I don't disagree, but hang in there.
If you're playing the original DS version, consider getting a 100% save file because it lets you skip through text if you can read faster than the default text speed. Remakes might have fixed that
> 1>3>2
Luckily 2 wasn't as long iirc. Franz is a qt3.14 but her game's the weakest I feel like.
>skipping text
if by skipping you mean making the text appear all at once instead of letting it appear incriminetally, then yes. The remakes on Steam let you skip right from the beginning which makes mashing through the text, in case you saved a bit too far back, a bit easier.
well it was a exclusive case for a special edition if i recall
>got softlocked like a moron
>it was at the very end of the case
I finished it for good a year later.
How'd you get softlocked in a VN?
There are few places where you can save just before losing the last hp during the trial.
The Joe Darke killings a serial murder case that had the most important police investigators, detectives and prosecutors looking into it. And in the en it was just a moron who killed someone by accidentally running over them with their car, but someone witnessed it so he killed the witness but someone witnessed it so he killed the witness but someone witnessed it so he killed the witness but someone witnessed it so he killed the witness but someone witnessed it so he killed the witness and in the end he just went "frick it" and turned himself in.
That's nothing.
Truth. 1-5 may be overlong, but at least it has interesting content and a great villain. AAI1-5 drove an already mediocre game off a cliff.
On the other hand, I just finished AAI2, and holy shit, it was a ride.
I loved everything about AA:I
That's what she said lmfaolololol!!!!
Sex with Emma.
it was a dlc case so atleast you get the bang for your buck
It is but the payoffs are great
Why is this one fricking case about as long as all the cases combined in 1?
Is it because DS release and they wanted to show the power of the DS?
Exactly. They deliberately wrote the case to include DS specific investigations, like the fingerprinting and luminol, and most importantly the ability to examine your evidence as a 3D model. Frankly I'm glad Capcom took the time to do this.
>Everyone hates Ace Apollo and the 3D games
>But everyone loves the Great Ace Attorney games
Was there ever a good case in 4, 5, and 6? Something really memorable?
DD's only bad case is 5-2. The others vary in quality. SoJ's best cases are 6-2 and 6-5 in that order, and the others range from OK to utter shit. The only good case in AJ is the first, and it just gets worse from there.
Nah, lots of people don’t really like the first case of Adventures, mainly because it goes on for far too long. There are also a few who don’t like Adventures in general since most of the game is essentially on tutorial mode.
i'm looking forward to when the gba games get translated so that i can finally play them.
aai2 is somewhat overrated imho
True, it's not flawless. I think people love it because it is arguably one of the best stories ever told in the AA canon. That said, it has some of the same issues as other entries, like flaws in logic, or being ahead of the game's answers. One of the flaws each of the games have are the multiple steps that they make you take, or the dialogue they make you sit through, before you can answer something really obvious. And in the meanwhile you get penalized for jumping to the accurate conclusion before establishing basic facts. It's like turning in math homework with correct answers and getting an F because you didn't show your work.
It is long but until 3-5 it actually ended up being my favorite case in the OT.
Gant made it worth it.
