We'll have to see more but it's not a good look. The strong and unabashedly shameless aesthetic of Future and OG is literally the biggest selling point, second being music.
Are you moronic?
The original Jet Set Radio is a fricking horrible game.
It isn't.
I'm decently hype for crazy taxi
Question: Will it be truly Crazy Taxi if it doesn't have licensed music? Would a punk rock soundtrack by the studio be just as fine?
>implying anything made by takenobu "the flyest japanese" mitsuyoshi makes slop
You must be subhuman. But GOD what I wouldn't do for a proper Daytona composed by him. Wouldn't hurt to see him try his hand at punk with Taxi, but he's more into that saturn/dreamcast up beat/airy/dreamy kinda sound with rock influence. I think the last game he did was VF5.
>low budget
If they're okay they'll recoup investment and make some profit without needing to sell 5mil+ like high risk AAA dev. Nostalgia will get a healthy audience to try this shit out, like I am really happy to see Shinobi and Golden Axe, they don't even need to work that hard to get someone like me to be ready to buy what definitely costs them relative peanuts to make.
Good. We need more of this "medium budget" games.
Right now your only options for games are >indie slop that is either a roguelite or a 3 hour experience that never delves deep into the game's own mechanics >AAA games with 3 quadrillion dollar budget that takes 7 years to make and is likely mediocre
Developers need to take a step back and stop trying so fricking hard to break a trillion sales with every release
I don't want companies to make billions you fricking dense c**t, when that happens they start pandering to the lowest common denominator to earn more and more because their business is no longer sustainable with a niche audience
Part of why Sonic put the Genesis/Mega Drive on the map was because it was designed more like a typical console experience. Plenty of other games like JSRF, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Skies of Arcadia, etc have that sensibility.
If you meet it on its own terms (a fun, level based parkour game), it's a great time. A lot of what made it fun to play has been done better by other games in the last decade.
Lmao modern gaming is so shit it's just all different skins and texture packs on unreal emgine with bloated 3d models with bad topology and floaty glitchy controls
Jet set radio and future are the definitions of all style no substance garbage games to play through if you're not a kid with unlimited time.
Don't know the rest of the franchises they showed at the trailer, doubt anyone cares about them.
Sega should just keep making Sonic and Yakuza games and occasionally fund some Total War Warhammer DLCs and that's it.
The power of outsourcing.
Good, cel shading is shit

what if is just sega slop music to compensate:
>implying anything made by takenobu "the flyest japanese" mitsuyoshi makes slop

IS THAT A NEW JET SET RADIO?!!
HELL YES Black person
LOOK
LET'S MAKE NEW LOW BUDGET VERSIONS OF THESE IRRELEVANT OLD ASS GAME FRANCHISES. THAT WILL SURELY MAKE US BILLIONS. LET'S GOO
>low budget

Isn't it going to be like some weird gacha?
Damn, I thought it was going to be a cosplayer from the thumber
Just AI slop sorry

>Jet Set Radio
>Crazy Taxi
>Streets of Rage
>My childhood
Sega is saved
>all 3 look like shit
Sure it is
>worse versions of games you played 25 years ago
>OMG MY CHILDHOOOOOOOD
buy a golden axe funko pop, freak
Please name all the 3D golden axe titles made 15 years ago
>golden fricking axe as a shitty hack n slash GoW shit
ohmygodyes
Crazy Taxi looks the best
Shinobi is right there, anon.
>BMAF
>don't start to frick like rabbits immediately after the light goes down
Most unrealistic part of the trailer
Disgusting. Can't say more without a 3 days ban for racism.
looks better than cellshading
hopefully they show more footage cause it’s looking grim
The original Jet Set Radio is a fricking horrible game.
Shut the frick up, gringo
Who needs gameplay when you have aesthetics and music, stupid c**t
Meanwhile you guys cry about Pizza Tower losing to an indie with no gameplay
But pizza has better music and aesthetic than Cucun, what is even your point?
JSR is a great arcade game people don't understand because they come at it as if it were designed like typical console games.
All of SEGA's games are arcadey as frick, they wont hold a console audience.
>All
No.
>Most
Yes.
Part of why Sonic put the Genesis/Mega Drive on the map was because it was designed more like a typical console experience. Plenty of other games like JSRF, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Skies of Arcadia, etc have that sensibility.
You're bad at it and no one needs to see a webm to know that.
This is true. The gameplay is genuinely terrible and JSRF is the one that actually deserves to be remembered as the classic.
Shinobi and Crazy Taxi look good, iffy on the rest of them.
>The gameplay is genuinely terrible
This homie never managed to land the tutorial loop. Laugh at him.
They made it a lot better to play in the sequel
Goddamn this is like 50x bigger than OG. Is there any good Xbox emulator?
CXBX specifically for JSRF, nothing else runs on the fricking thing.
Xemu for more compatible games but more bugs.
Xemu has the same emulation hangups the 360 had for it.
Min, please.
>Early development footage. Subject to changes.
/v/tards can’t read
And it looks better. Jet Set cel shading looked like shit.
It is pretty odd.
Please just leave JSR alone.
Please.
Why do you care? You can play supposedly good old games now, nobody could take them away.
BECAUSE NEW = BAD OLD = GOOD
THEY'RE KILLING MY CHILDHOOD!
go frick yourself, you're asking why someone doesn't want their favorite franchise to be connected to garbage wokeshit.
You can’t even play future since it hasn’t been ported anywhere
And that's a problem how?..
They could make such a great gacha with that license. What a waste.
As long as the final game reaches the same level as the pitch document renders, I’m ok with it.
barely?
it's not cel shaded
and it doesn't look like it's even attempting cel shading
There's Ben Day process dots everywhere so i guess it's going more for comic book take which I don't mind.
I'd rather they try something new than passively go "l-look, it's thing again!!!" Not much sense in recreating JSRF instead of porting it.
Would have preferred a whole new group instead of rehashing Professor K and Beat, too.
After hearing people nutride JSRF for so long, playing it was one of the most disappointing experience of my life.
That's because it's not cel-shaded. Soft shadows and cel-shading are mutually exclusive.
Jet set radio and future are the definitions of all style no substance garbage games to play through if you're not a kid with unlimited time.
Don't know the rest of the franchises they showed at the trailer, doubt anyone cares about them.

JSR is gay
JSRF is money
I will not read your incorrect opinions.
It looks very soulless, very lacking in style
There is no hope left for Sega
that looks good for an Xbox 360 game
