If you don't understand - you don't understand. That's all.
Literally every subzone here was perfect.
My only wish it was x5 times bigger and there were other awesome fantasy tundras in video games.
I world PvP'ed here sooo much, both on Horde and Ally. Retri pala, prot warr, hunter, dk. Awesome rape.
Nice music but I just remember it as a slog similar to hfp
Essen wagged
Only shame it doesn't have any dungeons that truly remind you are in Borean Tundra.I would personally make it something about the magnataur. Venturing into their bloody lairs, with all the meat and fat that they have prepared for the winter, skulls everywhere and their young. Creepy shit. I still think to this day these are the scariest enemies in wow. Another cool one would be something about tuskarr and kvaldir. Maybe tuskarr burial grounds, with the moai statue motif that they have, maybe interconnected with some glacier passages & kvaldir in them
based take. Borean is way better than Howling Fjord when it comes to questing. everyone just dickrides the latter because muh vikings muh norse aesthetics muh forest. the quests in Fjord are trash
I like this, I always wish we had more dungeons post-vanilla that just felt like regular monster lairs. I would have made all the Nexus stuff including Eye of Eternity into a big raid.
A post from someone who actually gives a shit, much more so than blizzard did by this point. Good work anon.
I hate the themepark layout TBC introduced
>Walk one direction for 10 minutes
>Entire geographical and geological change
Yeah, that's not how life works
yeah because vanilla was soo much better
>giant mountains surrounding every zone to hide the drastic shifts in geography
yeah it's so realistic...
>be in germany, its all green and sausages everywhere
>travel south 10 minutes to italy, scorched earth and pizza everywhere
b-b-but there's 5 new zones anon
don't you like new zones???
Yeah, i know. But they had to do it, because it would have been either too monotone or they would make a ton of small zones anyway. I like hellfire and terokkar the most, especially dead wastes area in terokkar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLbChPQbsZ0
However, tbc and wotlk themepark layouts are nowhere near the legion and bfa and onwards. those are just genuinely horrible. you run on mount for 15 seconds maybe and you already in a different theme, every time,
How am i able to tell you are a cowardly gay who doesnt get to at least 1000 honor kills, let alone 100, (all done in open world) before reaching max level?
>linear slog to the nexus
nice preview of cata
Genuinely fricking hate pvers. They ruined the spirit of warcraft completely. I used to pvp in this zone up to wow legion, till they introduced the homosexual warmode and level scaled zones. Making a level 70 character and scouring the zone for victims as a paladin with scarlet crusade tabard. Fricking awesome. Especially fighting them right in the warsong quarry. 1vs3 sometimes and coming victorious
Really good zone. And as a horde too, on wotlk, i would ride out and stand at the shore in frontof valiance keep. Super immersive. And players would attack me andwe would fight.
Lots of good pvp spots in this zone. Murloc area, horde farms, alliance farms, both sides of the tuskarr village, trapper area, amber ledge, the area with the blue dragons/cultists under the platforms
The best zone is Howling Fjord. Boring Tundra is literally shit.
WoW wasn't ment for PvP. The entire reason why WoW suck and it's entire problem is that it's a story driven game. You really can't have a progressing story and an MMO at the same time which is why all the other "WoW killers" ended up dying while sandbox MMOs are still alive. The only reason why FF is still kicking is because it has a good story if you like shitty weeb trash, and since it's purely PvE they don't have to give a shit about PvP at all.
Oh and another thing i like about borean tundra is how well it transitions to dragonblight. a huge portion of dragonblight still feels a bit like a natural continuation of borean tundra. they dont do it anymore
the only thing i liked was the undead woman with the pun in her title.
I used to fly around howling fjord on my 80 balance druid all day killing Alliance players that were picking on Horde levelers. Man the WoW itch is getting really strong.
>boring tundra
no
fjord better
Sholazar basin mogs it
>undead ice mordor expansion
>heres your Amazon jungle
is there a name for this?
Sholazar is some weird magical anomaly caused by the titans or something. I dont remember much from the quests because I read them like 15 years ago but most of them were about you exploring the zone trying to understand what caused the out of place fauna
I liked the fallen necropolis and the vrykul in the mist. But I have to say, Northrend mostly sucks
Actual best zone is Drustvar sorry
t. been playing since vanilla
>what should we call this really cold area?
>...coldarra
Bravo Tolkien
