5"
That's literally it and you know it if you've sued the body switcher mod before.
i've fricked Blue Moon in all the sex scenes.
Oh and that one npc that's really fricking hot
I think starfield's problem isn't that they randomly generated npcs, but that they generated them completely randomly. They didn't put different weights on different values.
It's less about detail and more about their designs being fricking insane. And I haven't played rdr2

what killed my drive to even push through starfield through the end was seeing the Astral Lounge, a den of depravity, drugs and crime in a cyberpunk city where your every desire is possible... And it looks like a fricking children's birthday party. The game was designed by parents in their 60's with 4 children who cannot have an original or edgy thought for fear of offending their wives, boss or children. That's the only explanation I have for it.
The crimson fleet was just as bad. Pirates just felt like generic mercs, and didn't do any actual pirating, and everyone just curses a bit more than usual. It's so shit. It's all so inoffensive and safe, and corporate... Eugh.

I share your feelings about that. I think Microsoft cut off whatever balls Starfield had. It feels like a T game, not an M game. The only reason I can possibly see for the M rating is some of the drugs. All the sex is PG-13, and the violence has no gore or suffering, and barely any blood. Shit is about as offensive as Spyro the Dragon.

also yeah crimson fleet was awful, and that "heist" was hilarious where you just ask the people safekeeping the prize really nicely and they let you take it.

RDR2 doesn't have crowd NPCs iirc, and every NPC is just hand crafted. It's far, far from the scope of crowd NPCs.
If you played you would know this isnt true. The only NPC's that looks genuinely weird are the new atlantis ones. The ones on all the other planets look fine.
the funny thing is starfield is the same, you can often see same exact faces, so that wasn't bad luck or a weird clash of procgen, it was either intentional or gross incompetence, pick whichever you like.
For me, personally, it is a matter of perspective, really.
Perspective that V is not willing to change anytime soon
>get money from Kerry/hang out with him once he is free >accept the cushy, safe government job, use your connections to higher ups to have an easy time >alternatively you can leave with misty and chill out somewhere in eastern Poland >river is doing you a favor by refusing to drag you into his mess
Mods for this game are ridiculous. I wanted to install a mod for more quickslots and it has 5 dependencies you have to download first. This is fricking worse than python hell.

it's a reference to how CDPR started out selling knockoff CDs
they even talk about wanting to get into making braindances instead of selling them, so it's just them wanking off about how far they've come as a company
This girl gets posted in every Starfield thread because she's one of maybe 5 attractive women in the entire game. Not to mention that there's literally not a single even slightly sexy outfit in Starfield. The most skin you can get is a shoulder. Every TES and Fallout game had more sexy outfits, so Microsoft must be behind this.
>This girl gets posted in every Starfield thread because
Because she was from a mod which was taken down, which is why you never see caps of her in game dated within the last two weeks, nor will again.
have you played the side quest in phantom liberty with the nog boxer that has a chip in his head? he’s an excellent character with a great VA. I was surprised. They really are good at making tolerable nogs
I've started it, but I haven't done it yet
Have been really impressed with the sidequests in phantom liberty, even the gigs have custom stuff, dialog, choices, etc.
at what point do they become tolerable enough for you to not call em nogs, unless its never. then theres really no merit to how good you say they are if they cant even be good enough fictionally.
like if there was a cool latino character i wouldnt still call em a Hispanic, sounds weird if you actually like the character
It's not unusual for diverse friend groups to call each other by racial slurs. Those words are still just words, they only have as much power as you give them, and the intention affects the meaning significantly. look at /misc/ meetups, more diverse than any reddit meetup. kinda funny how the world works sometimes lol
its just weird, like i wouldnt use the same words for something i like with something i do like. if you say "wow the polack slavshit kinda looks good in this game" sounds like you still need to make everyone absolutely sure youre still racist. sounds sorta b***hmade whether you hate em or not.
side quests in the dlc where all excellent, i don't even know why they're tagged as gigs when some have more depth that main game's full sidequests.
My fav was the guy thinking he was his fav porn actress, mostly cuz you can insta fail it in so many ways, it was actually funny
really wish they would've done a pass over the main quest/sidequests to flesh them out like all the PL content but I guess that'd be borderline remaking the game
>gamer girl bathwater >Alex Jones radio station
PL was fun enough, endings are dogshit unless you just let so mi take you for a ride and let her do it so youre back at square one though.
>have a single-player game with a robust character creation system >store created character data and distribute them as updates when players connect their game online >seed the in-game world with created character npcs
Do games do this?
Closest I know is that there's a Rimworld mod where it copies the user's bases, damages them/otherwise fricks them up, and uses them as ruins for other players to discover in the world. It can be OP though, if you stumble across the ruins of a nice base full of nice shit.
There's also the screensaver, Electric Sheep. AIs make various appealing patterns and such, and users can vote on them. The highest rank screensavers, "sheep", get "bred" together to make new ones, which are then again voted on. It's like a screensaver that evolves based on its appeal to humans.
That rimworld mod and the compatibility with the spaceship mod make for some whacky situations, where your dirt farmer colony gets their hands on a million silver warp engine and has to try and hoof it out carrying the damn thing before the entire planet shows up to get a piece.
Max Gentleman Sexy Business used characters created by players in the studios previous game as the random minions you fight aside from the story bosses.
A lot of them are, but not all. However you might not need/want them all, because a lot of the most popular mods got put into the game officially. The modders are credited in the game, and the company asked them if it was okay to implement the mods.
I feel like some of my items just disappear. I collected like two iconic weapons and I can't find them anywhere in my inventory, and now I bought two cyberdeck quickhacks and I can't see them anywhere in my inventory again
You get some real monstrosities sometimes, but it makes sense given the setting, intended to be super fricked up and degenerate. They don't look out of place. But it doesn't make any sense in Starfield for the majority of NPCs to be la goblina memes. Sometimes you wonder if they're even human.
I don't understand that part, couldn't they just tag these NPCs as prostitutes and let you pick them up?
Surely even a modder can do it, this game could've been so much more.
the art direction in general is great
a lot of the ads are kino, too, and have variations/animations sometimes
which is funny since the art director is huge chick with a dyed mohawk but I guess dyed hair in poland and dyed hair in america are two very different things
not gonna lie, seems like the devs really put in some artwork and effort into the NPCs, they are also Ganker
not gonna lie the world still feels hollow, like they had 40 years worth of worldbuilding and the fricking creator working with them to share notes but absolutely nothing about the world building stands out to me. like ok corporations wage war now, but why? and who fights for them? any real war between 2 corporations would just be a competition of capital to hire more mercs than the other guys. corpo culture boils down to some guy acting like wall street snobs, street rats boil down to random street gangs.... like holy frick the world is bland compared to witcher which conjures up all this weird euro folk lore and childrens bedtime scare stories about how hags will eat your toes if you don't pray to jesus every day, it just oozes soul. the game just focused too hard on the johnny silverhand / V story, not enough about the city itself or the corporations that habit it tbh
The big point is that the corporations control the governments. America (in the game form) is basically owned by Militech, while Arasaka owns the East.
my point is that the corporations basically are the governments, since megacorps just bypass laws when they feel like it and that already gives you a bunch of cool ideas to explore like how brands are now essentially nations, you could even have some weird subculture in extreme brand loyalism which has replaced nationalism. but it's just "corpos = wall street, street rats = anti corpos" etc
point is, the setting is just bland, or the game does a piss poor job of making me interested in it. i remember how everyone was hyping up TRAUMA TEAM and how they're these elite swat doctors but there's no way to really interact with them in game and theyre more or less cops with different models.
I have a mod that makes women's ass/hips/thighs bigger. Sometimes I'll see a girl who doesn't have big ass/hips/thighs, and I immediately know it's a troony because the mod only affects female characters. But the game doesn't really endorse it, the whole point of the setting is that culture has gone to shit because it's entirely artificial and controlled by corporations, and anything that isn't is controlled by violent street gangs. It's supposed to be a bleak and degenerate setting, which makes the few cases of genuine human soul and kindness shine brighter against such a dark background.
I mean, if you were dying in a week or two, would you really waste your time fricking random prostitutes? May as well just overdose on future heroin or something in that case.
Your comment is idiotic given the number of side-missions you can take since the game doesn't enforce the "time limit" of you death if you don't do story missions.
The game features a variety of side activities so there's no excuse in not adding frickable prostitutes on top of doing trite shit for randos, which IS the bulk of the game.
Doing trite shit for randos is V still trying to become a legend before they die, or otherwise just trying to be remembered somehow, which is the main motivation of the character. I wasn't defending the game design choices, I was talking in general about how I personally wouldn't spend my last days fricking hookers, and I don't think many other people would do that. Some though, of course. Maybe you?
>if you were dying in a week or two, would you really waste your time fricking random prostitutes?
Probably, yeah. It's not entirely unreasonable or out of the question.
In Cyberpunk body modding has gotten to the point of furries not needing a suit to become their fursona. The game just doesn't have it and I'm surprised more mods didn't try to bring that into the game honestly.
It really makes a difference in some areas. Hell, the new DLC was funded by Nvidia as a showcase for the new abilities of their GPUs. And it really is a big difference. I played 2077 before and after this shit, and it's a significant improvement. Now, is it good enough for the cost? That's up to you.
>Hell, the new DLC was funded by Nvidia as a showcase for the new abilities of their GPUs.
it wasn't worth retroactively tanking performance on upper-mid range rigs just to help facilitate Nvidia's israeliteery
it "runs fine" but it runs worse and has more visual errors than it did before they hopped in bed with Nvidia. the chrome skin ray tracing bug was not present before the update, oh and guess what fixes it? nvidia israeliteery of course. oyyy vey just pay $900 more for a 7% increase in the light reflection, goy! oh, you won't pay? okay, then we'll just start making sure your game bugs out if you don't!
Find this scene before and after. HUUUUUGE difference, with the smoke affecting the light. It's conditional though, sometimes it's only a slight difference.
Why would I make the game look subjectively worse AND tank my FPS while it's at it?
That's even dumber than the morons trying to play vidya in 4k. For as good as the implementation of Ray Tracing is in 2077, the difference is completely meaningless.
I try to take down ladies non-lethally if I can, firefights get hectic but if theres a gap to zoom in with sandevistan and knock them out I will try.
Call me a simp but in 2077 sepcifically gunning down chicks makes me uneasy, even if I know they're just as morally fricked up in-universe as the dudes
Frick all scavs. Non-negotiable.
After that quest with Evelyn I shoot every scav on sight, even if beign ruzzke myself. Absolute Black folk of Night City.
Well, from my memories scavs being shit were nothing but just talk, like they scavenge chrome from people and what? They may looted it from dead or ohgawd killed people for it. But they are a gang after all, there are tonns of randoms being killed by gangs in NC.
Until it was shown how they really do that...
>pay to win boxing
Why does anyone even watch that shit anymore in 2077? All that matters is who can buy the fanciest augs. Or rather, who is funded by the richest guy to get punched in the face for money.
first playthrough this scene did nothing for me, replayed recently and when she grabs your hand I felt a visceral desire to really be there with her. I'm too lonely.
I agree, wholeheartedly. I think that part really goes over most player's heads, not because they're stupid, but because they don't even try to think about it. V is a character who feels invisible, meaningless, trying to become someone, something, with meaning. And suddenly, when they thought they were about to achieve that, everything falls apart. And V is left alone, trying to find a way to cope with it.
Some of the possible approaches you can take are really very "spiritual", not in a hippy way, but in a "what is the meaning of life?" way. And there's no real answer, V just does the best they can. It's nothing transcendental, other games and media have worked with the same idea, but this game did a surprisingly good job with it.
Been hearing good stuff about that. Is it worth watching? I've already torrented it but haven't watched it yet. I'm not really into anime, aside from a few. I'm worried that, despite the cool setting, it'll just be some generic anime shit.
It's Trigger (gainax). They really don't know much about making bad anime. So yes. Watch it. The dub is incredible, it uses the voice actors that cameo from the game in it, the animation is top notch, and the soundtrack is nothing less than kino.

>tfw adam smasher is 100x more intimidating in the show than the game >still killed him with Rebecca's shotgun anyway
I understand this happens. I don't think they handled it well. The moment Jackie dies there's no more talk about V's dreams of being a somebody it's just V dealing with what's happening in the moment. V's always dealing with someone else's problem and they lean on V but at not point does V really lean on them in an organic manner until the very end when he needs an army. It's not like V has this heart to heart with Takamura they just listen to what the Japanese guy has to say. The game doesn't even fricking let you properly antagonize Johnny, I spent the entire game telling him to frick off and during Tapeworm he still asks me if I'll take a bullet for him when all I've said the whole fricking game is that I wanted him to frick off.
I don't think I've ever felt more railroaded in a game that purports to have choice. Choice only mattered in regards how you handled a fricking credit-chip handed to you by a smoking hot Gillian Anderson but from then on out there was frick-all.
All it would have taken to fix this fricking story is for V to actually have some kind of conversations with Misty or Vic the way friends would talk to each other. Or to tell Panam or Judy about their condition earlier and have a meaningful conversation then. Just fricking something to show V reflecting on shit with other people the way they did with Jackie on the Delemain ride to the hotel.
>V to actually have some kind of conversations with Misty or Vic the way friends would talk to each other
That's true, and would have gone a long way. Also with Panam or Judy. But to me it seemed like V trying to be strong, alone, because that's all they knew how to do, and so only on rare occasions did they admit their feelings and fears, but it was always there.
I get the feeling they cut out an entire story arc that was supposed to happen before you get the chip in your head. Why was I, an unproven merc day 1 in the city, chosen to steal the most valuable technological creation of the age from arasaka headquarters maybe 2 hours into my playthrough?
first playthrough this scene did nothing for me, replayed recently and when she grabs your hand I felt a visceral desire to really be there with her. I'm too lonely.
The way they handle V grasping the concept of death and learning to let go is beautiful, unironically.
you guys aware how Clouds works? you realize this was just V talking to himself and telling himself everything he wanted to hear?
>add vendor meant to sell iconics you missed >except he doesn't sell all of them, only certain ones from the main game and none from Phantom LIberty >add the ability to hack cars >except you can't hack every car, only particular cars during certain missions
what was even the fricking point of adding this shit
>just during missions
I'm not a gay so I don't screen record all the time, but I had a cool moment the other night. Was driving through the desert and saw a pack of gang cars chasing a militech van that was fricking them up, but they were lighting it up too. It destroyed one of them while I was watching, and I figured "frick militech" so I hacked it and made it stop. While it was still, they lit it up, and so did I with my mounted MGs. Then it recovered and took off with them in pursuit, going down the highway, so I hacked it again to force acceleration. I caught up with it a bit later, it had veered off the road and slammed into a highway border, vehicle burning. Pretty cool. Except when I rolled up, the gang cars were just parked around it, didn't get out and do anything, or react when I rolled up. That would be cool, but regardless, the effects of the vehicle hacks were solid and interesting.
they're pretty now, but don't put your game on ultra graphics. Almost every npc has crows feet and wrinkles and dehydrated skin. It was genuinely so offputting i thought there would be a mod to smooth them out, or put on some moisturizer or something
just finished the dlc which ending do you guys like the most? I got king of cups and liked how it ended; seemed fitting but after seeing the others the moon one seems like it fits well too. I just didn't wanna betray idris elba because I was hype he was in the game tbh
I liked it before, and I like it now. People b***h and moan about the changes to netrunner. Well, my first playthrough was on the original, as a netrunner, and it was cool. I also played a netrunner on the new version, and I also like it, even though it's very different. My only complaint is that I wish the story would react more to you being a skilled netrunner.
2.0 overhauled a ton of the game's core mechanics and systems. Perks totally redone, police totally redone, vehicles changed so combat while driving is possible outside scripted events (and there are now more random drive by gunfights, and you can get into dramatic chases with the police, too). They also completely changed item progression, so that clothing is now, for the most part, totally cosmetic and only stuff like armored vests and helmets provide you with armor. Most armor is now gained from cyberware implants and a few perks.
Oh yeah, cyberware is different now too. They also changed some of the quests and maps.
>In the dystopian future where all diseases have a cure, body-modifying surgeries are a commonplace and morality is at the all-time low, women still look exactly the same except now they dress up like lady gaga
When is this phase of western slop ending? The stripclub with no strippers in starfield is the perfect example of wanting to make something and halfassing it because you're wienerblocked by the modern puritan mindset.
>women still look exactly the same except now they dress up like lady gaga
I gotta expand on the last thing in my post (
Finished this game for the first time ever last night and all i can think is: wasted potential. This game could've been so great. But the main story is SHORT. Like, fricking 10 hours long. When you reach the "point of no return" i genuinely thought it was some kind of halfway marker that would lock me out of certain side quests, but it was just the end of the game. >crafting system
Terrible, never used it once. Upgrading weapons is pointless because you loot better ones anyway. Crafting components are only useful for cyber implants, but you can only get like 4 implants anyway unless you dump points into tech >side quests
Actually good, but didn't tie into the main narrative at all. Why am I out here fricking around with Kerry and his bullshit when i have a CHIP IN MY HEAD THAT IS GOING TO KILL ME IN ?? DAYS. The one with river and his nephew is peak, and I expected more moments like that in this game, but was sadly disappointed >Upgrade trees
Too many options, too few points. >Cyber implants
Wasted potential. Stuff like the mantis blades and jumping stuff was insanely cool, but... that's it? We have mantis blades that pop out of your arm and nothing else? Lack of creativity in this department, and a refusal to fully commit to the "cyber" in cyberpunk >Main story
Very good, but too short. Feels like a lot was cut out because they didn't want to pay Keanu Reeves to record more lines. Speaking of, Keanu's voice acting was fricking terrible. Nothing brought me out of the story more than hearing Keanu stumble through a line like moron in class getting picked to do a powerpoint presentation >Graphics
Gorgeous, i have a 4080 and was able to get a consistent 100 fps on almost maxed settings >Combat
One of the high points, quick hacks were cool, but the netrunning and tech skill trees should've been combined into one tree. Makes no sense why I had to choose between cyber upgrades OR quickhack upgrades. Fricking stupid >customization
Fricking absent
) about customization because it's pissing me off now that I think about it. The clothing options were the worst out of any game I've played in the last 10 years. And I'm not joking. There was ONE single outfit that I thought was cool enough to wear, and it was the jacket that Johnny gives you. Most of the clothing options in this game are >neon suit >neon suit but shiny >neon suit but with metal bits >ugliest fricking trash homeless person clothes you've ever seen >wetsuit >untied shoes >untied shoes >untied shoes >untied shoes >untied shoes >lady clothes
And that's it. Don't forget how no matter what you put on, V will always roll his fricking sleeves up. Presumably solely for the cutscenes where you jack into something. And character customization? Almost as bad, because you NEVER see your character. Like, ever. There are no third-person cutscenes except for the very last one. I forgot what my character looked like, and was actually surprised to remember i had purple hair during the final cutscene. Why was I able to customize my genitals when there are no penetrative sex scenes in the game?
>Why was I able to customize my genitals when there are no penetrative sex scenes in the game?
You can have penetrative sex a few times, actually, but it's on you to actually make it happen. Basically if you don't flirt, you don't get any pussy. If you don't talk to the hooker, you don't bang her. That simple.
>You can have penetrative sex a few times, actually
No, you get 2 second flashes of a face making what i can only assume polish people think is a "pleasure face", and maybe some nipple. You do not see a penis enter a vegana in this game
You said your character doesn't have sex, they do in fact have sex. No, you don't get to see explicit veganal penetration because it's not a porno. You get a first person perspective of your character fricking for an "immersive" experience.
>So you want a porn game >No, you don't get to see explicit veganal penetration because it's not a porno
You need to have a nice day, neo-puritans. You have zero media literacy and explaining the differences in intention between pornography and artistic depictions of sex would clearly pass through your rotted minds like water in a sieve. The sex appeal in this game is surface level, a poster for reddit-brained zoomers like yourselves to point at and go "DOOOOD LOOK AT HOW MATURE THIS GAME ISSSS, YOU CAN HAVE SEX AND THERE ARE breasts ON BILLBOARDS". If you're too fricking stupid to see how human sexuality plays into the theming of a cyberpunk game, and how a "soooo epic SEX MONTAGE" undermines that theme, then you need to unplug your keyboard and strangle yourself with the cord

Movies with unsimulated sex are vanishingly rare. You're not some arthouse connoisseur, you're some gay trying to use not seeing 3d models bumping uglies as high brow critique.
Not having it, fattie. Go play Russia roulette with a glock.

Hypersexuality is a core theme to a cyberpunk universe. Putting breasts on a billboard and showing a penis in the character creator is not enough to do service to that theme. The most interesting way this game explored that was through the connected neural-link tank sex scene with Panam. It should've had a lot more like that. The clouds doll-girls too. Show me what a society where hedonism is the only virtue really looks like. Neon Las Vegas is not enough. A side quest where we just free the strippers GTA-style is not enough. Show me the augments people use for sex, how far they'd go to warp their bodies for greater and greater releases of dopamine. Show me degenerates who have modded themselves to have 10 robot veganas. Show me a man who modded himself a robot penis and a robot vegana and fricks himself all day. Show me a prostitute with 10 arms. Show me the FULL EXTENT of degeneracy in this society. Allowing you to change your genitals in the character creator was a non-choice to appeal to trannies who wanted to run around as dick girls. It did nothing to add to the game. It's like letting you change your kidney size. What's the point, if you never see your kidneys anyway?
You said your character doesn't have sex, they do in fact have sex. No, you don't get to see explicit veganal penetration because it's not a porno. You get a first person perspective of your character fricking for an "immersive" experience.
>This game could've been so great. But the main story is SHORT. Like, fricking 10 hours long
It is significantly longer than that. Even if you autistically stuck to only the core story quests it'd take you at least 20 hours to clear it unless you skipped like half the side stories. >Too many options, too few points.
Okay now I know you skipped over like 90% of the game's content. If anything the game is too generous with perk points and allows you to max out 3 different attributes. On top of the perk points from leveling up there's perk points from skill progression and perk points you can get from data shards.
Like I started a new file recently when 2.0 dropped and I was level 15 by the time I did the heist. By the time I broke into the Arasaka Industrial Park I was level 25, and I was mostly just cruising along doing the main story and side story quests, with only a few diversions here and there, I wasn't out trying to clear the map of exclamation point icons like my first play through. I was swimming in perk points by the time I got to the Phantom Liberty content.
>Okay now I know you skipped over like 90% of the game's content
Wrong, I hit the point of no return at like, level 25 and then spent the next 20 hours of my playthrough doing nothing but sidequests. I finished the panam storyline, the kerry stuff, the johnny and rogue stuff, river's storyline, and more than half of the cyberpsychos and random gigs. i have almost fully maxxed out cyber implants and quickhacks. i might've spread my points around too thin, but i did most of what this game has to offer. I didn't buy phantom liberty, but i'm not reviewing phantom liberty. >By the time I broke into the Arasaka Industrial Park I was level 25
2 quests away from the END OF THE GAME and the average player won't be half of level cap. That's short, and that's bullshit game design. It shouldn't even be possible for a player to be that close to the end without at least being level 40. The game's story is short, and even CDPR made it short intentionally because most players weren't finishing the witcher 3
I know he's not just a "random" NPC, but the Netwatch guy is genuinely one of the coolest-looking characters I've seen in a game. I don't have my own screenshots anymore, but goddamn, it's amazing how pretty this fricking game is. Taking screenshots of this deadbeat with the movie playing behind him was pure kino.
What I like about this scene is it was the first time I found out how full of shit Johnny was. He kind of bowled me over with his anti-corpo rhetoric at first, but he was just flat out wrong about the Voodoo Boys and this Netwatch guy. The whole time I was talking to the Netwatch guy he was b***hing and moaning about how the "corpo rat" was "playing me" and then it turned out the "corpo rat" was right about everything and Johnny just ate crow.
>deadbeat
Netwatch is the only thing separating humanity from annihilation by AI. Yeah, they're glowBlack folk, but it's them or complete annihilation.
Their protection is an illusion. The AI are already through the Blackwall. All Netwatch does is prevent total chaos, the worst of the AI are already here.
A handful of AI are through the blackwall, because they are generally benevolent, or just entirely unconcerned about humanity. But all the AIs that would absolutely destroy mankind, or worse, are held back by Netwatch.
I wish I could rape them. I also feel bad when I kill the Valentino girls cause most of them are single moms, from what I gleaned listening in to their conversations. I orphaned a lot of kids before I realized it.
>play a soldier game >slaughter enemies >play a stealth game >hear about how they're barely affording bills to keep their kids in school while paying for rent and bills
Shit's fricked in Night City.
>have a "secret agent" build, pistol with silencer and sniper rifles only, full stealth >handguns still utterly broken cause it's pre-2.0 >setting up to dome some gangsters in The Glen as part of a routine gig >hear one of them talking on the phone, a woman >"it's okay sweetie I'll be home in a few hours with food, I promise, mommy loves you" >feel disgusted with myself as I put one in her head from on top of the neighboring building
You can always just walk away from a job, anon. But...they're almost all like that. Even most of the Arasaka or Militech security people, they're just trying to make a life for their family in a fricked up world.
>kill all scavs and maelstrom on sight >show a little more mercy for other gangs >completely non lethal stealth for corpo soldiers unless drawn into open conflict or forced to kill
I do this every playthrough. Corpo soldiers have probably committed just as many atrocities as gangers, but I see them as just regular guys doing their jobs.

Sending like 400 glow in the dark CIA Black person soldiers to the demon realm with Song's blackwall power was well deserved. Judging from their screams of agony it was not pleasant.
Since I'm an autist, I avoid killing whenever I feel like it's just inviting more trouble or the victims are more troubles than its worth. Occasionally it works in my favor, like with these goofs.
When I did my corpo background run I avoided killing any of the Arasaka employees during the Industrial park break-in. I not only didn't kill anybody, I didn't even non-lethal take down anyone, I didn't even hack anyone or anything. Complete ghost. No trace. I bet I got a lot of people fired, though.
people always meme about games having pronouns but this game really awkwardly sounds like it's missing them
it's all
"need something"
"got something that needs doing"
like half the lines in the game that would sound more natural with I, me, my, they, you, and they're just not there

Are you ESL? That sounds like normal spoken English.
Corpo V is still an urchin who's lucky/opportunistic enough to get into corpo since you're most likely childhood friends with Jackie.

Corpo V's background says he's from a corpo family from Charter Hill. He's a nepo baby. Besides, Jackie is a gangbanger, how the frick would friendship with him open up Arasaka doors for V?

>nomad >make sense >yeah bro I was going to kill you after this job I hired you for so I didn't have to pay but youre a pretty cool dude, you can move in with me at my moms house
Yeah, totally realistic
You homosexuals are so disingenuous. The game's barely changed from launch, it is still an action game, not an RPG.
The PC version of this game is still the same shit as launch except with tweaked progression and better graphics.
I like the game for what it is and played it back at launch but the 2.0 "narrative" is laughable.
It's obviously great for people who've never played before but nothing in 2.0 "fixes" the game for someone who's already played it before.
The mission structure is still basically Rockstar, the rpg roleplaying and choices/consequences is borderline negligible and world interactivity is still basically non-existent.
If you like the game now, you would've liked it at launch. 2.0 didn't "save" shit outside of fixing bugs.
Kingdom cum i get it, this trash deus ex wannabe gta can be enjoyable but i dont think its redeemable hell they make a kinda more moronic system than vanilla in the rpg skill tree like GUN STAMINA
>gun stamina
Have you ever used a full-auto gun? Even most Americans don't know this feeling. It absolutely requires stamina to keep it on target, otherwise it goes wild.
Anonymous
moron probably thinks gun stamina means if you run out you can't shoot anymore.
Can't believe they managed to make an ending worse than the Arasaka one, V has zero dignity left in the phantom liberty main game ending. Probably gonna be a homeless cripple no one remembers.
I'll admit, I got fooled by the Arasaka ending. I thought the samurai would have my back and make sure I got cured, then got out. Didn't work out like that.
First game, when the Arasaka security raided the place, I climbed back up and saved him. But I saw how that turned out.
Now I know. The best, and most respectful thing you can do for him is to let him die there. You might think this is cold and heartless, but consider the alternatives. He was already admitting that Arasaka was fricked, but also said that he knew nothing else, and his Asian sense of honor would never let him do anything else.
To save him is to dishonor him. Letting him die with his pure ideals is the best thing you can do for him, it's the best outcome for him.
The Jap samurai are not so different than Western knights. Nearly identical, actually. And what is their primary function? Making sure the lower classes pay taxes, through violence.
>arasaka ending >teased that Johnny is still clinging onto your consciousness >they do nothing with this and and the game right there
CDPR built up god-levels of credibility with the Witcher 3 and shredded it all on their very next game
I like how the game assumes you’re a libtard and that the big corporations are bad because they’re big corporations, so it never bothers to explain to you what they actually do that’s wrong
Sure, if you ignore data shards that expound on it or the lore from the tabletop. I think there's even a soundbyte about how Korea's still a fricked ghost town devoid of life because of the last corpo war.
Corpos are fricked in 2077, same as 2023. Most of them are just people trying to survive, but still, they're part of the machine.
Ever seen that movie, "The Cube"? It's a horror movie about people trapped in an infinite torture cube. However, all of them helped develop it, even though none of them knew what they were working on. They were just doing their jobs, until they became the victims of it.
It's an excellent analogy. Everyone is just trying to get by, but they're building an ultimate evil. What is the moral move, here? Kill everyone involved? None of them wanted to make this shit...but they did.
Biotechnica purposely drove dozens of cash crops and livestock species to extinction so there wouldnt be any competition for their bug meat substitute
Arasaka destroyed all international shipping globally thanks to a moronic AI defense system plan that went haywire and Los control and now instantly targets any ship in the ocean for destruction unless its so heavily armed it can fight the entire way through. Both of those are explained in the game and are off the top of my head for insanely evil shit.
>magic Lupin III costume creator for spy missions
Frickers couldn't have thought of this for the main game? Pretending to be people was a lot of fun but being a French twink and a Cuban assassin is all we get and its over so quick.
You can always use the monowire and throwing knives. Holy frick, the throwing knives.
Also, you'll easily be able to max out another stat, so go for that Reflex/Cool.
I don’t actually want to fight against the corporations i want to play a V who is part of the system and actively works to uphold it. Why am i railroaded into doing the opposite in this “role playing game”
The only good part of the new "become a ciaBlack person cripple for madame president" ending is seeing Takemura being a crazed hobo rambling about how his life is ruined now and he spends every moment running from Arasaka. Lel.
The guy isn't joking about the Have No Mouth situation. The world is littered with cities that contain AIs that were nuked and buried and quarantined by both physical and wireless means. There are massive no-go rings around these cities to ensure no signal carrying device gets through. There's a reason why the desert around the Nomad camps are patrolled because it ensures that people don't fricking enter these areas where Skynet-Matrix AIs are dwelling and will utterly annihilate humanity if they are let out. The Blackwall is humanity's first and last line of defense against these AIs, the Blackwall itself is an AI and is assaulted constantly by AIs trying to enter human networks just to frick with shit.
It's a testament to how fricking shit the game was that the most exciting parts of the worldbuilding doesn't actually get expressed well enough.
America hasn't existed in CP2077 for 70+ years bro. America collapsed in the early 2000s from all its leaders being assassinated by the NSA and by the time they were purged it destroyed the rest of the government and over half the country's population had died in the conflict and famine. The NUSA is Militech larping as a country.
>America collapsed in the early 2000s from all its leaders being assassinated by the NSA
It started in 1996, and the ones assassinated were just the pres and VP, while speaker of the house was incapacitated for a different reason. The next in line said "frick no I'm not gonna be the new prez" and this refusal apparently just made everyone run around like headless chickens instead of trying to pass the role down to the next person in line.
if they were that serious about their "im dying" narrative, cdpr should've FORCED the timer for johnny to take over
but yeah its pretty shit that it feels like you have all the time in the world
Its pretty shit most open world start woth that bullshit and before the heist you cant do the whole map sidequests cause the devs are moronic at worldbuilding and quests
man I kinda wish they didnt make the game a power fantasy when it came to gameplay
goddamn mass market appeal maybe close future dystopia was never ment for too much profit...
V is doing gigs that most experienced crews couldn't do because he's being forced to do most things solo. He's absolutely on the same level as Smasher or Blackhand.
I auto apply tunnel vision when roaming cities because of it
I have news for you, pal
>I'm only a racist online where I'll never face consequences for my actions such as calling black people Black folk, in person I'm friends with tons of black people, but online I think they are lower than me
What an amazingly moronic take, at least own the fact you are a racist, christ.
calm down. he's just saying that he enjoys making playful racist jokes online, but doesn't do it IRL. Believe it or not, you can say "Black person" on Ganker without being a KKK member.
It's early days for him I'm, I remember when I used to be only joking.
I'm sorry that you didn't discover a life before NEET became terminal.
You'd be racist as well if the goverment turned all the houses around yours into social housing and filled them with Somalis.
What country?
UK
I'm racist because I grew up as the only white family in the projects (American government housing for low income families) and I know what waits for whites if we become a minority.
So you come from bad stock. Got it.
Call it what you want. But no, I don't.
allow me to use your language, you are victim blaming here.
Supposed by whom?
frick off tourist
He's right tho
Starfield blackness makes sense, there are more black people on earth then there are whites, so If we all would leave earth and spread and mix, the majority would be black and asian.
Asia has a declining birth rate, so is the west but Africa is having a boom.
I'm all for accurate shit, so no blacks in my western fantasy, but in a realistic space setting it makes sense.
If you are against blacks in where they make sense, the only point you're making is that your racist
Indian blacks yes, hardly Africans
>so If we all would leave earth
You know it wasn't the case like a century ago right?
I genuinely don't notice the race of any npcs when I play games until I go on Ganker and see people complaining about it
god this game is fricking comfy
driving around at night, listening to the radio, with the occasional phonecal, rain running down the windshield... Why don't other games focus on shit like this?
this is not true at all
I have 200+ hours in the game and have never seen an NPC that I had seen before (other than the duplicate NPC bug)
>Install a mod for Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
>spend the next 10-20 minutes driving around the city while listening to "Riders on the Storm"
Yep, that's comfy-core for me.
woah woah there's a CP77 mod that adds a nissan skyline r34?
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7767
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7606
Do they have interiors?
Thing I really like about this games is the scale, when you're on foot building look massive, not too small or too big natural looking, it's hard to explain, like the Fov is just right or something. It's really immersive
Funny cause panam fricking quest has the same name as that music
>I have 200+ hours in the game and have never seen an NPC that I had seen before
At the Arasaka parade I saw 5 identical black dudes, same outfits, standing next to each other in a line.
they're brothers
that's what I said, there is a bug that's been there since release where it spawns the same npc
but those npcs are procedurally generated, you'll never see them again, that's was the original point
Did the new patch finally make it so the camera doesn't auto center every 3 seconds when driving? Cause if not odnt care+won't play+bad driving mechanics+level scaling is bad
Yes, you manually move the camera now.
incorrect
there are at least 2 that are recycled
again, as mentioned before
this is a bug that's been there since release
it copies the same appearance when generating npcs sometimes, you'll see the same identical npcs in the same area
that actual appearance is unique and procedurally generated, though
So every npc is unique but theres always been a bug that makes them not unique, meaning they were never unique?
Don't try to argue with morons anon.
They didn't put different weights on different values.
you realize most of the "npc jank" is just clickbait right
Nah I played it, most npcs look fricking weird.
weird how? most crowd NPCs are low detail on purpose, youve just plyaed too much rdr2 and have unrealistic standards tbh
It's not about being low detail, Morrowind NPCs were way lower detail and still managed to not look like 80% abominations.
It's less about detail and more about their designs being fricking insane. And I haven't played rdr2
You should its a good game.
I don't really like modern rockstar games.
i guarantee if you boot up the game you wont see "insane abominations" unless you go out of your way to look at every NPC you can see among a crowd of 50 you've just been drinkin too much clickbait kool aid lol
t. 150hrs and beat the game
I have about 40 hours in Starfield, but I decided to drop it and wait for the mods/patches/DLC. Most NPCs look fricked up.
fair enough, my immersion hardly gets ruined by stuff like that its more just the shitty UI that started grinding my ass
pic related the only time i remember seeing that meme npc stare on a really ugly NPC in my game, so it deffo exists but isnt as common as i see ppl saying
those two faces i've seen plenty before
those r literally just average crowd NPCs, they're not supposed to be super high detailed, play more games lol
>entire thread about good looking npcs
>starfield shitter comes in
>noooooo they're not supposed to be good looking
no need to be disgenuine sf has cute NPCs too, we were comparing crowd NPCs, i'm sure cyberpunk has plnety of shit ugly crowd NPCs too
holy frick they're all ugly, you're just blind
Yeah I didn't see that weird eye NPC meme much in my game, but they still looked all fricked up, sometimes barely human.
what killed my drive to even push through starfield through the end was seeing the Astral Lounge, a den of depravity, drugs and crime in a cyberpunk city where your every desire is possible...
Shit is about as offensive as Spyro the Dragon.
idk i think that bar was going for some weird kraftwerk gay bar vibe lol i kinda liked it
also yeah crimson fleet was awful, and that "heist" was hilarious where you just ask the people safekeeping the prize really nicely and they let you take it.
imo the only good faction writing was in UC Vanguard questline, which isn't a surprise since it was given to their more or less sole competent writer who was also responsible for un fricking fallout 4
>its not our game cannot surpass a game from 2018
>its that your standards are too high
>you just played too much rdr2 and have unrealistic standards
a game from 5 years ago
is considered "unrealistic standards"
what the frick is happening to this industry
RDR2 doesn't have crowd NPCs iirc, and every NPC is just hand crafted. It's far, far from the scope of crowd NPCs.
If you played you would know this isnt true. The only NPC's that looks genuinely weird are the new atlantis ones. The ones on all the other planets look fine.
I noticed that too. NPCs are much better elsewhere. Is Todd subtly redpilling people on the dangers of diversity?
Its because the NPC's in new atlantic were outsourced to a certain company in india while the others werent. I wish i was joking but its real.
>hideous obese space aboriginals
t. Starfield
They are semi-random actually. Devs just set sane parameters for them. They can have random combinations of hair, wearables, etc.
the funny thing is starfield is the same, you can often see same exact faces, so that wasn't bad luck or a weird clash of procgen, it was either intentional or gross incompetence, pick whichever you like.
Yup, looks like it.
She looks polish
Are Polish women pretty?
c-cute
Cute! I wonder what kind of panties they are wearing?
>DETECTED
Yes but they are absolute garbage mentally
>Yes but they are absolute garbage mentally
your average woman then
>WET DREAM
polish girls have the worst mental outlook out of any prostitute on this earth. They do have the softest breasts tho
How so?
they are succubi that will try and drain your life force
her nail polish is making me hard bros
>already balding from all the hair dye
I didn't know this game was so realistic.
>only not ugly NPCs are white
What did Todd mean by this?
that's not starfield dumb moron
polish girls are hot and the biggest erasmus bawds in Europe
what's her OF?
Married to one. My grandmother says she's the most beautiful woman she's ever seen and that's all you need to know.
frick you and your grandmother, you moma's little gay
same as every country. not always
i work with some
Looks like that GoT actress before she got walled and bogged
She can polish deez nuts
did I make my V look Polish by accident?
looks like elizabeth holmes
>If only you knew how bad things really are: the ending
For me, personally, it is a matter of perspective, really.
Perspective that V is not willing to change anytime soon
>get money from Kerry/hang out with him once he is free
>accept the cushy, safe government job, use your connections to higher ups to have an easy time
>alternatively you can leave with misty and chill out somewhere in eastern Poland
>river is doing you a favor by refusing to drag you into his mess
yeah, and all of that combined takes around 3 minutes to download and install
Mods for this game are ridiculous. I wanted to install a mod for more quickslots and it has 5 dependencies you have to download first. This is fricking worse than python hell.
average polish hairline
How does CDPR blatantly get away with stealing actor likenesses? The corpo chick Stout is a Gillian Anderson clone also
Now do Starfield!
we posting random ass npcs?
?
Yessss this one, there's a webm of her walking around.
Someone has it? I lost it
dems hips on Wendy
would look better without the bra
i'd like to ham her burger if you know what i mean
made for gang rape
She probably farts a lot
accidentally fricking annihilated her and her cameraman today while trying to do a sick handbrake-j-turn-dismount over that gate kek
CDPR's co-founder self-inserted in PL as a random trader mook. Using his real name and everything. He even speaks polish lmao.
Both guys are from CDPR
it's a reference to how CDPR started out selling knockoff CDs
they even talk about wanting to get into making braindances instead of selling them, so it's just them wanking off about how far they've come as a company
Someone post cute pink haired mox girl at lizzies
>1 zloty has been deposited in your gog account
Is this the cute NPCs thread?
SHIT HE'S HERE
RUN FOR YOUR LIVES

Lmfao 3 years of updates and NPCs still look like monsters
homie you moronic?
That's Starfield you fricking dumb frick.
For me is this girl.
Literally a mod.
Cybertroons will claim this is fake lmao
Ok Rasheej.
We got it
The girl who broke Ganker
If she's real then find her in game, cap it, and post.
Oh wait. You can't.
Huh. Weird.
It's been done numerous times. There are even webms showing her in game. She's also a recruitable companion.
Anon, She's a pc.
We've literally seen her creator show photoshops and all.
Italian low iq Black person
This girl gets posted in every Starfield thread because she's one of maybe 5 attractive women in the entire game. Not to mention that there's literally not a single even slightly sexy outfit in Starfield. The most skin you can get is a shoulder. Every TES and Fallout game had more sexy outfits, so Microsoft must be behind this.
>This girl gets posted in every Starfield thread because
Because she was from a mod which was taken down, which is why you never see caps of her in game dated within the last two weeks, nor will again.
that's a man
>BU-
no, cloning means he had guy junk, getting it removed doesn't make him any less of a man
jesus frick the amerimutts in starfield give me nightmares
How did Australian abbos manage to leave earth in starfeild and in such numbers, seriously like
The rockets for evacuating earth had diversity quotas.
omega soul
>do I have booger I'm my nose.
Its a copy of that NPC girl from the hotel lobby.
With shittier hair and outfit.
Why does she dress like a 40 year old sexually deprived millennial woman
because she's procedurally generated
CDPR are good at making based nogs
skibidi bop yes yes yes
have you played the side quest in phantom liberty with the nog boxer that has a chip in his head? he’s an excellent character with a great VA.
Get a load of this nog.
>cool latino character
daibido
side quests in the dlc where all excellent, i don't even know why they're tagged as gigs when some have more depth that main game's full sidequests.
My fav was the guy thinking he was his fav porn actress, mostly cuz you can insta fail it in so many ways, it was actually funny
really wish they would've done a pass over the main quest/sidequests to flesh them out like all the PL content but I guess that'd be borderline remaking the game
>gamer girl bathwater
>Alex Jones radio station
PL was fun enough, endings are dogshit unless you just let so mi take you for a ride and let her do it so youre back at square one though.
>making
>its literally idris elba
you are otherwise correct.
though, is river ward a nog? he looks pretty busted
What's with the constant blurry piss haze in this game?
This is a random ass npc in Starfield.
how cute some old man is saving little pictures still to appeal to the brown teenagers using Ganker
I'm 27.
that's what he said
27 is 'old' if you're 14. Also,
>he

>t. Never played Starfield
You're right, they aren't a shade of brown

>When NPCs have better Ganker than the main character

comfy game is comfy
Okay but where are the mods to strip her down and rape her in a dirty back alley
>have a single-player game with a robust character creation system
>store created character data and distribute them as updates when players connect their game online
>seed the in-game world with created character npcs
Max Gentleman Sexy Business used characters created by players in the studios previous game as the random minions you fight aside from the story bosses.
>haha... ha... d-do you like our game yet?
It's funny because you get it from a not-onlyfans porn star.
nice knees
>back of the knee, perhaps?
Are the mods fixed yet
yes
A lot of them are, but not all. However you might not need/want them all, because a lot of the most popular mods got put into the game officially. The modders are credited in the game, and the company asked them if it was okay to implement the mods.
gave me a bonner
I feel like some of my items just disappear. I collected like two iconic weapons and I can't find them anywhere in my inventory, and now I bought two cyberdeck quickhacks and I can't see them anywhere in my inventory again
I haven't heard of that happening. Maybe check your stash in your apartment, or the trunk of your car. Maybe they're in there
I think I figured it out, it gave me blueprints, not the items themselves.
I could've saved her
saw her in hotel, once as a guest and second as a maid . most decent looking girl in whole game
yoooo i've seen her in my game before
definitely better looking npcs than a lot of games
You get some real monstrosities sometimes, but it makes sense given the setting, intended to be super fricked up and degenerate. They don't look out of place. But it doesn't make any sense in Starfield for the majority of NPCs to be la goblina memes. Sometimes you wonder if they're even human.
>shiny golden panties
UOOOHHHHHH
For me it was this random prostitute that I hated I can't pick up.
for me its this one
equal parts trashy and hot
she's not random
johnny even comments on her if you go there with him
I don't understand that part, couldn't they just tag these NPCs as prostitutes and let you pick them up?
Surely even a modder can do it, this game could've been so much more.
After testing out a prostitute I cant fathom why anyone would ever talk to a joytoy again for the rest of the game
Least trashy woman in night city
you know it bb
not gonna lie, seems like the devs really put in some artwork and effort into the NPCs, they are also Ganker
the art direction in general is great
a lot of the ads are kino, too, and have variations/animations sometimes
which is funny since the art director is huge chick with a dyed mohawk but I guess dyed hair in poland and dyed hair in america are two very different things
the ads are pure soul
>TASTE THE RUV!
Nips can't end a word on a consonant other than n.
not gonna lie the world still feels hollow, like they had 40 years worth of worldbuilding and the fricking creator working with them to share notes but absolutely nothing about the world building stands out to me. like ok corporations wage war now, but why? and who fights for them? any real war between 2 corporations would just be a competition of capital to hire more mercs than the other guys. corpo culture boils down to some guy acting like wall street snobs, street rats boil down to random street gangs.... like holy frick the world is bland compared to witcher which conjures up all this weird euro folk lore and childrens bedtime scare stories about how hags will eat your toes if you don't pray to jesus every day, it just oozes soul. the game just focused too hard on the johnny silverhand / V story, not enough about the city itself or the corporations that habit it tbh
I see what you mean, but I think the setting is far from bland.
"you could have weird subcultures in extreme brand loyalism"
that's... that happens in game, moron
i'll have to unistall starfield to play cyberpunk again the game is so full of soul
good morning sir do not redeem the cyberfield sri
>gang member starts shooting at me
>cop joins in even before I fire back
T-thanks...
Stop shilling this troony game.
I will continue shilling this manly game you worthless Black, and there is nothing you can do to stop me LMAO
>NPCs are more attractive than the official romance options.
developers should be kicked in the teeth when they pull this shit
What's she doing in there?
>serious cutscene
>Milfguard moaning in the background
gets me every time
kek, Mr. Stud too. "Don't be sooooft."
sus
For me it's these killer frickbots
CDPR puts a lot of attention on their NPCs... Witcher 3 had a lot of cuties as well.
>every other female in the setting is a prostitute or fully promiscuous
>everyone modded to be a walking sex toy
>you can only have sex with and romance 2 people in your entire playthrough
>you can only have sex with ONE prostitute who specifically exists as the only prostitute options
what the frick were they thinking?
not spending too much on animations/solidifying V's character as a serious try hard solo.
I mean, if you were dying in a week or two, would you really waste your time fricking random prostitutes? May as well just overdose on future heroin or something in that case.
But doing random missions for local crime bosses so they give you deals on cars is fine as a full feature of the game though, right?
Take my comment in whatever context you'd like, anon. You were always going to, anyway.
Don't know why they didn't just have randomly generated prostitutes.
>every woman looks and dresses like a prostitute
>you can't have sex with basically any of them
sounds like typical anon experience in 2023
So their isn't a future where armpit/leg/tummy hair is back in fashion?
The darkest timeline
In Cyberpunk body modding has gotten to the point of furries not needing a suit to become their fursona. The game just doesn't have it and I'm surprised more mods didn't try to bring that into the game honestly.
if you don't have a path tracing capable gpu ask your workplace for a raise
>so bleached out you can't see the details on her face
>still a jagged edge on the side of the garage door
what's even the point?
It really makes a difference in some areas. Hell, the new DLC was funded by Nvidia as a showcase for the new abilities of their GPUs. And it really is a big difference. I played 2077 before and after this shit, and it's a significant improvement. Now, is it good enough for the cost? That's up to you.
>Hell, the new DLC was funded by Nvidia as a showcase for the new abilities of their GPUs.
it wasn't worth retroactively tanking performance on upper-mid range rigs just to help facilitate Nvidia's israeliteery
Runs fine on my Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, which is far from top of the line.
it "runs fine" but it runs worse and has more visual errors than it did before they hopped in bed with Nvidia. the chrome skin ray tracing bug was not present before the update, oh and guess what fixes it? nvidia israeliteery of course. oyyy vey just pay $900 more for a 7% increase in the light reflection, goy! oh, you won't pay? okay, then we'll just start making sure your game bugs out if you don't!
You can just turn it off in the settings, yknow. But yeah, although nvidia makes good shit, they are definitely greedy israelites.
>whats the point in the sun
who knows bro, who knows
I want to make Misty a mother and cdpr are violating my human rights by preventing me from doing so.
You would betray Jackie like that? Fricking scum.
He would smile down on me from heaven
the bloom lighting is really overdone and i dont see how the bounce light effect is enough to justify the insane fps loss
got any better examples?
Find this scene before and after. HUUUUUGE difference, with the smoke affecting the light. It's conditional though, sometimes it's only a slight difference.
i mean im sure it'll look great, but how much of that is just polishing and adding new embellishments, and how much is the path tracing .
i very much doubt its just "install pathtracing.exe, enable pathtracing.plugin" and voila
also volumetric particle shadows r cool but not really unique to pathtracing... even starfield has them
Why would I make the game look subjectively worse AND tank my FPS while it's at it?
That's even dumber than the morons trying to play vidya in 4k. For as good as the implementation of Ray Tracing is in 2077, the difference is completely meaningless.
This is an enemy.
I can fix her
Sure you can.
>reasons for a nonlethal playthrough
Arasaka has style
I try to take down ladies non-lethally if I can, firefights get hectic but if theres a gap to zoom in with sandevistan and knock them out I will try.
Call me a simp but in 2077 sepcifically gunning down chicks makes me uneasy, even if I know they're just as morally fricked up in-universe as the dudes
You re a fricking homosexual more than simp just because the npc have body type B
Reminder that video games aren't real
I have an entire folder with her pics
post em
Don't tell me that's a JINGUJI dress!
ALL Polish girls have this side profile, is it because they are joo?
Could be worse
I'll stick with Polish waifu holy frick I'm gonna be sick
Which gang's girls do you find the most attractive? For me it's maelstrom
Nothing wrong with that
Might be a plebeian response, but for me it's Rita Wheeler calling me "input", so I gotta go with the Mox
Animals
Condemn me if you like. I regret nothing
Tyger Claws, because I like to pretend most of them are not even Japanese, but they're basically all weebs.
Animals and Maelstrom
I could make them feel sexy, my dick will keep the cyberpsychosis at bay
maelstrom for sure
there's a few hot scavs in the dlc area too
Frick all scavs. Non-negotiable.
After that quest with Evelyn I shoot every scav on sight, even if beign ruzzke myself. Absolute Black folk of Night City.
Funny that a polsky game put slavs scavengers aca scavs as iredeemable scumbag anakin tier like the sand Black folk that killed his mom
>After that quest with Evelyn I shoot every scav on sight
Scavs are shown to be bad in the very first quest
Well, from my memories scavs being shit were nothing but just talk, like they scavenge chrome from people and what? They may looted it from dead or ohgawd killed people for it. But they are a gang after all, there are tonns of randoms being killed by gangs in NC.
Until it was shown how they really do that...
She looks like Rachel from the sinnerman quest except a different hairstyle, clothes and no glasses.
Would you a lady Maelstromer?
built for EMP
Yeah Angie in that boxer quest did something to my dick.
>pay to win boxing
Why does anyone even watch that shit anymore in 2077? All that matters is who can buy the fanciest augs. Or rather, who is funded by the richest guy to get punched in the face for money.
wish there was more of her..
>This is a random NPC ass.
The game has so much soul and thought put into it. Really wish that it wasn't released the way it did.
Mogs your entire npcs. I can't think of any other game that has NPC's that are unique looking.
i know that look
I really wish that there was an entire questline for the joytoys in cloud district.
first playthrough this scene did nothing for me, replayed recently and when she grabs your hand I felt a visceral desire to really be there with her. I'm too lonely.
The way they handle V grasping the concept of death and learning to let go is beautiful, unironically.
I wish I was grasping the concept of death with this AI spam
Edgerunners did this pretty well also.
Been hearing good stuff about that. Is it worth watching? I've already torrented it but haven't watched it yet. I'm not really into anime, aside from a few. I'm worried that, despite the cool setting, it'll just be some generic anime shit.
Yes, it is probably better than the game.
It's Trigger (gainax). They really don't know much about making bad anime. So yes. Watch it. The dub is incredible, it uses the voice actors that cameo from the game in it, the animation is top notch, and the soundtrack is nothing less than kino.
>tfw adam smasher is 100x more intimidating in the show than the game
>still killed him with Rebecca's shotgun anyway
You look like a frickable piece of meat.
Why was I, an unproven merc day 1 in the city, chosen to steal the most valuable technological creation of the age from arasaka headquarters maybe 2 hours into my playthrough?
you guys aware how Clouds works? you realize this was just V talking to himself and telling himself everything he wanted to hear?
>add vendor meant to sell iconics you missed
>except he doesn't sell all of them, only certain ones from the main game and none from Phantom LIberty
>add the ability to hack cars
>except you can't hack every car, only particular cars during certain missions
what was even the fricking point of adding this shit
>just during missions
That would be cool, but regardless, the effects of the vehicle hacks were solid and interesting.
shrimp lady lookin fine asf
they're pretty now, but don't put your game on ultra graphics. Almost every npc has crows feet and wrinkles and dehydrated skin. It was genuinely so offputting i thought there would be a mod to smooth them out, or put on some moisturizer or something
just like real women
Is the game actually good now?
no. I mean kind of. The main story is way too short, and the "good" sidequests don't even come up until you finish the second to last mission.
its pretty
prettiest game that exists actually
just driving around is really enjoyable
Starfloppers got real quiet after being reminded about Cyberkino
the best npc is the old asian guy with pink short shorts and a fanny pack. just incredible swag.
All the patches and fixes in the world will never change this:
>move stick 0.1mm while car is going at low speed
>it careers into 75 obstacles
what the frick is going on? people say to turn down driving sensitivity but even on 1 its the exact same.
idk about controller controls but on pc it I found that different cars handled pretty differently. There's probably one out there that's driveable.
bikes are the most tolerable but corners at speed are still a nightmare. i could drive better than this myself in real life and i am moronic.
Try other vehicles. Unlike the first version, the new update makes all the vehicles handle differently.
I think the game is trying to tell me something..
Why the frick is there only ONE (one) romance option if you're a straight man in this game?
because you're a bigot
This shit is more modest than what little girls are wearing IRL these days. Truly fricking degenerate that 2077 couldn't even be worse in this regard.
Would be hotter if the lines went upwards, like this
Imagine being this guy, and getting scared every time you rolled over in your bed.
Maybe he's one of those "zombies"
Is there a mod to fix all the receding hairlines?
just finished the dlc which ending do you guys like the most? I got king of cups and liked how it ended; seemed fitting but after seeing the others the moon one seems like it fits well too. I just didn't wanna betray idris elba because I was hype he was in the game tbh
Who is Idris Elba? Is he that black guy who created the 2077 setting? That sounds like the rare weird black American name that actually sounds good.
Hes an actor and voice actor. Youve probably seen something with him in it.
The only black guy I care about is that dude from The Book of Eli. That guy is cool.
hes an actor hes in the new dlc as an actor kind of like keanu reeves
bullshit thats AI using sophie turner as part of the prompt
How yall feelling about this game now?
First time I played the game was on 2.0
it was good enough that I decided to buy the dlc
lmao i literally just opened my photo of this moment too bro
I need to get a bigger monitors so I can get better screenshots
dont worry, no one cares about screenshots
I liked it before, and I like it now. People b***h and moan about the changes to netrunner. Well, my first playthrough was on the original, as a netrunner, and it was cool. I also played a netrunner on the new version, and I also like it, even though it's very different. My only complaint is that I wish the story would react more to you being a skilled netrunner.
i hate that its so obvious someone wanted yolandi visser in the game but it never came to fruition
Did the update overhaul the base game or just the DLC?
The update overhauls the base game. DLC adds a new area, new quests and the relic tree.
Iz gud yes
>In the dystopian future where all diseases have a cure, body-modifying surgeries are a commonplace and morality is at the all-time low, women still look exactly the same except now they dress up like lady gaga
When is this phase of western slop ending? The stripclub with no strippers in starfield is the perfect example of wanting to make something and halfassing it because you're wienerblocked by the modern puritan mindset.
>women still look exactly the same except now they dress up like lady gaga
I gotta expand on the last thing in my post (
) about customization because it's pissing me off now that I think about it. The clothing options were the worst out of any game I've played in the last 10 years. And I'm not joking. There was ONE single outfit that I thought was cool enough to wear, and it was the jacket that Johnny gives you. Most of the clothing options in this game are
>neon suit
>neon suit but shiny
>neon suit but with metal bits
>ugliest fricking trash homeless person clothes you've ever seen
>wetsuit
>untied shoes
>untied shoes
>untied shoes
>untied shoes
>untied shoes
>lady clothes
So you want a porn game. Go to f95, then.
>So you want a porn game
>No, you don't get to see explicit veganal penetration because it's not a porno
I wish it was more like the Sims where you can marry random women and put them in your house
Crafting components are only useful for cyber implants, but you can only get like 4 implants anyway unless you dump points into tech
>side quests
Actually good, but didn't tie into the main narrative at all. Why am I out here fricking around with Kerry and his bullshit when i have a CHIP IN MY HEAD THAT IS GOING TO KILL ME IN ?? DAYS. The one with river and his nephew is peak, and I expected more moments like that in this game, but was sadly disappointed
>Upgrade trees
Too many options, too few points.
>Cyber implants
Wasted potential. Stuff like the mantis blades and jumping stuff was insanely cool, but... that's it? We have mantis blades that pop out of your arm and nothing else? Lack of creativity in this department, and a refusal to fully commit to the "cyber" in cyberpunk
>Main story
Very good, but too short. Feels like a lot was cut out because they didn't want to pay Keanu Reeves to record more lines. Speaking of, Keanu's voice acting was fricking terrible. Nothing brought me out of the story more than hearing Keanu stumble through a line like moron in class getting picked to do a powerpoint presentation
>Graphics
Gorgeous, i have a 4080 and was able to get a consistent 100 fps on almost maxed settings
>Combat
One of the high points, quick hacks were cool, but the netrunning and tech skill trees should've been combined into one tree. Makes no sense why I had to choose between cyber upgrades OR quickhack upgrades. Fricking stupid
>customization
Fricking absent
Man frick the Voodoo Boys. So glad you have the option to frick them over.
>Tygers! Fight!
>My favourite colour is blood red! XD
Jesus, why is Tyger Claws female mook sound so cute?
I wish I could rape them. I also feel bad when I kill the Valentino girls cause most of them are single moms, from what I gleaned listening in to their conversations. I orphaned a lot of kids before I realized it.
>play a soldier game
>slaughter enemies
>play a stealth game
>hear about how they're barely affording bills to keep their kids in school while paying for rent and bills
Shit's fricked in Night City.
>have a "secret agent" build, pistol with silencer and sniper rifles only, full stealth
>handguns still utterly broken cause it's pre-2.0
>setting up to dome some gangsters in The Glen as part of a routine gig
>hear one of them talking on the phone, a woman
>"it's okay sweetie I'll be home in a few hours with food, I promise, mommy loves you"
>feel disgusted with myself as I put one in her head from on top of the neighboring building
You can always just walk away from a job, anon. But...they're almost all like that. Even most of the Arasaka or Militech security people, they're just trying to make a life for their family in a fricked up world.
>kill all scavs and maelstrom on sight
>show a little more mercy for other gangs
>completely non lethal stealth for corpo soldiers unless drawn into open conflict or forced to kill
No trace. I bet I got a lot of people fired, though.
>choose corpo background
>my V still talks like a moron street urchin with zero class or intelligence
people always meme about games having pronouns but this game really awkwardly sounds like it's missing them
it's all
"need something"
"got something that needs doing"
like half the lines in the game that would sound more natural with I, me, my, they, you, and they're just not there
Are you ESL? That sounds like normal spoken English.
I worked for a bank and it was just like that. Big corps are just boys' clubs same as everywhere else.
Streetkid is canon. Other lifepaths are basically a LARP that had no point in existing.
>SABOOROW ARA SAHCKA?
Corpo V is still an urchin who's lucky/opportunistic enough to get into corpo since you're most likely childhood friends with Jackie.
Corpo V's background says he's from a corpo family from Charter Hill. He's a nepo baby. Besides, Jackie is a gangbanger, how the frick would friendship with him open up Arasaka doors for V?
Background sucks the only one that make sense are nomad and street rat
>nomad
>make sense
>yeah bro I was going to kill you after this job I hired you for so I didn't have to pay but youre a pretty cool dude, you can move in with me at my moms house
Yeah, totally realistic
Is there rape or sex mod for CP2077 at lovelab or Nexus?
You homosexuals are so disingenuous. The game's barely changed from launch, it is still an action game, not an RPG.
The PC version of this game is still the same shit as launch except with tweaked progression and better graphics.
honestly i feel like i'm experiencing more bugs after the 2.0 update
>barely changed
>same as launch
These are blatant lies. If you don't like the game, fair enough, but those claims are nonsense.
I liked it before and I like it now. I didn't play it at launch though, didn't bother.
Same as Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Fricked at the beginning, due to being released too early, but it became an excellent game. Same here.
It absolutely requires stamina to keep it on target, otherwise it goes wild.
moron probably thinks gun stamina means if you run out you can't shoot anymore.
We re in a game with cyborgs not at arma
look at her go
every npc using the head model in the op is hot as frick
>POV you're an anti depressant
She had an iconic pistol which was pretty fricking good. Unfortunately, a blood sacrifice had to be made for it.
i know her i killed her yesterday, that was a kino quest
I just shot her.
too bad dude's fate is always grim
Can't believe they managed to make an ending worse than the Arasaka one, V has zero dignity left in the phantom liberty main game ending. Probably gonna be a homeless cripple no one remembers.
that's the phantom liberty bad end
The other way cuts you off from doing the PL main game ending
>Sell out to the government
The new ending was not supposed to be achieved. Helping So Mi to the moon or killing her was the right choice.
Even the suicide ending is better than the new ending, at least your friends give a frick. They treat V like shit after he just wakes up from a coma.
>I thought the samurai would have my back
He's completely loyal to Arasaka and just a bodyguard ultimately
Japanese loyalty to masters are like dogs but more sterile like their genitals sice
The Jap samurai are not so different than Western knights. Nearly identical, actually. And what is their primary function? Making sure the lower classes pay taxes, through violence.
I'm not a commie btw, this is just the facts.
We were robbed of Female V
Nope thats a sodequest npcs of judy and the all cyberprostitutes matters
Look what I found.
I bet that mouth implant was made to disguise a bug
>arasaka ending
>teased that Johnny is still clinging onto your consciousness
>they do nothing with this and and the game right there
CDPR built up god-levels of credibility with the Witcher 3 and shredded it all on their very next game
Thank god my v is a Black person like a onions version of wesley snipes
>smart weapons don't get silencers
The gayest thing imaginable. Does it matter if I use other weapons as a pure Int guy?
You can always use the monowire and throwing knives. Holy frick, the throwing knives.
Also, you'll easily be able to max out another stat, so go for that Reflex/Cool.
I don’t actually want to fight against the corporations i want to play a V who is part of the system and actively works to uphold it. Why am i railroaded into doing the opposite in this “role playing game”
I mean, you can be a simp for Takemura and Arasaka all the way through. I mean, Arasaka keeps fricking you over time and time again, but keep simping.
The only good part of the new "become a ciaBlack person cripple for madame president" ending is seeing Takemura being a crazed hobo rambling about how his life is ruined now and he spends every moment running from Arasaka. Lel.
lol why doesn't a slave fight to enforce slavery?
Frick the corps. Netwatch is the only thing worth fighting for. Literally defending mankind against a nightmarish, Lovecraftian demise.
The way the world is in 2077 both physically and socially I would just let it burn. Nothing left, let's see whats behind the blackwall.
Yeah, things are bad. But they can always get worse.
Please read, "I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream"
it's not long. 15 minute read, if that. But it'll give you an idea of one possible outcome.
that book is so reddit
if so, then reddit has good taste in this case. read it.
>reddit has good taste
Have you read the book, or are you just looking for (you)s?
I wanted the bang the French girl. Reed is such a Black person he deserved to lose the Mexican standoff.
Id love to see the justification of two blacks murdering the only two red heads in the entire game.
didnt the american team make phantom liberty?
No?
Watch the credits. 90% of the names are Polish.
The "American Team" doesn't exist yet.
That means meyers is hillsry insert
I am 100% sure there will be a sex mod for her at some point.
just install appearance menu mod and change one of the joytoys into her
All these replies talking about
>Polish women
Night city is in America guys. You're looking at an American.
SIRS...
I WANT LINA BATHWATER
>can't hire lina to make a private sex bd with you when it's established she makes sex ones all the time
cdprojekt please
if they were that serious about their "im dying" narrative, cdpr should've FORCED the timer for johnny to take over
but yeah its pretty shit that it feels like you have all the time in the world
Its pretty shit most open world start woth that bullshit and before the heist you cant do the whole map sidequests cause the devs are moronic at worldbuilding and quests
Is that sadha grey insert or the bathwater girl with same egirl thot look?
man I kinda wish they didnt make the game a power fantasy when it came to gameplay
goddamn mass market appeal maybe close future dystopia was never ment for too much profit...
Is there a mod so I can do that all the time to people
Isn't that just a Blackwall hack that you get after finishing Phantom Liberty?
I finished it and don't remember getting a hack. Where is it supposed to be?
if you simp somi, you cannot get it
IIRC it's lootable in Cynosure facility during the Alien: Isolation segment.
V is canonically top 3 most powerful NC legends
How? Why? Because they beat Adam Smasher?
one of many feats that puts him on smasher and blackhands level
V is doing gigs that most experienced crews couldn't do because he's being forced to do most things solo. He's absolutely on the same level as Smasher or Blackhand.
somebody beating a guy sure is a solid proof how that somebody is on that guys level no?
I'm tired of pretty women having this shit hairstyle. Idgaf that this b***h ain't real, I'm pissed.
and?
Elizabeth Peralez is so fricking hot bros
