I'm sorry but I just hate you competitive pieces of fricks. Can't you just play rts game without obsessing with random 1v1 shit?
There's probably 50-100 hours of campaigns in that shit that you can play, but your first mind thing is "how do i 1v1???"
Sooooo do I buy it?
yes. it's a good game
Even without touching the PvP, it's still a good game.
If you ever decide to touch PvP, then there's a pretty decent tutorial that'll get you to about 1000 elo if you can get a good score in it..
Fricking real.
Competitive sweatbags ruined videogames.
Mad cause bad
Every game that has changed to be more competitive focused has become worse for it.
RTS especially.
Meta chasing endorphincucks can't understand having a game with friends, and they lash out when things aren't railroaded into their particular style of play.
Overwatch was a good example - the game was genuinely fun with no character limits in quickplay - but competitive sweatbags complained and a fun aspect got taken out of the game, then role queue, then intense MMR matching in quickplay - and now it's a game where you have queue times over 10 minutes only to end up on a team of screaming children who are upset you aren't playing a meta character/combination.
Video games as a whole would be much better if every e-sports demented Black person was immediately killed.
I don't get it. If you don't like pvp then just... don't play it? It's not like they totally got rid of the 100+hs of single player content the game has just for the inclusion of balance patches for pvp
There's no reason to play RTS against cheating computers, the point is to compete with other people.
Play against the AI and try to rush it to get the feel of how you should play, because most 1v1 games don't go past Castle Age.
American Conquest is also on sale for <2 dollars, if you're interested in AoE you might want to consider checking that or the Cossacks games out too, just don't expect a multiplayer scene.
It's a shit game, do not buy it
It's a great game, do buy it.
>None of my friends will play with me because they suck and I always win.
>Lose every online game because I suck at the game against people who actually know how to play
Feels bad man.
It's more fun against the CPU, honestly. Even noobs are metaslaves after watching youtube guides and optimal build orders
Unless you are playing someone literally at your exact skill level, you're going to get annoyed and games are meant to be fun. play chess if you want to tryhard in a strategy game
Personally I hate the AI, it just send lines of trash units none stop until you steam roll it with trebs and force it to quit.
Do you still have to buy the newish campaigns?
its an average game, maybe buy it.
that's not a bad price for the definitive edition. learn how to 1v1 by playing the game against the computer
gotta build handcannoneers and hope they get buffed
buy supreme commander forged alliance instead
I just bought it op. aoe3 complete is on sale for the same price.
>have fun with the aoe series on my own
>not even good, just like play it comfy and chill
>try it out in multplayer a few times
>haven't played it in years since
Don't.
how? you got wrecked by people playing it for 20 years, how does that ruin the singleplayer you enjoyed?
Idk. Guess I got temporarily mindbroken and eventually forgot about it.
1v1 is fun, don't listen to the scrubs who weren't good enough to play ranked and are salty about the notion of someone enjoying the game in a semi competitive nature. Hera and Spirit of the Law both have good videos to get you started, just know you'll probably lose a good bit to start until you get in your right elo range, don't get discouraged just take it on the chin. The most fun I have is honestly teams with friends, if you have a friend who likes RTS have him pick it up with you and do 2v2.
its the best korean clicker style strategy game, much better and more dynamic than starcraft
why do people prefer 2 to 3?
3 is dumbed down in a couple of ways, workers dont need to drop off resources. less focused on the actul gameplay because of the home port thing. 3 is slightly more micro heavy
Are the roman civs even good?
I have it rotting on Steam since launch, and the other version prior to that.
it's a good game even if you don't play MP.
If you don't have fun with the MP then stop.
>how do I learn
Play the tutorials (art of war) then move to youtube (I can recommend Survivalist's tutorial but I find his coaching kinda meh)
