The graphics are so fricking blurry, it's disgusting. They've cranked motion blur and Vaseline AA to inhuman levels to try and hide how much they've cut down the visuals, and the frame rate isn't at all consistent on the performance mode.
They need to free this game from this shitty ass console and let me play it on my PC instead. Genuinely annoying to play a game this good in such a compromised manner.
Worst of all is the fps drops in the menus.

Yeah, it's really good. Could do with more gameplay in the prologue bit you play, but after that there's a bit from later in the game with some more shit unlocked. It's fun.
Best bits for me so far are the story and characters. Aside from one chick who gets a bit too "look at me, I'm the b***h from hell" and this one knight who acts like a moron, all the characters actually act and react like people. It's really refreshing to be playing a final fantasy game without everyone doing moronic anime gasps at every little thing and waving their arms around like dweebs.

I was surprised how much i was smiling by how dark and violent it was. It was wild seeing so much blood, so much sex and so much swearing in a Final Fantasy game for once.
And yeah the characters, the music, the story and the combat are all just spectacular. I hope the full game branchs out way more as you play through it though, the tight narrative can be a bit constrictive if it hangs around too long.
I think it’s a shame that the story is only about 30 hours.

It's not inefficient, they all dish out big damage and give you invulnerability which is exactly what you want to do after doing le (mmo mechanic). You can also clear packs of mobs by cycling them.

This seems to be true enough, I had to stop and wait for the basic mob ai for a LONG time to get them to actually attack me so I could practice timings.

This isn't true at all. You absolutely get beat on if you're standing stil flailing away on gouge or raging fists. I tried to spec garuda into big stagger and titan into big damage for openings, but the boss throws out constant attacks that will stun you out of whatever dumb shit you're trying to do. Each of the 3 eikons has an obvious counter skill that can uno reverse an attack with a bonus specialty (phoenix for ranged counter, garuda aerial counter, titan very close range melee counter), but the timing on them is nice and tight. Game's not hard by any means, but the skill ceiling seems to be really high and I know I wasn't doing even 20% of what I could have been. Excited to keep practicing, because there's way more shit under the hood here than in fromslop (don't @ me I fricking love fromslop btw).

Demo was really fun.
I love the voice acting and dialogue, swears were used but they always fit well with what was going on.
Facial expressions were also very well done, subtle shifts in expressions while someone is talking and stuff like that.
The combat felt crisp and responsive and it ws just fun to me.
Impressive as in "damn this presentation is amazing", sure.
There's other demos that are much more impressive in terms of content and scale though.

I've never played FF before. I thought that demo was excellent. Music, VA and Story all top notch. Combat seems pretty great too but would need more time to tell for sure, it was a bit too easy with the tutorial stuff.
