It really isn't. Why is the protag leaving the Vault? What point in the timeline does this game take place? What's up with the NCR? Why does Shady Sands look like some bombed-out ghetto? Where the frick did the West Coast BoS get the Chicago Airship?
Your expectations for this show are unreasonable. Bethesda doesn't even give a damn about canon or consistency. The show won't be canon. None of it has any obligation to make sense in the setting you're familiar with.

Always seemed to me that the reason for the return of the west coast was that the creators never played the old games and wanted to get away from Bethesda's canon the same way Bethesda took the series to the east coast, but then it's like "Oh yeah, there were games that already took place on the west coast, so let's just put some halfhearted references and call it a day. No bother trying to actually connect our story with the old one because we don't want to be restricted". I doubt there will actually be a references to anything unique to Fallout 1 and 2 besides passing stuff like the ruined Shady Sands sign.
It probably won't actually be if rumors are true that Microsoft wants Obsidian to work on the series again.

Season 1 halo was watchable (if you don't watch it as halo) Season 2 I couldn't even finish the first episode. I think i heard they literally went extra gay in it lol.
Season 1 halo is good if you view it as an Airplane!-esque parody of Halo.
I would be astonished if it is as bad. Don't get me wrong it's probably going to suck but I don't think a new fallout story about yet another vault dweller has the capacity to get as many things wrong as retelling Master Chief's story did
