Just had a Contra name slapped on it because famous name sells better.
Same as with The Room game which coincidentally had Silent Hill brand slapped on it.
It was always a SH game but not the 4th mainline installment

You could play lots of better games at Famiclones, including the original Contra game

Agreed. I only ever got to play it at a mall on some bootleg Famicom, but i actually rather liked how it played. Yeah, it had slow down, but it felt closer to something like Metal Slug then it did Contra.
Because without the slowdown it would have been GREAT.
You can play it with emulation and have zero slowdown and the game still sucks
reminded me of the GI Joe games a bit, it was good

jeez, you guys are nuts lol, this game is frickn horrible. But maybe thats because it has the contra name even though its not a contra game, so its a disgrace to the other two ACTUAL contras. Its hard for me to get past that. I guess im just contra blind. Blind with rage.
its really not. Unless you've barely played any games on NES or really in general, there are FAR worse ones. Force functions in everything it does. You probably dont even understand how the character mechanic works

your wish is my command. uh, smb2 of course i love, as a kid we knew know better. it was so different and crazy and it was always talked about in nintendo power, it was a big deal. and i do think its a fun game even though its just a reskin of doki. im not sure what you mean by donkey kong 3, are you implying its not an actual donkey kong game? I remember renting it as a kid in the 80s and it was ok, thats about it. As for Bean Machine, we all know that is also a reskin of puyo puyo. Its not great.. it just makes me feel like kirbys avalanche. Same game, different mascot. Neither are bad games, they just are actual sonic or kirby games.
