Last few updates have been really underwhelming with the amount of time between them. Taking 6 months to make 4 levels + 1 or 2 new enemies + a weapon variant is not acceptable. I have high hopes for this game when we get a custom level editor.

Whiplash is fine now. I barely notice the changes nowadays. If you can keep you Style rank above S you should have no issues with hard damage. The whiplash is still a movement tool, what it's not is a free healthpack as it used to be.

The idea isn’t bad, it’s just executed poorly. If he made it so that when you whiplashed, you “shoved blood away” with the rushing air so that you couldn’t heal, nobody would complain. The problem is there’s no justification for the soft heal cap penalty, which reminds you it’s nothing but a balance decision. Balance should FEEL organic and emergent, even if you know objectively it’s arbitrary and tuned.

5-3 is also pretty good, but yeah, the rest of the Wrath layer really sucks ass. 5-2 is by far the worst level in the game, even worse than Prelude levels, it feels really rushed, which is baffling considering updates take like 6 months or more each

I like this game and look forward to the next update, I perfect ranked the content and play the survival mode from time to time. That said here are my cricisms

except this is the most fun scenario in the game easily, do you never do cybergrind or something? and when is there ever no walls to jump off of, there is literally always a way to gain vertical height and maintain it

I think the enemy roster lacks some kind of melee pressure unit type enemy which is not a miniboss like sm or ferryman. I guess mannequins would fill this role since they look like strays on steroids and being able to stick on walls.

The new enemy that has been teased for the beginning of act 3 is basically a late-game fodder with some melee attacks and homing shots, but i feel the melee had poor tracking and i dont think they're going to be able to melee you if you keep jumping high

You can melt every non-special enemy extremely fast, stuff like turrets virtues etc have a ton of solid ways to instantly kill. Mindflayer and ferryman are tanky but theyre rare and can still be melted fast

I am too of a brainlet but what's the point of green rocket launcher and red pistol? I can see that pistol can be used as a ranged parry but I can't see green cannon's usefulness beyond cerberus instakill and stunning insurrectionist.
It's a good chunk of damage on nearly any tanky enemy, the problem is that whiplashing the cannon ball and parrying it is pretty fricking janky, sometime the ball will just break, other times you'll whiplash towards the enemy. Red revolver is good on tight rooms where you can guarantee several bounces will hit, a fully charged Alternate red revolver can 1 shot a Virtue

Normally it sucks, now try firing it at point blank after charging it 25% and then immediatelly punching. Now its a quick 12 damage, instakills sentries and some other enemies
It also has a ridiculous damage bonus against cerberus, outside of the explosion
You can also shoot at the enemy, and then hit them with a splitshot or a piercing gun. so you get to do both the gun's damage and explode the projectile
