A very creative and fun action game with a lot of rough edges.
It's not Pikmin, at its heart it's still an action game, and has combos, the fundamentals are just different. It also has a lot of gimmick sections (Bayonetta on steroids), though most of them use the core mechanics in some way which helps.
It will work just fine for combat.
There are some gimmick sections that were designed with a second screen, so in the remaster they had to put that second screen as an overlay. It's not a perfect solution but the game is still playable.
I can't speak for the WiiU experience, but I downloaded this off PS+, and it was fricking garbage. I like Platinum games too. It is just straight up trash though. No redeeming value. Play something else.
I unironically bought it because one day I heard the Space Jam remix of Tables Turn, which lead me looking up the original version and deciding to purchase it based on that alone.
I've blindly bought like 6 or 7 games for this same reason of one day randomly hearing the soundtrack, and I have never once been disappointed.
An alright action game that gets good only after you get used to the right stick inputs and risk/reward that comes with making your unite attack big or small.
Also remember to zoom out your camera
A 10/10 game, one of Kamiya's best. I hate how this board unjustifiably shat on this game once it got a multiplatform release, but I don't fricking care, it's still amazing to this day.
Really good game.
Very imaginative and fun. A love letter to super sentai/power ranger shows. Its just one crazy crazy ride that keeps getting better and better.
Personally, Platinum's best game.

A hindered experience if its not on Wii U tbqh
Some of the gimmick sections were designed with the pad in mind, but for regular combat you should be using the right analog stick to draw anyways.
How so? Is my PC Xbox controller not good enough?

>recommending the WiiU version
as someone with 800 hours on the WiiU version, don't do this
>800 hours
I had no idea this game could support that amount of playtime. Is it just that fun to replay?
yes but most of that time was probably load screens

You're an idiot
>can't even express what the game did wrong
Brainlet

how is the switch version?

A game that goes out of its way to make you not actually have fun with it.
Platinum being self aware as frick.
The best action combat game of all time intercut with frequent unbearable minigames
This was exactly my experience. It broke for me when I wanted to re fight the second boss but had to repeat a minute long Hanggliding sequence first.

PCtards got filtered. Same with Bayonetta.
It's Platinum's second best game
The only version of the game I don't like is the PS4 version. The way they use the touch pad to control the subscreen is really annoying
A masterpiece that will filter you for hours
The worst of Platinum.
Really good game.

>half the thread says it's shit
>the other half says its fantastic
So which is it?
that's how you know it's good
It's a fantastic game that you have to dedicate a ton of time to to really enjoy. Your entire first playthrough should be thought of as a tutorial
I am the only person who enjoyed the DLC
btw if you play it on PC I'd recommend playing with KBM controls, it's way easier to aim with a mouse.
