There are plenty of people who think DAI is a good game, probably some who think it was the best game that year, don't limit your perspective. Award shows are largely BS but they're still a good enough temperature check, not unlike a metacritic score. The more weight you lend them the crazier you'll drive yourself, just see them as a way to gauge trends and preferences.

The game industry is still young but for better and worse these are our Oscars and they should be given the exact same reverence (which is probably not much).
