Not the OP and I have a shit PC but on poverty mode with supposedly 140+ fps it still feels incredibly laggy like I'm actually playing on 30fps.

AMD user? Whenever I first start playing I get some weird frame drops when people appear on the screen or when I fire my gun for the first time, but afterwards it feels fine. I have a friend who can't even get it to launch whos using a 6800XT, but he says from his research its a Windows LSTC thing, not his GPU

I have it mostly fixed now, it looks like the actual release has fixed it for me. (Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been able to play the game much). The only preformance stuff I recognize now is the game gets a bit stuttery when I have a lot of shit open on my PC, but I think thats due to my shitty RAM and not the game.

My main gripe with premier mode is that it strongly benefits 5 stacks who know their best map as a team (but that's mainly a matchmaking problem pairing 5 stacks with random enemies) and in solo Q you exclusively seem to end up playing Overpass or Inferno.

valve always roll out big updates on thursdays and the competitive map queue was data mined yesterday but it's currently not available ingame and its the only thing left that needs testing
if valve still wants to meet the cs2 launch in summer deadline summer officially ends on the 23rd and again valve likes to release things on thursdays so the 21st seems like the most probable release date
so why not open up the flood gates for the last week of testing

The only issue I have with this game is that, when I play my first match, there are random freezes for the first minute or two, and then it runs smoothly.
This was more common on CSGO than it is on CS2 for me. The real annoying thing is the freezes everytime an enemy appears on screen or hits me.

It's funny to me, but I basically stopped playing the CS series because CSGO literally felt like you all claim CS2 feels now.
I would try CSGO, fail to hit anything, then in a fit of madness, re-download 1.6 or source and then go on to click heads like I was used to doing.
So CS2, in my experience, is smooth as butter and it feels like I'm playing 1.6 or source again. It's fun and while I suck after over a decade hiatus, I am finding myself addicted again, because I know it's my poor skill rn, and not the game fricking me over.
So something like this has to be going on for you CSGO players. Something, which may never be fuly explained, changed from source to GO, and it 'feels' like they changed it back from go to 2.
I'm sorry you all are struggling like I did back then with go, but give it a shot, and if you cant adapt (like i couldnt with go) youll get over it and move on from CS like I did (until they drew me back in by copying 1.6/source).

because I'm a thirty year old boomer old gay and EVERYONE I know who used to play 1.6/source with me are suddenly returning and playing CS2 after we all hard quit CS after GO came out and everyone agreed it was stupid bad.

CS:GO was infamously riddled with problems since its inception since its an aborted console counter strike that landed up on PC. The original developer was booted off and Valve had to take on development (hopeless). The netcode was outdated 2003 HL2 shit and every update they introduced was an absolute fricking disaster (R8) so all they did for years is milk teenagers for their lunch money with obnoxious skins and mumble rap victory music.
CS2 is a step up in every way. Sorry that you don't have an advantage with wonky af netcode anymore and that everyone's on more of a level playing field.
