>level design...
Ah yes, all those boxy corridors and missable objectives that require looping through the whole map again because of a lot of sections that disallow backtracking.
There's a reason that modern port of it added indicators.
said. The Remastered version is great just for all the customization. You can turn off the indicators and even lower the draw distance, bringing the fog back if you want. I really wish they would do remasters for 3 and Evolution.
>regressed into a labyrinth of copy pasted repetitive corridors
It's not like Turok 1 wasn't bad about the copy-pasting either, since every map was basically just 10 environment meshes arranged in a tile fashion.
>i have no clue why though
I assume it had a limited print? There was only the one store that had it for rental of the six in my area, and nowhere had it available to buy.
Really? How?
Just play it and find out yourself.
Content, pace, AI, level design... I wish console FPS followed its philosophy.

so reviewers could play it?
I find that the first game is better
This. Turok 2 is just a boring quake 2 clone.
>Having to use the c buttons to move around
No thanks.
Absolutely filtered. I thought that was the most insane fun shit
Just play the remake then
>c buttons to move
>stick to aim
>Z to shoot
Never had a problem with it.
c-buttons to move is peak (console) fps controls. C-buttons = WASD
>metadoom
>no metaturok
The bosses are pretty fun for the most part. Only section of the game I really dislike is lair of the blind ones
such good music
What's your favorite weapon anons?
The Razor Wind, of course.
cerebral bore of course
So many good weapons in this game. Maybe the scorpion launcher or the double barrel loaded with explosive rounds
Shredder + Charge Dart for efficiency.
Cerebral Bore for pure joy.
I don't remember which Turok game it was from, but I liked the gun that would gradually inflate people until they exploded.
That was Rage Wars.
>gradually inflate people until they exploded.
dobson, you played turok?
>Inflator
>Expander
The 90s were based.
The good ol' Tek Bow.
turok 2 was the shit back then, I really need to play the remaster
PC version or N64 version?
PC remastered
What

why skip rage wars?
It should just be bundled into Turok 3 as its multiplayer component.
Goddamn I miss Turok. If only the autists didn't screech so much over 3 and Evolution.
I wish we got an evolution 2. Though with more elements from seeds of evil where it wasn't solely dinosaurs
Up until you hit Level 4
Turok 64 had surprisingly good level design for a shooter of its day. I'd honestly compare it to Dark Souls.
But Turok 2 regressed into a labyrinth of copy pasted repetitive corridors and unintuitive map progression.

Turok is woke.
The GBC version also has a banging OST
>console game
>peak fps
lol no
Good choice, for me it was perfect dark but I respect turok chads. Too bad they wasted a reboot on that one trash game with the green logo.
rage wars is eternally slept on as kino N64 multiplayer. i have no clue why though. its up there with perfect dark and conker.
>i have no clue why though
I assume it had a limited print? There was only the one store that had it for rental of the six in my area, and nowhere had it available to buy.
I had rage wars and yeah it was fricking great. Strange single player, it was like arena levels till you get to that last dude.
Rage Wars has fantastic maps.
Besides Lair of the Blind ones frick that level.
How were the post-N64 Turok games?
why-did-they-even-bother tier. harmed the series more than just letting it be forgotten.
the re-releases of 1 and 2 on steam are great though.
>Evolution
Shit with no redeeming qualities
>08 reboot
Even worse than 343's halos
>with no redeeming qualities
The guns are excellent, way better than 3. The multiplayer is good too.
