Have you played the demo? Does it make you want to purchase the full product? Just what is Mr. Yoko Taro thinking of this time?

No way in hell that'll be left uncensored in the west
Did you come from the universe where 2B got censored and Drakengard 3 doesn't exist?
Those weren't on any Nintendo consoles, anon
>Those weren't on any Nintendo consoles, anon
??? there are literally porn games on nintendo now wtf are you talking about?
Name 5
witcher 3
agony
GRISAIA PHANTOM TRIGGER
Metropolis: Lux Obscura
Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story
and hundreds of ecchi vns/ dungeon crawler
Holy frick just what year do you think this is? Nintendo don't censor third parties anymore (though regrettably Treehouse is settling back into their SJW tricks with first party games). Censoring third parties is Playstation's gig now.
I'm not paying money for a bunch of PNG and words. Fricking make those characters 3d and stop being lazy
mobile games have ruined him.
How do attack and defense work in this game? Your card attacks say a specific number, but usually you do more damage.ma
wasnt interested before but now i am
feels good to be a coomer
She need a BBC to nut in that ass
No I have not. I probably should, my brother tells me it's quite good.
The demo was alright. The actual game needs more challenge or a hard mode. The characters in the demo completely demolish every encounter.
The party in the demo are almost guaranteed to just be overpowered because they are the tutorial party and it gets more difficult when you switch to the real party.
Top left seriously reminds me of Octa.
Mechanics-wise, the demo seemed like a totally uninspired cut-and-paste JRPG. The card premise is just an excuse to do things cheaply, it adds nothing unique. It's like SquareEnix wanted to make an RPG for as cheaply as possible and attract people who are fans of Taro et al. Maybe they'll do something Triple Triad-esque with the card minigame, that might be minimally cool.
That said, I'm excited for the game and will absolutely buy it because I love Yoko Taro and it's obviously a Taro game, writing-wise.
Agreed, although idk how they're going to make the game naturally challenging given the limited mechanics of the demo.
100% agree, why the frick does the stupid pawn take so fricking long before it can move again?
>qt musclefu
I will now buy your game probably.
So far it felt like one of those random JRPGs I'd play on the SNES emulator, 15 years+ ago. I wonder what is the "catch"
Is there any online? Why shouldn’t I just get the NSP?
post the sticc witchfu
>actually just a turn based RPG with cards as opposed to a card game like I mistook it for
>Todd Haberkorn as the narrator
>Yoko Taro
I enjoyed the demo more than I thought I would and I'm debating whether or not to buy it.
I just need faster animations, that was my only issue. Besides that I'm waiting on the word of "it gets weird" when it releases, if I hear that I'm picking it up if not then maybe on a sale. I like Yoko Taro's work and I'm sure there is something in this game that'll provide his style but the demo felt extremely normal.
Automata had a really normal demo too, didn't it? Tragic end but besides the deaths of all your comrades at the initial flight down, there wasn't anything alarming or pointing towards the frickery that was ending C onwards.
Automata demo had some hooks though, the monologue at the start, the darting between shmup and 3rd person action, great music, and then ending on 2b/9s killing themselves. Voice of Cards demo was just jrpg but cards. I'm near certain that Voice of Cards will get weird but I'm just going to wait to make sure come launch day.
I'm guessing pic related will be the dedicated pervert. A "nutritionist."
The Automata demo didn't have the opening shmup section.
Have there been new screenshots posted somewhere?
Try keeping up to date with the official twitter if you can.

I had a great time with it. I don't know how much it's going for or when it's releasing, but if it's around $30ish and soon, I'll probably end up getting it. My years playing /tg/ stuff has made rolling dice like crack to me so being able to "roll" it in this game makes it a contender for me.
>but if it's around $30ish and soon, I'll probably end up getting it.
literally 30 dollars, releasing on Oct 28th
>literally 30 dollars, releasing on Oct 28th
Holy shit, you're right. Well then, he's got a sale from me.
All the positive feedback is great. I have the demo just sitting but have not quite found the drive to play it yet.
I don't like grim tone of Yoko Taro games like sinoalice and Drakengard/nier, so I'll skip this one.
I just find the combat to be a bit slow. Not gonna lie, I was really pushing to finish it. I liked Fuga a lot because it felt quick and snappy. And is there an option for a japanese commentator? I can't find it on the demo. Don't ask me why, my weeb ass just wants it.
I only saw the trailer, but I hope it's like what I wish Hand of Fate was.
HoF had this terrible 3d combat, but amazing presentation otherwise. If it just kept everything as "cards on a table" it would have been great.
>If it just kept everything as "cards on a table" it would have been great.
that's literally how it is, from dialogue, to map, to combat, to shops, everything is cards, even the menus(which can get a tad slow at times, hopefully they speed up some animations in the full game)
Good.
I really liked the token reward system in HoF. Loved him wagering one up to you, then dropping it in your cup when you won it.
Is it slow animation overall?
Yes, and it does. I like how it is a traditional JRPG but made with cards, not an actual card game. It's really unique. Still, no physical version is a complete turn off. I don't know if I'll buy it. I may wait to see if somebody makes it.
I played the demo and wasn't impressed. I wish they well all out with the cards by having deckbuilding for each character and shit.
As it is now it just feels like budget Dragon Quest rather than an unique take on the genre.
>Another generico card game where the only saving grace is good art.
I fricking sleep. Extremely sick of developers doing cardgames recently because it's such a lazy way of not making engaging, fun gameplay.
its not a card game though. its a regular jrpg
Everything being depicted as a card is lazy. Why not go the full 3D route?
aesthetic choice
You call it an aesthetic choice, I call it sloth. It just looks so lifeless and dull.
the word sloth has absolutely nothing to do with aesthetic quality. jesus christ you're dumb
I played the demo and enjoyed it. Only issue I had with it was thr slow speed of transitions would get really boring in a long game.
Had no idea Taro was involved. Hopefully that means the story won't be as basic as it appeared to be with just evil dragon awakens.
