This thing has saved me from the clutches of MMOs and GaaS cancer. For the first time in like half a decade, I am enjoying booting up completely random shit and playing through them/grinding out the achievements.
I am cured. I am complete. I love the Steam Deck, but please don't buy one because I want this thing to remain a niche interest and not a mainsteam casualtroony object.
Yeah, being able to get away from my computer has been helping me actually play vidya.
I know that feel. Being able to sit outside and play an old JRPG is so nice. Not being tied to a desk is one of the best parts about getting one.
I bet you were one of the morons who dismissed the notion that playing games at a desk sucked ass and ruined the experience, but now that Gaben has freed you from your shackles you're telling everyone what they already know. Frick PCBlack folk, Steam Deck is based and you don't deserve it.

1. I'm pretty sure the Steam Deck is gaas like regular steam.
2. Why not just use your normal desktop?
>steam is a game as a service
Yep it's braindamaged zoomer hours
Same, but it's induced me to do the same on my main machine. I'm finally free of the clutches of Destiny and Lost Ark because they're not supported. Been playing several single player games in my backlog and loving it.
>This thing has saved me from the clutches of [...] cancer
>I am enjoying being gay/grinding out the achievements
ok.
>playing games is gay
ok coper
>waiting until the thread hits page 10 to reply
only one Black person coping in here, son
sneed
>don't buy one because I want this thing to remain a niche interest
Yeah I wouldn't worry about that.
This is me but for grindy jrpgs and shit like disgaea. Too bad sleep mode bugs the game out sometimes but it is nice to grind anywhere.
>grinding
You're slaves, doing busywork on your free time for imaginary rewards.
You should stop only playing on pc, and get yourself a console.
You just discovered that playing games is more enjoyable if you actually play them
There are so many distractions with PC gaming you don't notice how detrimental they are to the experience until they aren't there. Before you even realize it, it becomes about tinkering and optimizing your set-up and performance more than it is about actually playing the game. Yeah, you can spend hours setting up a custom interface for all your emulators but I guarantee you that once you're done you don't play any of them for more than 15 minutes.
exactly, been having a blast with AC IV Blackflag in bed after work
