Reminder that Foundry would have sucked and not fit with the rest of the game at all, it's a good thing it was cut. >B-BUT MUH M&M SETTING
Don't care, this is HoMM not M&M.
Is it really? I prefer playing Disciples due to the combat system but I haven't played Heroes enough to judge which has the better overall game mechanics
It has great aesthetic but gameplay is extremely simplistic; where Heroes shine is map utilization at impossible difficulty level, it is actually the most complex yet elegant turn based game ever made.
Why not give it a whirl? The campaign and its story is nothing special so don't worry about having to spend dozens of hours in this game before "fully experiencing it". Instead, play a few scenarios with different towns and you'll have a pretty good idea what the game is all about.

I mean, it looks cool, but what is it?
if you don't know you don't deserve to know.
Hi newfriend. 🙂

I'm pretty sure they're still working on it even though the head dude bit the dust.
Disciples 2 is better.
Seriously, how did they do it?

Serious question - what makes Disciples combat system good in your opinion? I found it to be barely there, also Disciples 2 is a much better game.
They built upon a masterpiece that was HoMM2

I never played HOMM but I have a few hundred hours in Age of Wonders 3.
Answer me truthfully, is it worth going back to the old game?
