The entire issue is that this game isnt p2w enough. No reason to roll for new characters because there hasnt been any endgame for years. Events are just stupid minigames and overworld you can just clear with shitters
You'll have fun running around until you get to the point that there really isn't anything out there to actually "explore" other than finding chest that are easily findable on the ground, then you'll go back to farming the artifact mines.
I get the feeling it's like one janny who does it because the threads can be fine all day long, several jannies probably saw it, did nothing then came him.
I was hyped for Heizou and he's OK. His autos are weak as frick, all his power is in his skill and burst. Also his autos are a little slower than I hoped for, but still pretty satisfying. Also his physical design is extremely boring. Just wait for Dendro.
I like her design and personality, but I'm still traumatized from maining physical Fischl. If they gave her arrows homing I'd roll in an instant, but it looks like they never will
Pyro dmg is better than ATK yes but a great ATK goblet can be better than a shitty pyro goblet depending on substats And you clearly have great substats. Use Kazuha for bonus dmg and you should be good to go.
Are the islands supposed to be intentionally sparse? There's no chests or monster camps or puzzles and I'm not sure if it's because I did them last year.
3.0 characters aren't adding shit to the game and anemo buffers will still be in dendro parties, it very much looks like Venti will be relevant again too since he can pull in the dendro shrooms.

They'll be used in any team you want max damage in. Dendro reactions aren't even that good and without VV shred the elements triggering them will do no damage. It's like using a taser team without VV shred, just moronic.

You can already play meltyu with Sunfire or even just Xiangling, the only thing Burning might possibly do there is allow you to also use Ganyu's Q and not run out of Pyro but that's a big if

Ganyu can already melt with Xiangling who does a HELL of a lot more damage than Collei does anon. Jean and Kazuha can both enable it too while offering lots of other utility.
You guys seem to think dendro is going to completely change the meta but it's just adding more variety. Dendro is only a bit better than electro in terms of reactions, it's still weaker than swirl, vaporize, and melt.

The strongest melt Ganyu team uses Kazuha.
You have Bennett as a core, either Kazuha or Xiangling as the backup pyro application, then your flex which is Zhongli usually.
With dendro you don't need 2 pyro characters, you'd just use Bennett. Then you have 1 flex which could be Zhongli(shield) or anemo(more damage).
But then again you were talking about removing Bennett from your melt Ganyu team so I'm just wasting my time talking to a moron.

They have to sit in the aura and they'll move towards you, it's not much different. And what do you mean you're laughing? Your team is using the absolute dead weight that is Thoma. Zhongli is a DPS loss but he still increases your damage quite a bit and you can use his burst too.

I dunno how people play like this! I did abyss for my friend a bunch of times with his melt Ganyu and I wanted to gouge my eyes out because it's so clunky and slow and weird and prone to fricking up if you miss or get hit. I sometimes just ended up using some forward melt team with his chad Diluc or outright freeze team even though his Ganyu wasn't specced for it lol.
And even if you play it alright like you did, it's not even a fast clear. 1m is super standard for that guy, for me it's way below average and I'm not a whale either. Seeing how you have Shenhe you probably have more 5 stars than me.
Is it really that fun for you? My idea of an archer nuking is Childe or Yelan big vapes then ungabunga button mashing until cooldowns are back up.

I'm more fond of freeze still, but I find melt Ganyu infinitely more fun shiedless than with a shield. First aspect is that playing naked means I actually have to pay attention to boss movesets. Skirting in and out of the vishap's range and baiting certain moves made for an experience so rewarding I can only compare to the time I was a newbie learning the ropes.
Second is that it confirms to me her kit is as well designed as I think it to be. You deploy a taunt to keep the heat off of her, or make use of her range against untauntable foes, there's even the possibility of bursting without losing melt, for some low-committal DPS. She feels like such a well rounded character I could play her solo if that was my thing.
And last is that numbers-wise it's in the same range of DPS as my other teams or a bit lower. It's engages me in multiple ways

JP, EN, and KR translations are always sloppy because chinks only give them the dialogu lieka couple weeks before the patch it supposed to go live. They usually go back and fix the old text in later patches

The current one is decent but man Chasm event was something else. I don't have problem with vacation/festival events but Genshin does it way too often. Very rarely we get events with some kind of danger, chasm event delivered that, lore and some great character moments/interaction.

At AR9, you have about 100,000 primogems just sitting out there in the open world to farm up by doing chests, story, shrines of depth keys, and hangout events.

So, this is where it comes down to superstition.
Everyone says that it doesn't matter.
And, on paper, it really shouldn't.
Every pull has a 0.6% chance of being a five star, every 10 pulls is a guaranteed 4 star, and every 90 pulls is a guaranteed 5 star.
However, I have ALWAYS had more luck doing 10-pulls as opposed to singles. I can't explain why, and I genuinely don't advise anyone to hold out since it legitimately doesn't make sense to do so with the game's listed mechanics.
Now we get into observed phenomena:
The game has a "Soft Pity" system that isn't explained anywhere. The more you pull, the higher your chances of a 5 star.

Leveling in this game is so awful it kills my motivation to play. There's no way to buy exp cards so you're forced to do limited leylines which require limited resin which all comes down to eventually spending $10 on a battlepass. You can get exp cards from chests but it doesn't feel like nearly enough to max out your characters much less two or three. I can't even build an abyss team becasue I know I won't have enough resources.
It just takes time anon don't be impatient if you're too cheap for a battle pass. I bought 2 when I first started since I wanted two of the weapons and at least 1 REALLY helped in the early game, I never had to spend any resin on ley lines because of it. But if you don't buy, just play casually and do ley lines until you have a good stockpile of exp.
You'll have to be patient. Once you are high enough AR, if there are no events and you are at zero EXP books, it should take about three days to get someone from 1-80 assuming you have the mora and ascension materials. If you don't have those either, about two weeks.
The way I cope with it as someone who is AR56 is that I'm spending resin on guaranteed power increases rather than playing the lottery with artifacts. I'm also the type to do 1 money leyline and 1 exp leyline when I log in.
I logged on recently and any desire to continue playing immediately died when I saw in game Mona in her cucked chink censor outfit for the new event. Yeah I have the option to use her original outfit, but the fact everything in game has to bend the knee to 13+ rating is gay as hell.

You have Bennett as a core, either Kazuha or Xiangling as the backup pyro application, then your flex which is Zhongli usually.
With dendro you don't need 2 pyro characters, you'd just use Bennett. Then you have 1 flex which could be Zhongli(shield) or anemo(more damage).
But then again you were talking about removing Bennett from your melt Ganyu team so I'm just wasting my time talking to a moron.

I did abyss for my friend a bunch of times with his melt Ganyu and I wanted to gouge my eyes out because it's so clunky and slow and weird and prone to fricking up if you miss or get hit. I sometimes just ended up using some forward melt team with his chad Diluc or outright freeze team even though his Ganyu wasn't specced for it lol.
And even if you play it alright like you did, it's not even a fast clear. 1m is super standard for that guy, for me it's way below average and I'm not a whale either. Seeing how you have Shenhe you probably have more 5 stars than me.
Is it really that fun for you? My idea of an archer nuking is Childe or Yelan big vapes then ungabunga button mashing until cooldowns are back up.
I'm more fond of freeze still, but I find melt Ganyu infinitely more fun shiedless than with a shield. First aspect is that playing naked means I actually have to pay attention to boss movesets. Skirting in and out of the vishap's range and baiting certain moves made for an experience so rewarding I can only compare to the time I was a newbie learning the ropes.
Second is that it confirms to me her kit is as well designed as I think it to be. You deploy a taunt to keep the heat off of her, or make use of her range against untauntable foes, there's even the possibility of bursting without losing melt, for some low-committal DPS. She feels like such a well rounded character I could play her solo if that was my thing.
And last is that numbers-wise it's in the same range of DPS as my other teams or a bit lower. It's engages me in multiple ways

At AR9, you have about 100,000 primogems just sitting out there in the open world to farm up by doing chests, story, shrines of depth keys, and hangout events.

So, this is where it comes down to superstition.
Everyone says that it doesn't matter.
And, on paper, it really shouldn't.
Every pull has a 0.6% chance of being a five star, every 10 pulls is a guaranteed 4 star, and every 90 pulls is a guaranteed 5 star.
However, I have ALWAYS had more luck doing 10-pulls as opposed to singles. I can't explain why, and I genuinely don't advise anyone to hold out since it legitimately doesn't make sense to do so with the game's listed mechanics.
Now we get into observed phenomena:
The game has a "Soft Pity" system that isn't explained anywhere. The more you pull, the higher your chances of a 5 star.
At 60 pulls (Meaning you have pulled a total of 60 times on that specific banner without getting a five star) your chances of pulling a five star go up to around 20%. At 70 pulls, it's about 40%, and at 80 pulls it's almost 50%.
Also keep in mind this carries over to the next character banner.
So, if you did 60 pulls on Kazuha's banner right now and didn't get a five star, that pity count would carry over to the next character banner.

Always do 10 pulls if you want the limited 5 star

Leveling in this game is so awful it kills my motivation to play. There's no way to buy exp cards so you're forced to do limited leylines which require limited resin which all comes down to eventually spending $10 on a battlepass. You can get exp cards from chests but it doesn't feel like nearly enough to max out your characters much less two or three. I can't even build an abyss team becasue I know I won't have enough resources.
It just takes time anon don't be impatient if you're too cheap for a battle pass. I bought 2 when I first started since I wanted two of the weapons and at least 1 REALLY helped in the early game, I never had to spend any resin on ley lines because of it. But if you don't buy, just play casually and do ley lines until you have a good stockpile of exp.
There's no rush.
You'll have to be patient. Once you are high enough AR, if there are no events and you are at zero EXP books, it should take about three days to get someone from 1-80 assuming you have the mora and ascension materials. If you don't have those either, about two weeks.
The way I cope with it as someone who is AR56 is that I'm spending resin on guaranteed power increases rather than playing the lottery with artifacts. I'm also the type to do 1 money leyline and 1 exp leyline when I log in.
I logged on recently and any desire to continue playing immediately died when I saw in game Mona in her cucked chink censor outfit for the new event. Yeah I have the option to use her original outfit, but the fact everything in game has to bend the knee to 13+ rating is gay as hell.
Maybe I'll give ZZZ a chance when it comes out. Kusanali is cute and Sumeru might be worth coming back for.

I have characters that can clear camps of hilichurls and treasure hoarders in seconds, but I'm choosing to take a minute just to use Kazuha only and JOOMP on them for fun, trying to swirl them with their own elements/weapons or the environment.
If your Kazuha isn't killing camps faster than other characters he must not be built.
His artifacts are shit and he's missing his last ascension, so he's not great yet. Doesn't make him less fun though.
