This is such a fricking dogshit type now. Even dragon legendaries like Eternatus and Giratina suck. There is no point to dragons now that every other type has strong Pokemon, while being way more useful offensively. You will never need a dragon-type move. A Pokemon like Tatsugiri could be completely busted with better secondary typing. There are few actual good dragons like Baxcalibur or Walking Wake

STAB for all Types is reduced to 1.33x, except Normal and Dragon which have 1.66x STAB
Did I do a good (no yelling or being mean pls)
You're a fricking moron.
Excuse me you violated my request
What request, these are closed decades ago.
IT'S ALRIGHT! I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT GAME BALANCE THOUGH!
Eternatus was one of the best mons in Ubers last gen. There are about as many prominent Dragon mons in comp as any other type. In Doubles there's Baxcalibur, Roaring Moon, Garchomp, and Dragonite. In Singles there's all of those alongside Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Walking Wake.
What are you even talking about?
He wants Dragons to overwhelmingly shit on every other type
>nooo i cant click outrage to win or nuke the entire enemy team with draco meteor dragon SUCKS!
It has high BP attacks that hit all but two types for neutral damage.
The Dragon type itself didn't get any worse, other types just got better.
>The Dragon type itself didn't get any worse
Fairies
That's not a direct nerf to the Dragon type. That's the introduction of a type that counters it. The type itself is as good as it ever was, it just has a counter now.
>Now
Dragon was good for Gens 3 and 4
Nothing since that, certainly not before that
It’s one of the shittiest groups of moms, but so many people keep sucking its dicks because Muh Uber Strong Special Dragoooons
homosexuals
>"shut the frick up"
Fairy and Steel are too good, with no real downsides. We need a new type to weaken those two and buff the shitty types (dragon, psychic, big)
Fairy just needs to be resisted by Grass and it will be fine. Steel is balanced by being weak to three of the most common offensive types.
Fairy needs to be weak to Bug to give Bug a reason to exist and give fairy some kind of downside. Meanwhile Steel is objectively the best defensive type in the game
That's not balance, Steel is the reason those types are common.
>Ground, Fire and Fighting are all great offensive types with great moves
>Steel weak to all of them, some members of the type are so allergic to one of these moves that they will die in one hit to them
seems fine to me
Before Gen 2, Fire and Fighting were awful. Even when top Pokemon were Normal, Grass, and Rock. It wasn’t until this new type that resists over half of all types was introduced that Fire and Fighting were good offensively.
Fire was bad because most of the Fire types had shit mivepools excepr a Magmar and CHARIZARD
Fighting was bad because it had no moves , psychic being over good, and most fighting types having embarrassing Special.
Fighting would still be bad offensively if it's best move was still Submission.
You might have a case for Fire, since it otherwise only hits pretty weak defensive types like Ice, Grass, and Bug, but Ground has Earthquake and Fighting handles Normal and Dark types very well.
The entire reason Fairy exists is to nerf Dragon, the same way Dark was invented to nerf Psychic. It's working as intended
And it nerfed both of them into the ground. Now both typings are an active detriment to the Pokemon they're on, especially Psychic which is now a bottom tier typing.
>You will never need a dragon-type move
You are a complete moron who doesn't actually play the game.
I wouldn't call it dogshit on its own honestly, Grass/Fire/Water/Electric resistance alone honestly makes it pretty solid as "all-arounder" defense secondary typing.
The issue isn't with Dragon so much that it is that Fairy exists and is blatantly and apologetically favored by the devs ever since it was introduced (at this point i would say Fairy has probably been "Top Type" for longer then Dragon was considering Gen1 and 2 wasn't THAT favorable to the type with shit like Set-Damage moves and being on 1-2 evolutionary lines total, Gen3 or 4 is probably when Dragon "surpassed" Psychic proper), and that is a issue all things weak to it share rather then being Dragon specific, in fact i would say that Dragon still has it better then its Fairy-Weak contemporaries.
>neutral on SIXTEEN types
>resist to Fire, Electric AND Water
>generally just high BST
It's a good STAB type, it's a good defensive Tera type, it's complete garbage as a coverage type but that doesn't fricking matter for the mons who actually have the type.
lol at "A Pokemon like Tatsugiri could be completely busted with better secondary typing." especially, what a fricking silly thing to say.
... frick Fairy lol
There are a lot of types out there that hit a ton of things neutrally and only have two or three resists, and those other types also have the advantage of hitting something other than themselves super-effectively.
Fairy is a much better defensive type, especially for Tera, because good Poison or Steel attacks are much harder to come by than Ice, which hits a lot more than just Dragon. Fairy is mostly just overtuned, where there should probably be more types that resist it so it's more firmly a defensive type instead of an also being a great offensive one.
>There are a lot of types out there that hit a ton of things neutrally and only have two or three resists, and those other types also have the advantage of hitting something other than themselves super-effectively.
Those types don't hit the entire game for (save for two types), for neutral damage. Sure, you're not doing super-effective damage on anything but other dragons, but that doesn't matter when you've got STAB. A neutral STAB attack does the same or more damage than a super-effective non-STAB attack most of the time anyway.
The boost from STAB is 50%, the same boost that a super-effective attack gets.
>Those types don't hit the entire game for (save for two types), for neutral damage
Yes, they instead hit the entire game for (save for three types), for neutral damage. Fairy has to deal with Poison, Steel, and Fire as resists, but also hits Dragon, Dark, and Fighting supereffectively.
Even better case with Ghost. Ghost only has to worry about Dark and Normal for resists, hits itself supereffectively just like Dragon, and also nails Psychic. And that's on top of two immunities and being immune to trapping.
>The boost from STAB is 50%, the same boost that a super-effective attack gets.
I don't know how to tell you this, but every type gets STAB, and can benefit from both it and super-effective hits at the same time.
>A neutral STAB attack does the same or more damage than a super-effective non-STAB attack most of the time anyway.
no, it doesn't. STAB gives 1.5x damage, type effectiveness gives 2x damage.
Fairy is trash offensively without STAB. Nothing runs Fairy moves unless they're STAB or have no better options.
Even with STAB, most dual-type Fairies rely more on their OTHER STAB.
>weak to objectively the two most powerful types in the game
Yep it's shit
Fairy is the gayest type in the game and why Steel is so prominent now. They should have just made Ice resistant or immune to Dragon attacks.
Steel was prominent well before Fairy existed
That wouldn't work because just like Steel, Ice is weak to Fire, and just about every Dragon type can learn Fire attacks.
Kyurem is still good.
