Devs split off, took their assets and published pic related. They went back to work to the Fallout 3 remake but then they got hired by bethesda. Since then, troons have taken control of F4NV's development
Yes, but somewhere along the line, two of the devs (FriedTurkey and Grill) went on to work with the F4NV team. They had some drama, took all their work and published it as Project Mojave
>(FriedTurkey and Grill) went on to work with the F4NV team
that was at the very beginning when both them got kicked off the F4NV team, and that motivated them to make actual roadmaps of content and push mods out like Point Lookout and the Zeta Project
>he was kicked for harassing actual Bethesda devs in the Official Bethesda Discord
So fricking what? Any normal rational human being would harass actual Bethesda devs in the Official Bethesda Discord.
You some sort of weirdo who wouldn't?
People never ask if there's any reason these conversion projects need to exist
New Vegas has the excuse of being crash city but that can be fixed in 5 mods tops
Why not port a game that actually uses a different system and would benefit from a new one like Fallout 1 and 2
>Why not port a game that actually uses a different system and would benefit from a new one like Fallout 1 and 2
Because they wouldn't benefit from a new one. A FPS remake of Fallout 2 came out a while back and it was utter shit. You can't separate the system from the game.
I almost hope it doesn't. If I learned anything from the Frontier disaster it's that modders, especially large teams, can't be trusted to make a decent product.
>modders, especially large teams, can't be trusted to make a decent product.
this is only true for americans and angloids. Krauts, slavs, and all manner of chinks generally tend to make decent largescale mods.
>this is only true for americans
the F4CW team is mostly american, the F4NV is a team of euros and slavs, and guess which team has actually released content
Why are modders so fricking weird? Can't they just make something like normal people? Why is it always this years-delayed mess full of weird pedo drama and furry attentionprostitutes? Don't normal people do this kind of shit too?
If you're going to bust your ass on a gay mod why not do a sequel like Archolos instead of autistically porting another work
I don't know how you're supposed to keep up morale doing that shit
Let me guess, transcord modder having meltdown because not enough praise, someone is using some of “their” assets, or they suddenly feel it’s ethically wrong to mod a game…?
Yes. a good amount of modern Bethesda fan projects are portfolios to get hired in Bethesda itself.
I can't blame them because Bethesda is unironically the best AAA studio you can work in. Unless if you were sent to Austin to work on 76. in that case, my condolences
This is probably the real reason Bethesda refuses to make a new engine. Doing so would make it harder to trawl Nexus for prospective hires with years of Gambryo experience
I remember that's what the Falskaar dev did, and instead he got hired by Bungie. Which of course makes sense considering that Falskaar was pretty shitty.
It's funny too because with a little bit of work you can mod NV up to almost modern standards, while F4 was barebones as an FPS even when it was brand new
Because FO4 brings some improvements to things like weapon mods, player homes, and Power Armor out of the gate, some of which is still better than what FNV mods provide (although Titans of the New West is commendable). There's also the general engine improvements of FO4, and the mods of FO4 that use such things to often be way less janky than FNV equivalents.
For me, one of the biggest things is the fact that FO4 Together is in early production, due to the game allegedly having many engine similarities to Skyrim Special Edition and thus can port much of the work, and Skyrim Together is a way better co-op mod than NV-MP. As such, in 12 years when everything enters public early alpha, FO4:NV will be the best way to play New Vegas in co-op.
>Have any of these bethesda total conversion mods ever actually come out?
It wasn't 100% finished, but Morroblivion had a functional release, where you can complete the main quest and most of the faction quests.
It was pretty fun. Oblivion engine but without the stupid level scaling, and with Morrowind items that are super broken on that engine.
re-recording the voice files was such a fricking bizarre time-wasting decision
I asked awhile back if they would at least keep the naming scheme for the new soundfiles so I can just overwrite them with the originals and they left me on read
gays
no it isn't and you're doing a bad job
the obvious choice is to just have blank audiofiles with the same naming scheme so that one can just grab the originals and put them in
nobody wants to hear you morons talk
>blank audiofiles with the same naming scheme so that one can just grab the originals and put them in
This. Or have someone make a program that automatically patches them in or some shit. Do it with plausible deniability.
Of course they won't do this because ultimately its to get hired at Bethesda.
The only project that has even a snowball's chance in hell of getting a full release, much less an enjoyable early release, is TR. Everything else will fail.
TR is already playable and good with enough content to be almost on par with Vanilla Morrowind in terms of scope and is superior in terms of quest design. I'm LITERALLY playing it right now.
everyone is waiting for the 2023 update, it doesn't help that it got plagued with discord drama from youtube ecelebs
Wasn't there some drama among the devs?
Devs split off, took their assets and published pic related. They went back to work to the Fallout 3 remake but then they got hired by bethesda. Since then, troons have taken control of F4NV's development
They've been two different teams from the beginning. F4CW team actually released DLC like the Pitt
Yes, but somewhere along the line, two of the devs (FriedTurkey and Grill) went on to work with the F4NV team. They had some drama, took all their work and published it as Project Mojave

Let's just say Beyond Skyrim will come out before this one
Shit like this never comes out. You should know this by now.
According to the devs, the map is done and now they're working on the quests
Skyblivion is the only mod coming out
it looks nice. It even has a bit of that forced soul with it.
Dunno, I lost interest when I found out the devs kicked a voice actor for shit talking the fricking Frontier of all things.
He wasn't a voice actor, and he was kicked for harassing actual Bethesda devs in the Official Bethesda Discord. He couldn't contain his autism.
Dev spotted.
>he was kicked for harassing actual Bethesda devs in the Official Bethesda Discord
So fricking what? Any normal rational human being would harass actual Bethesda devs in the Official Bethesda Discord.

I'm not a sperglord with a discord account
No
Nope

Because they never played those see project arroyo
see
it was that dumb moron TK mantis who was clout sharking on a project he had nothing to do with
>Why not port a game that actually uses a different system and would benefit from a new one like Fallout 1 and 2
Because they wouldn't benefit from a new one. A FPS remake of Fallout 2 came out a while back and it was utter shit. You can't separate the system from the game.

well guess who's making F4NV
>this is only true for americans
the F4CW team is mostly american, the F4NV is a team of euros and slavs, and guess which team has actually released content
I fricking hate that 'American' has become synonymous with 'costal Californian'
So why don't krauts or slavs and any manner of chinks make F4NV then?
Too busy modding STALKER and Skyrim.
too busy with F1NV
Why are modders so fricking weird? Can't they just make something like normal people? Why is it always this years-delayed mess full of weird pedo drama and furry attentionprostitutes? Don't normal people do this kind of shit too?
They're categorically autistic. The quality of their work depends entirely on weather it's the good kind of autism or the bad kind.
If you're going to bust your ass on a gay mod why not do a sequel like Archolos instead of autistically porting another work
I don't know how you're supposed to keep up morale doing that shit

You don't, that's why they almost never get finished.
give ie a decade
Unironically
Let me guess, transcord modder having meltdown because not enough praise, someone is using some of “their” assets, or they suddenly feel it’s ethically wrong to mod a game…?
Why ruin Kinout 4 with reddit vegas?

Yeah. They hired a bunch of modders over the last several years to work on their games. They showed some of them in the Starfield showcase.
somebody's just gonna make a New Vegas planet in Starfield instead
It still surprises me how many people jizz their pants over the far off possibility of playing a bootleg version of NV in an extremely similar engine.
It's funny too because with a little bit of work you can mod NV up to almost modern standards, while F4 was barebones as an FPS even when it was brand new

must be a fast and easy remake than 3 since the map is empty.
Have any of these bethesda total conversion mods ever actually come out?

no. fallout miami was in development for over 5 years now. starfield took less time.

It's a legal issue, tard.

What was that F4 mod that took place in the UK? It actually looked pretty interesting.
Oh, here. They seem to still be working on it, so thats good.
>be modder
>man frick bethesda im tired of having to fix thier shit and download 999 gorillion mods to make their games bearable
>bethesda hires you after seeing your mods on Nexus
>T-T-THANK YOU TODD-SAMA! ITADAKIMASU! I WILL WORK MY HARDEST ON THIS GAME!
Who actually wants this? All that work for... a copy of New Vegas? Surely you can just mod the base game to look/feel better.
AUTISM Anon. The answer is always AUTISM.
Would you be able to unlock a settlement on the Strip and autistically build a kickass casino?
