Paldea's Elite 4 is really popular, Poppy is a cute e-girl dressed like a doll on top of that, Rika is by far the most popular gen 9 character and an absolute hit even compared to the other Elite 4 members, and that Sabrina is a classic character dressed like a madam who will ohohohohoho at you which is always nice.

Masters was dead on arrival simply by being a live service gacha game on mobile. Had it been released as a Gen 7 spinoff console game with no gacha (and no Gens 8 & 9, maybe for the sequel), it probably would've been better received among series fans who aren't gambling and FOMO addicts, or people could at least play it ten years from now because there would've been no EoS to kill the whole game outright (R.I.P. Duel).
